- Minimum £200 Trade-In
- When looking for a new chair or bed, an ongoing concern for many prospective customers is what to do with their existing furniture. The disposal can often be expensive and time-consuming and tends to add to the burden of finding the right company to choose. Thankfully, at Oak Tree Mobility we offer an exclusive service that allows you to trade in whatever it is that needs replacing, at no charge whatsoever. In fact, we are now offering our customers a minimum of £200 part exchange for their existing items, regardless of the condition.
- Proudly Supporting the British Heart Foundation
- When we deliver your brand new chair or bed, we’ll collect your furniture at the same time. Doing the delivery and collection in one visit saves you time and hassle. Once your furniture has been collected and returned to our depot, we’ll check it over. If it’s reusable, we’ll donate it to the British Heart Foundation. They will then sell it in one of their many shops throughout the UK and use the proceeds to fund their life-saving research. In doing this, we have so far raised over £250,000!
- Delivery and Installation Included
- We offer a two-man white-glove delivery and installation service included in the price of all our chairs and beds. When they arrive, they will ask you where you would like your furniture to be placed. They will bring the chair or bed into your home, unwrap it, and then remove all the packaging. Once it is set up, they will help you familiarise yourself with the bed and its controls. When you are satisfied that everything is as it should be, we will ask you to complete a quick survey about our service.

Chris was very helpful and fully explained all the pros and cons of the riser, possible dual controls, and benefits of the unique riser features of the cedar model that we selected. I am confident that this will be just what I have been looking for to help my wife following knee surgery and other health diagnoses.

I recently purchased a rise and recline chair from this company but in the day of the visit from their agent he constantly kept saying that the price he'd quoted was a one day offer, i payed in full on the day and oaktree mobility took their money within 3 days, I was told I'd receive a courtesy call about my experience but had the weekend before this would happen over the weekend I made a decision to cancel because I felt I was pressured into buying now oaktree mobility are taking their time in refunding my payment they informed me that it can take upto 14 days to process my refund but in this day and age where electronic payments are instant and they took their money within 3 days I find this totally unacceptable near if you ever have dealings with this company

Very happy with Chaz
Very happy with Chaz, not pushy, an easy going meeting, chose a bed and fabric, great service. Thanx
An extremely thorough representative.
We had a visit today from Ian Bridges of Oak Tree Mobility to explain and demonstrate the company's riser recliner chairs. He was extremely thorough in taking measurements and finding out exactly what I need from a chair. He wasn't at all pushy, no hard sales! He brought a chair with him for me to try and lots of material swatches. I highly recommend both Ian Bridges and Oak Tree Mobility.
Targeting the Elderly
My 85 year old mother filled in an online form to receive a brochure for riser recliner chairs. Shortly afterwards she was called to say a member of the team could come today with a demo chair. She agreed thinking they were just being helpful. 'Michael' arrived at the almshouse where she lives (because she doesn't have much money) and within a couple of hours of her request for a brochure had sold her a chair at the cost of £3,270 and walked off with a deposit of half that. She thought she had got a bargain because he told her the original price was £4,000.
She had had no time to compare prices, consider the decision she was making or discuss it with anyone else. Although Michael left a leaflet of Terms and Conditions, which explained Oak Trees rights if she failed to pay, there was no mention of her right to cancel if she changed her mind.
Although we have cancelled the order and Oak Tree have said they will refund the money, she is left feeling frightened and worried.
Targeting the elderly in this way is appalling behaviour and I am currently making a complaint to Trading Standards via the CAB.

Chaz changed the key lock. The other company, freedom mobility let me down. chaz changed the key lock, so I can now use my scooter for hospital appointments and have my freedom. I have been diagnosed recently with cancer and need support and Chaz has made this difference and i now have my independence back. Thank you so much Oak Tree.

Awful company
Awful company, they sold my mother, a vulnerable, 85 year old great grandmother, a bed costing £2500. From day one, my mother has struggled to get in or out of the bed, this has resulted in slips off the edge of the bed, falls, ambulance call outs and pain for my mum.
My mum was 5ft tall in her younger days, unfortunately her height was not checked by Oak Tree when the sale was agreed. They mentioned they had a bed in the warehouse which someone had not wanted and funnily enough, they happened to be in her area the very next day!
Of course, the information led my mum to believe that not only was she getting a bargain, but also, this was company who were helpful and accommodating.
If Oak Tree had carried out a very basic check when selling her the bed, they would have been aware the bed is far too high for her to get in and out safely and comfortably. Their records state she's 5ft 4" which is absolutely laughable, she isn’t 5 ft 4 even if she wears stilettos!
Basically they've exploited an elderly lady who wanted to be comfortable in her old age.
Their 'Mission' states:
Bringing happiness through helping people. The mission is close to all our hearts at Oak Tree. You’ve seen it in our service already, and should you need us again after the delivery of your chair, bed or bath lift we’ll be there for you then.
What it should actually say is "Our Mission is to rinse you of as much money as possible. Our brochures don't have any prices which allows us to quote silly prices and if you don't buy we can sort a bargain at a slightly cheaper silly price.
My mum now is having to sleep in a single bed in her spare room as it is no longer safe for her to attempt to clamber into the bed.
She is a proud lady and has spent the last few months struggling so unfortunately we appear to have missed the opportunity for a replacement or refund.
Do not waste your money, my advice is go to a reputable supplier.
