£100 charge for 3 minutes while dropping off the kids. The letter reached me more than 14 days after the alledged incident but none of this matters to One Parking Solution.

A Modern-Day Shakedown Disguised as Business

ZZPS Limited & One Parking Solutions – A Modern-Day Shakedown Disguised as Business

If I could give less than one star, I would.

I have just been coerced into paying £170 to ZZPS Limited — the private debt collection henchmen acting on behalf of the equally disgraceful One Parking Solutions. Their so-called “fine” stemmed from a two-minute oversight where I parked without immediately displaying my Blue Badge — a legitimate badge that I did in fact provide during my appeal.

Did that evidence matter? Absolutely not.

Instead, I was met with a faceless, cynical bureaucracy, utterly uninterested in fairness, decency, or basic human compassion. I did appeal — I did provide proof — but because I failed to respond to a single reply I didn’t see in time, I was met with an escalating series of threats demanding payment. ZZPS presented themselves like legal authorities, but let’s be clear: this is intimidation wrapped in red ink.

Make no mistake — this is not about maintaining order or fairness in car parks. It’s about extracting money from vulnerable people using technicalities and pressure tactics. They rely on people being too busy, too confused, or too scared to fight back.

The behaviour of both One Parking Solutions and ZZPS is shameful — morally bankrupt and predatory. To enforce a £170 charge over two minutes and a visible disability is not “parking enforcement” — it is extortion. It’s legal bullying of the worst kind.

These companies operate in the shadows of legality, exploiting the grey areas of civil law for financial gain, not justice. They are the reason trust in the private parking industry is in freefall.

To anyone reading this: be very wary. These companies do not care about fairness or your circumstances. Their business model depends on people like you falling into a trap they have no intention of letting you out of — no matter how reasonable your explanation or how valid your evidence.

I paid because I had no real choice. But I’ll use my voice so others can be warned.

I WAS ALMOST £100 OUT OF POCKET

I went with a friend for lunch at Shoreham Airport. I had already downloaded the app which wouldn’t seem to work as there was no signal. I had change in the car and I paid for three hours because rather annoyingly you can’t pay for two and I displayed the ticket in the window. I am 80 and my 90 year-old friend felt that we were safe to go and have our lunch. Imagine my surprise when I got a letter from One Parking Solution saying that as I hadn’t responded to their first letter of which I’d seen nothing of, I was now find £100. To be honest, this really scared me because I don’t have that much money to throw around. I went onto their website where there were two random photos of my car driving around the airport looking for a space and too close-ups of my number plate. There were no photographs of my car in a parked position and so I did begin to wonder whether this was some sort of scam. I then found the trust pilot reviews and found that although it’s not a scam as such they were trying to get money out of me when I had clearly displayed a parking ticket. I thought I’d thrown the ticket away but thankfully I have now found it in the glove compartment. Note to self, always keep your parking tickets if you pay by cash. I’m not sure how much longer this company can continue to behave like this.

No human element to company

I understand I clearly misread parking instructions and Sunday was not free. £60 for being 4 minutes post night shift seems bit drastic. Appealed hoping for a human touch and response. Was given generic unsuccessful letter with no actual specific information and then no name I could ask to focus further. I understand there are rules but also this is just a way to print cash

Lost reg number

This company is a joke, call them as I'm working in a car park they manage, give reg no - done

Then get a ticket saying I did not have a permit - but I called you and everything was fine like the last 10 times I was working in the same building.

They will not listen and refuse to accept they made a mistake despite the same thing happening to another trade on another date we were working there but luckily caught the woman taking pictures of the van - guess what they put the incorrect reg on the "system"

Appeal was a waste of time, zzps another joke firm on my case and want £170 - jog on see you in court and ill be counter claiming

Legitimate scam

Legitimate scam - any landlord using these is supporting scammers - no letter until enforcement called and then no way of disputing the claim.

Scam company

Parked 21st march in the co op in bishops rise Hatfield. Admittedly parked badly but appealed the £60 fine due to age (76) and in considerable pain through an injury to my leg which made me less aware . I sent the appeal by letter to this company within the same week I got the pcn. Didn’t receive any reply till today when I received a letter from a debt collection agency claiming I owed them £170 - which included their ‘administration fees’ . I received NOTHING by email or post from one parking solutions to inform me that the appeal had failed and the original fine of £60 was payable? I don’t trust this company enough to believe they even tried to contact me at all - ignoring my appeal and passing it straight to the debt collectors. Sent letter this morning to them asking for a subject access request for them to prove they emailed me. I will not be using this shop again.

Total Scumbags trying to steal money…

Total Scumbags trying to steal money from working people - stopped for about 5mins to pick up my order from a Costa Coffee shop on Sunday late afternoon - I was stopped in front of a gate to a development which was closed at the time. My wife stepped out, got our order and came back to the car. I had my hazard lights on whilst stopped. I got this £65 ticket from these clowns saying I parked on a private land. How is this justified?

Read the signs!

