I am 78 years old and was a bit concerned about having my car charger fitted, but there was no need to worry as Tim the engineer arrived on time and explained everything thing to me, he ran me through the installation process, he carried out the installation in a very clean manner, no mess and he put everything back in it's place. He then took me to see the work he had done and to see what was what and explained how to use the ohme app. Tim was very understanding with me, Tim is such a pleasant man he did a first class job and left no mess stall.

A lovely tidy install
A lovely tidy install.
The engineer was friendly and courteous and kept me informed at each stage.
The work was sub contracted out to J.PESKETT ELECTRICAL LTD in Hassocks and I would certainly recommend them for electrical work as well.
The Ohme charger looks good and is fully functional using the app. Would definitely recommend Ohme chargers.

Still waiting on the refund
Still waiting on the refund for the full amount paid.
We were originally quoted for a free installation as part of the purchase of a new EV car.
Ohme sent out an engineer who specced up the job and Ohme sent a quote for £0, including full install and all equipment.
later when they sent the same engineer out to do the install, the engineer told us that the og install was no longer possible, and left and Ohme sent another quote for over £1000s of "ground work". I paid the full cost.
weeks later the same engineer came out, said they couldnt do the ground work as they had no equipment.
later the contractor Ohme had used called me to say they couldnt find anyone to do the ground work at the price quoted by Ohme, and they wouldnt be doing it.
After chasing Ohme, the original engineers came out again, and again proposed the original job, no ground work, no extras. £0 cost.
Chased Ohme who said that it was "on hold" until the "owners of the property gave permission". I am the owner of the property, i gave my permission.
They sent out the engineer who carried out the work in the origional quote.
Ohme partially refunded me. I explained we had taken the origional job quoted at £0. I am still waiting for my £400~ to be refunded.
DO NOT USE OHME, they dont have any UK staff, you cannot talk to anyone on the phone, they dont call you, dont email you, their contractors are well intentioned but obviously forced to try to upsell a "special install".
It took 4 MONTHS and £400 for work that was originally quoted and planned to be carried out for £0 a week after purchase.

Callum turned up on time and quickly got down to work.
I found him friendly, knowledgable and informative.
Once the charger had been installed he talked me through how to use it and what In would need.
I would highly recommend Ohme and their installation team. 10/10

Engineer no show… but good when they did.
I was supplied a date by Ohme for the installation and waited in all day for the engineer who never appeared.
Once both Ohme and the installer were contacted the next day they both blamed each other for the mix up and neither wanted to take responsibility for the 8 hours I had waited in for the engineer.
Sadly to date neither have offered any form of compensation.
On the new date supplied the engineer installed the charger in a professional manner.
As pointed out to the installer it was lack of communication that let them down and in a service field that is no good.
With regards Ohme,again communication lets them down,as you end up going round and round being sent from department to department,after being dealt with by an AI chat forum to start with which is more than frustrating.

likes- easy to use charger and clear instructions on the app. customer care has been great.
dislikes- the fitting of the ohme charger took way too long- 3 weeks after the car was delivered.
The charger itself is easy to use however ive had to speak to customer care a number of times due to it continually loosing connection and now the charge is slow and doesnt meet the required amount each night and it errors alot.

Great for first 18 months - service and support terrible
After 18 months of faultless operation, my charger started showing as 'off-line'. It will charge the car to 100% but no other options and schedules work.
I've been exchanging emails with support for 3 weeks now. Other than claiming to have made a 'change to your SIM' 3 weeks ago there's been no progress. Only requests for photos of the installation, charger, label etc etc. All photos provided 2 weeks ago and nothing.
In 8 different emails I've asked for details of the change which was made to my SIM and every time it's ignored. Every email takes 2-3 days to reply to (I'm writing this as I've heard nothing for the last 5 days and am giving up).

As you know, the Ohme charger relies on a multi-net sim to remain online. Given it's multi-net though, we can switch between networks to find the strongest in your area. As long as there's a network with a steady connection, you shouldn't have any issues remaining online.
