We bought a pergola from a reputable company Downtown Stores in Grantham at a cost of nearly £9000.00 Norfolk Leisure sent their (fitters) to erect the pergola and the requirements were 24sq " concrete pads to work from which our builders complied to, at the time we had a massive garden project ongoing Indian stone entertainment area etc.
The pergola was erected upon closer inspection by our builders we found that the pergola was out of line with the house by 8-9" which then sent the Indian stone out of sink Norfolk Leisure customer service team said we had signed our rights away as we had agreed the erection of the pergola was good, it looked okay to us however we're not builders.
After contacting Citizens advice Norfolk Leisure were wrong to suggest we had signed our rights away and they had to put it right, Norfolk Leisure refused I contacted Laura Hulley at Downtown Stores she negotiated with Norfolk Leisure and they came to a decision to correct their mistake but at a cost of 50% each.
Two different fitters were sent to realign the pergola our builders having had to take up the Indian stone around the pillars to move the structure.
When the fitters left our builders noticed splashes of paint on the brand new stone inside the pergola upon further inspection we found 4 of the 6 blinds scratched and bent and they had touched up 3 of the blinds with the paint without informing us of the damage ( bearing in mind we had never used it)they offered £750 compensation one blind alone cost approx £1000 what an insult.
Paul Marsh from Downtown then got involved Norfolk Leisure said they would take away the pergola and offered a goodwill gesture of £250.00, the cost of taking up the stone and replacing it again including labour would have been around £1000.
We have settled for a pittance as we didn't want them back on our premises.
Shame on you Norfolk Leisure your staff were ignorant rude and dismissive of the problem from day one.

Bought an outdoor table and chairs Sheringham cube set. First of all it was a total nightmare to put together and thats from someone whos quite handy. If I had known this I would never have bought it.
We just gave away a similar set on Facebook for free , reason was its started to rust the first time it rained. This one is built exactly the same way , its cheap Chinese rubbish only double the price of our first set.
Companies need to stop selling this garbage to the public. This company seems to have a whole stock of poor quality items.
Appalled - Disgusting customer services with damaged goods
I am absolutely appalled at the shocking customer services from this company who supplied my garden furniture via Newbank Garden Centre. I purchased very expensive garden furniture from them in August 2024. It arrived damaged. It is now Feb 25 and I've called them, e-mailed them 9 times to hasten my replacements or refund and they simply ignore me. I got an initial offer of £100 refund from the garden centre (for a £2000 set), which had multiple scratches, discolouration and a chip in the glass top table, but since I declined miniscule 5% refund offer, they simply ignore my e-mails. Disgusting customer service both in the delivery and the attempts to resolve my complaint.

A rusted looking wreck of a fire pit sat on the patio is extremely undesirable so the design, while aesthetic in its original form is pleasing, is ruined after only a few weeks of being outside.
Also, the lid doesn’t cover the edges of the pit and so water leaks all into the inside meaning the lid is a pointless expense.
Avoid this companies products at all costs.

From the moment we stepped into the showrooms we were so impressed with the product and attention from Charlie in particular.
After choosing our furniture we had a long wait for our new apartment to be finished and Norfolk Leisure stored it for us.
The delivery went smoothly and when we realised we only needed one parasol they happily came and took it back and gave us full refund.
The quality of the furniture is superb and the staff , especially Charlie certainly go that extra mile
First class customer service
I am so surprised to read the previous poor reviews for Norfolk Leisure as I have only ever received exemplary service from them. I ordered an all weather rain cover from them in 2021 for my Life garden sofa and unfortunatley in 2022 it ripped. Jo at Norfolk Leisure sent a replacment within a week and was very apologetic. Unfortunately the second cover has just ripped (possibly caused by the recent high winds) and as it has a 3 year warranty, Jo arranged for a second cover to be sent and it was received within 3 days. I'm a little disappointed with the quality of the Life sofa cover, however this is no reflection on Norfolk Leisure and their customer service and professionalism has been first class. I would highly recommend them.

Appalling customer service - purchased Titchwell corner sofa set through Winfields Outdoors which was damaged on an integral part of the leg frame after informing Winfields who in turn was in conversation with Norfolk Leisure decided between them that I had to pay for replacement - even though the item was unusable and unfit for purpose under Consumer rights. This was ongoing from July 23 to August 17th when I mentioned to Nicola and Jonathan at Winfields that I had sent my case to BBC consumer programme Rip off Britain and guess what the very next day I was offered a free replacement frame.
So if you find yourself in a battle with this company or companies selling its products, know your Consumer rights and mention Rip off Britain.
Also these companies seem to always have a generic reply to bad reviews, once again appalling customer service.
Waited 18 months for a replacement…
Waited 18 months for a replacement gazebo canopy. Lied to for the previous 18 months about when they would be available. I paid £112 for it, it comes, one light shower and water is pouring through. Customer service tell me it's not waterproof, even though it states in the description that it is shower proof? I explain it was a very light shower and my original canopy did not leak in any rain. Basically told by cheeky customer service that because he has been in business 30 years, he knows best. Second offering of lies and bad customer service from these charlatans. STAY CLEAR.
Good Honest People to Deal With
I bought garden furniture from a large well known furniture retailler and unfortunately it developed a serious problem. The furniture had been supplied to them by Norfolk Leisure. Despite repeated calls and mails to the retailler there was no positive action and I felt I was being fobbed off. When I spoke to Jo and Charlie at Norfolk Leisure they understood that I had a genuine problem which they ‘owned’ and rectified promptly. I am very pleased with the way they acted as a company, and based on my experience I would have no doubts about dealiing with them again.

Bought a luxury led gazebo, Canopy tore and came loose at stitching after a month or so, trying to buy a new one for months, told that they are coming from CHINA.. and won't be here till July, was the USA last year and they never came from there. Charlatans, stay clear. I'm off to pass the word on social media.

I ordered some garden furniture as a surprise for my husbands birthday. I had an email to say I would be contacted to arrange a suitable date for delivery. They didn’t bother to contact me so the furniture arrived 2 weeks early on a day my husband was here so the surprise was ruined. I questioned why I hadn’t been contacted and the delivery man was extremely rude and aggressive. Why is it that companies can get away with such poor customer service now?

On the plus side, they were willing to send an order to me even though I am an individual (they made quite a point of the fact that they only usually deal with retailers rather than end customers). Happy to receive my order :-)
On the down side, they weren't at all willing to try and get an item ordered in - only wanted to sell me what they had in stock at that time. I'd have been happy to wait for it to come in, but it seemed like it was too much effort for them.

Jack delivered the table and assembled it for me he is such a credit to your company and also a special mention to Spencer who always goes above and beyond to help us get exactly what we need. Also thank you for supplying our Ooni Pizza oven it makes the best pizzas.

Fantastic service and amazing furniture
I recently bought some garden furniture from Norfolk Leisure, at the time of purchase they explained to me there might be a delay due to global shipping crisis and COVID. This could fully understand and appreciated their honesty, and it was out of their control.
Having waited 6 weeks, it arrived this week and looks outstanding in my garden. The delivery team that delivered where extremely professional.