Parked in an area where you have to register your number plate when you go into the newsagent. There are warning signs telling you this. There were 3 additional spaces just round the side of the run of shops. Those warning signs look so similar but the wording is slightly different. These ones are resident parking rather than permit parking. They make the signs look so similar. What a dodgy company. Hate them

fraudulent car parking charges

This company is financially exploiting people and should be closed down. We received a parking charge after we had paid for parking in a car park in Ceredigion. While paying my partner received a warning from a local business owner who said multiple people had paid and received a parking charge regardless. Fortunately this meant we kept the receipt. Not all people will know of previous actions of one parking solution and likely end up paying 60-£100 in fines if they have no proof of ticket purchase.

parasites

I'm disgusted Brighton and Hove city council continue to use these rats. There is a long running history of them ripping off local residents with no consequences. I received a parking charge in Portslade. After my appeal was rejected I decided to pay the £60 charge. I checked the payment on my banking app and it was pending. Naturally I thought that was the end of it. However a few weeks later I received a letter from some other parisites, a debt collection company called ZZPS demanding £170. I spoke with my bank and it transpires I had made the payment but One Parking Solutions had rejected it (despite having made it well with in the timeframe). Clearly they wanted to milk me for more.
Please beware of this next level underhand tactic, I see others have commented this has happend to them too.

As others have said you can not contact One Parking Solutions and they don't reply to complaints. The debt collection parasites deny they can talk to them and simply tell you if you don't pay it will be escalated, bailiffs blarr blarr. I made the mistake of engaging them directly, shouldn't have bothered.
If you are a victim of these thieves please contact your local MP or councillor I think it's the only hope we have of getting them out of our city.
Personally I will not use any carpark they manage ever again nor will I use shops that use them.

There is no point it trying to reason with them, they do not care about the psychological and financial damage they inflict.
absolute scum.

Terrible experience with this parking…

Terrible experience with this parking company. They have no phone number to make complaints, which is already a red flag. Their parking officer outright lied about the parking conditions, making it confusing for drivers. On top of that, they sneak around and take pictures from a distance, so you don’t even realise you’re being ticketed until it’s too late. Feels like a scam designed to trap people rather than a fair system. Avoid at all costs!

Received PCN while was in hospital

Received PCN while was in hospital, despite the car was parked in my own parking bay under a private land. The ticket was displayed & managing agency email one parking solution & they ignored. Managing director also emailed the customer service & again they ignored. Then we received a legal letter from ZZPS threatening & harassing to pay £170 otherwise they will send baylift, the car owner is disabled & several email sent them & they neglected. This is the most disgusting service to treat people, residents. I complained and asked for the complaint procedure & again they ignored. Kept saying you must pay. Nikki the administrator was extremely rude & neglected everything. They don't even deserve 1 Star. Any help is much appreciated as we need to seek refund. Was pressured to pay to stop baylift

One parking solution

One parking solution . Are just a bunch of swindlers has are the company they use to collect outstanding parking fees ZZPS . I visited a small car park at llangrannog on the 26/28/29 December 2024, The first time I visited I didn’t actually see pay kiosk , it was only when I returned I realised it was paying ( hands up my mistake) . We returned home and some 2 weeks later received 2 penalty notices one for the 26th and the other 29th , the 26th was which I duly accepted as I had not paid on that day. However the 29th stated my ticket had lapsed, which I profoundly disagree, I 100% know it hadn’t. So to start the penalty's, did not reach me conveniently! till it had exceeded the time frame which meant it was now £100!!. It stated if I disputed the fine to email them , I looked for a contact number , none available SHOCK!!! NOT . So I paid the one that I was liable for. As soon as I got of the the which was an automated service, I then went on line to dispute the second on, it asked for my reg number , tried several times to put put it in each time it didn’t recognise it once again very convenient!!!. So I presumed they’d get in touch. And of course they did, they sent it to a collection agent zzps . Who had now put another £70 on top making it £170 . Tried to plead my case to them they was not even listening to me , I then rang them back within 15 mins to see if I got someone a bit more understanding but no both occasions I spoke to 2 different South African women. I asked if I paid it there and then could they reduce the amount has £70 was ridiculous for admin charges. Not the slightest bit of compassion for one parking solution,s in plain sight robbery . These people need stopped , they really are a law unto themselves. Lesson learnt in further I will photograph the time myself , and fee I’ve paid. Not but a bunch of robbing b###ards 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Parked for 4 minutes with signs…

Parked for 4 minutes with signs obscured by trees and got a £60 ticket, paid it and was told on the website that the payment hadn't gone through, checked my credit card and the payment was pending twice! Checked back again and no sign of the payment on my card, now up to £100. No chance of getting them on the phone, no way to email them. This lot are a bunch of crooks, beware.
I have contacted my credit card and they say that is no problem with my card but One parking Solution ltd have decided to decline my payment ( multiple times). I tried to pay with the phone payment system and was told my card was out of date ( which it wasn't). My hunch is that they are delaying the process of me paying so that they can increase the fee to the maximum amount. I am now sending them a postal order and escalating a complaint to the IPC and B&H city council.
