Good luck if you need to return something. They state a return ticket is included with the order. It never is. When you try to contact them to return an item ….. no reply. Very disappointing because I do like their clothing. But they have lost a longtime customer as a result of poor customer service.

Disappointing experience with North Sails – but great service from Gumpel & Co

I bought a pair of North Sails shoes from Gumpel & Co, and the store has done everything they could to help me with a problem with the shoes. Unfortunately, their supplier, Zip-It Agency, refused to take any responsibility. They simply replied that they have sold 200,000 pairs of shoes without any issues, and therefore believe there cannot be anything wrong with my pair – which I find to be a very poor way of handling customer complaints.

I want to praise Gumpel & Co for their kindness and efforts to solve the issue, but North Sails / Zip-It Agency deserves my lowest rating for their lack of customer service and accountability.
The quality of the shoes did not live up to expectations, and you’re left without help if any problem occurs.

I’ve bought a few things now, including a winter coat and some t-shirts, and I have to say the quality is amazing. Properly well-made clothing that lasts.

Just a heads up if you’re ordering from the website, the sizing is Italian so you’ll probably want to go a size up.

Customer service has been spot on too, really quick to respond and keen to make sure you’re happy. Honestly, this has become my favourite brand and I keep coming back for more.

Roger Hall at North sails in Bay Of Islands has been a superstar. Great advice, great personal service including coming out on the boat to check their product is working well etc

The zipper on my jacket broke after 3 or 4 uses and there is no customer service on the site if bought the product in a store

NORTH SAIL (Charleston, SC) I tore my MainSail earlier this year and bought a 'USED' one off EBay until I could afford a NEW replacement. I went out to 5-6 different Sailmakers and recv'd a wide range of prices. North Sail was not the most competitive price-wise, but sure made up the difference in the purchase/service relationship. Ervin, John, & Tripp were great to deal with from a knowledge standpoint and did everything to insure I knew I made the right decision...from measuring my rig, to making recommendations, adjustments, to actual installation at MY LOCATION. No, not the best costwise, but the difference is neglible when I have the confidence the crew at NORTH SAIL-Charleston, SC have my back should I need help along the way....ALL the others just wanted to sell a sail!

Would not go here, no delivery as it was stopped halfway. Northsails implied it was my fault despite other companies has been succeeful to deliver with same info. Probably as a joke, they said a compensation voucher will be put in my account. Ofcourse it did not 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
