I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with this solicitor firm and would strongly advise others to avoid using their services.

I was charged for property searches and paid the required fees in good faith. Shortly afterwards, I was informed that they were unable to continue handling my case. While I accepted their decision and was willing to appoint a new solicitor, I was waiting for them to provide the search results so I could proceed without unnecessary delay or additional cost.

However, instead of allowing me the opportunity to transfer my case properly, they contacted the seller’s solicitor without my knowledge or consent and indicated that I would not be proceeding. This directly interfered with my purchase and prevented me from instructing a new solicitor in time.

As a result of their actions, the seller withdrew from the transaction, causing me significant financial loss, despite the fact that I had already paid fees and provided all required documentation.

Furthermore, after informing me that they could no longer act for me, they completely failed to respond to my emails. I sent multiple follow-ups and documents, yet received no response at all. Even if a firm is unable to continue acting, they still have a professional responsibility to respond to their client’s communications. Ignoring a client in this way is unacceptable and highly disrespectful.

The level of service I received was extremely poor, demonstrating a serious lack of professionalism, communication, and basic duty of care.

I will never use this firm again and I strongly advise others to avoid them.
Very poor customer service and a very frustrating and costly experience overall.

Excellent team!

I worked with Joanne, Julie and Teresa in the Rotherham branch. Once with selling my property and next with purchasing on a separate occasion. Amazing service and support. Friendly staff. Quick to answer emails and call. Explained everything. Raised my enquiries on time. The wait period was based on the results coming through which has nothing to do with the solicitors. Prices are amazing compared to other solicitors. Would return and recommend to everyone

I was appointed a duty solicitor whilst…

I was appointed a duty solicitor whilst at the police station which I wasn’t happy with. Someone recommended Karen from Norrie Waite and Slater solicitors so I give the Sheffield branch a call. Karen has been amazing from start to finish. She has worked with honesty and integrity and has spent the time with me getting all the facts of the case and challenging the false accusations. Today we received a Not Guilty verdict and I cannot thank her enough. She was so professional yet respectful and conducted the trial amazingly. Thank you so much!!

First Class, professional and very knowledgable

I came to Norrie Waite & Slater solicitors after a bad police interview upon I was appointed a duty solicitor via the police. I never felt heard or understood which left me feeling scared.
I then contacted Norrie waite & Slater asking for help.
Willem Lowe initially supported me and ultimately put Tom Woodward and Abigail Peacock behind me to assist in helping me.
I at no point felt uncomfortable talking very openly with them, which is something I often struggle with in general.
I felt safe and I trusted them moving forward.
In the build up to the court case I was constantly informed of all the procedures and rules etc.
In court I was appointed another fantastic person called Ms Pencheon my barrister. She was actually beyond fantastic, she was so warming and helpful. I know she will be a rising star and I am convinced she will go far.
The same applies to Tom and Abigail, without their understanding and skills I fear the wrong outcome may have evolved.
But I am here today, writing this and I don't have enough words to say in order to thank them all from the very bottom of my heart.
I am eternally grateful and I would be very happy to deal with them again, hopefully not in this setting, and I cannot see why I would.
All said, thank you and I wish you all well and have a fantastic Christmas.

Thank you

Incompetent and lazy

I tried to buy a house from someone represented by Nick Elliott from Norrie Waite and Slater, but it fell through due to his incompetence and laziness. It took 8 weeks from enquiries being raise to us pulling out and we still hadn't received responses to all enquiries. Throughout this time Nick continually tried to state that certian documents weren't required (despite being needed per the title deed), missed emails and generally took a combative and unhelpful approach to the process. If you want to sell your house I wouldn't use Norrie Waite and Slater

Disgusting Behaviour By Your Solicitor.

We are an online will writing company who advertise on social media and have had one of your solicitors unprofessionally attack our company and insinuate that we provide unprofessional and illegal services. We will be making an official complaint to the SRA, and STEP. Your staff should be beyond reproach and NOT harass other company’s online or in any form!
