Ordered at lunchtime and the item was on my doorstep at 08:00 next day. All as described ,installed and working ok, so far extremely pleased.

I purchased an RC buggy from Nitrotek which initially worked well for the first ten uses. However, after that, the vehicle completely lost drive to the rear wheels.
When I contacted customer services, I was asked to troubleshoot the issue myself with guidance from their help desk. This meant I had to dismantle the buggy and attempt to diagnose the fault. Eventually, the support team identified what they believed to be the issue and ordered a replacement part.
That was over seven months ago, and the part has still not arrived. My buggy remains unusable.
I find this extremely disappointing. The product failed within three months of purchase, and rather than offering a replacement or arranging a proper repair, Nitrotek placed the burden of fault-finding and repair on me, the customer. This is not acceptable after such a short period of ownership.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before buying from this company.

⚠️ Stay FAR away from Nitrotek RC – they are a complete scam! ⚠️

I bought the Backwash Pro for £250, advertised as a full-metal, upgraded RC car. What I actually got was a cheaply made, poor-quality product backed by the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

👉 Day 1: Car arrived, starter pack glow plug charger didn’t work at all (dead on arrival).
👉 Day 2: Took it for a run, lost an R-clip (normal, bought replacements myself, no issue).
👉 Day 3: Drove it again, second gear completely shredded after only a couple of shifts. The “metal upgraded” gears turned out to be cheap plastic attached to a metal clutch.

That was the start of the nightmare.

I returned the car properly packed with everything included. Nitrotek never even confirmed receiving it until I chased them multiple times over weeks (they don’t allow email contact, you have to file a “support ticket” and just wait). After 4–6 weeks of silence, they finally got back to me and basically blamed everything on me.

They claimed:
• The second gear breaking was my fault (after less than an hour of careful use 🤯).
• The belly pan had scratches (of course it did — it’s the underside of an off-road RC car, it touches the ground by design!).
• The drive shaft popping out was my fault (it was a manufacturing defect).
• The missing R-clip (worth pennies) invalidated my return.
• The glow plug I swapped out during the proper running-in process meant they could charge me for a “used” starter pack — even though their original starter pack was defective from day one.

In the end, they deducted £60 from my refund for things that were not my fault. I got £30 back out of the £90 I was owed. When I opened a Klarna dispute, Nitrotek pushed through a partial refund which automatically closed the case — a trick to get away with stealing customers’ money. I’ve had to reopen the dispute and take it further.

⚠️ This company is a disgrace. They blame customers for their cheap, badly made cars falling apart, then claw back money using excuses like scratches, missing clips, or “used” starter packs that never worked in the first place.

I’ve been into RC for years and I’ve never had a car break this badly, this fast. It’s nothing but cheap Chinese junk sold under the disguise of a premium product.

💀 DO NOT buy from Nitrotek. They will happily rip you off, blame you for their poor quality, and hide behind shady refund tactics. I learned the hard way — please don’t let this happen to you.
