Bait and Switch

Their site shows available stock but our order was pushed out 12 weeks. They never advised.. After a half hour in an online chat the "service rep" advised the parts are reserved to another customer. They still show as available online !!! Highly unethical.

Incorrect Advertisement on website

Recently ordered some JBs. The material arrived like 1 week late and I realized it was wrong. The photo on their website is wrong. Customer Services siad expect and answer within 24 hours. I called 3 days later onlyu to find out they said this is a non-returnable item even after I said I would take store credit. Stay away from Newark. I am not doing business with the people again.

Professor tried to buy Raspberry Pi 5 from them and they sent the wrong model (Raspberry Pi 4) and they are delaying a refund or a return. Safe to say our classes have been a mess ever since and this company has the worst support system or are outright scammers.

They make promises but can't keep them. Shop elsewhere.

Very weird experience with this company, they ended up not being able to complete the order anyways because they tried to use my credit card in an unauthorized country and my bank stopped it, then they emailed me this very weird low effort email filled with errors to ask me to try again, lol uh no, I think my bank was onto something ;). So needless to say, buyer beware.

Received my PA speakers quick, but not the same specs as described

Received my PA speakers quick, but what I received is different from what was described. Hard to trust a company that doesn't send you the items with the correct specs on it, not going to purchase from them again. Also, customer service was hell to deal with, I had like 10 different persons trying to help me on my case since they initially charged me twice, and it got confusing. But at least I ended up receiving my order.

I would give your new customer service…

I would give your new customer service in India a zero if I could. Always problems with website not working properly. Click on ship collect and put in our UPS account number to bill on and it ignores it. Then charges ridiculous shipping amount. Call customer service immed. and they claim they can not do anything about it until the order goes thru, then they tell you once it has gone thru they can't fix it because it's too late! Ridiculous and unprofessional behavior from Newark. never was this way when your customer service was in the USA!!!!

Special Order Parts Received But Not Shipping

I ordered parts that I believe were listed as in stock. Perhaps I made a mistake and the website listed them as Factory stock. I don't think so, but the parts were ordered from factory stock and it took about two weeks for Newark to receive the parts from the manufacturer.

Then, the website still said that Newark was waiting for the parts but customer service said the parts were in. Two days later the website said that Newark had received the parts, yet no shipping occurred. It is now four business days later and the parts still have not shipped. Each day customer service sends me an email saying, "We are still awaiting response from our internal team. Please allow us some more time." And, "Per supplier has shipped the stock [part number] to our warehouse, which is received please allow us some time to have your order allocated and ship the complete order at the earliest."

i'm an industrial electrical buyer..

i'm an industrial electrical buyer... i ordered an $6k electrical cabinet that Newark advertised shipped within 2 or 3 days. I went with Newark because of this "fast response shipping" as i knew this item was big and would likely be drop-shipped from the factor. 4 days later there was no change in order status and no tracking number... i inquired thru the web chat, they would check and respond via email but noting happened, same with a direct email, finally i phoned CS (they answered) and I was told they would inquire but it would take 24 to 48hrs on my now urgent order. CS eventually reported that it has shipped , its now day 10 but still no status change and no tracking number. lesson learned...I won't order here again urgent or otherwise.

This is the worst company I’ve ever…

This is the worst company I’ve ever purchased from. I can’t see how they are still in business. Their purchasing experience is awful. I bought 4 IC’s and it was supposed to be free shipping. However, they switched on me and tried to expedite shipping for twice the original purchase price. No notification as to what they had done. All of a sudden, I'm being charged for an express FedEx delivery, when it was supposed to be free. Customer support is horrible only excuses as to why they can't fix the situation. Also, everyone I talk to is from India.

Missing parts, no desire to fix the problem

I bought an antenna October 3. October 4 it arrived but was missing the hardware that is needed to attach it to the pole. I told them about this Monday October 6. I was told that someone was looking into the problem. Tuesday I was told someone was looking into the problem but that someone would contact me later today (Tuesday) Nobody ever called me. Today Wednesday October 8, I was given some crap about a two day turn around after contacting the warehouse to find out whether ro not the other antennas in stock are missing hardware or not. I get nothing but the runaround and lies from these people.

Do not buy from them. They can't be trusted. IF they mess up an order, they won't make it right. They show no desire to make the customer happy.

Poor service. Archaic website with no online payment system. Overseas support that you can barely understand. .

I setup a Newark account for my business, along with several other vendors. I only created a NET30 account and ordered since they report payment to Duns & Bradstreet to help business credit profile.

Every other vendor provides the option to pay your invoice ONLINE. The only way to pay your invoice with Newark is to mail payment (seriously?) or call (as if busy professionals have time to wait on hold to make a payment).

We live in a digital payment world (for the better part of 3 decades now). EVERY other vendor provides a way to pay online. What kind of company (which sells technology) does not use technology for payment systems. I was told the only way to make an online payment is to create a bills.com account to pay, which is a minimum monthly subscription fee of around $50. I'm a small business and my Newark order was $100. What kind of sense does that make?

So this company wants to force customers to pay a minimum of $600 annually for a bills.com account subscription for the ability to pay online; a service that every other vendor offers for free by providing a payment system integrated into their website.

They don't even have the best prices. Most of what they sell you can find on Amazon.com or similar websites for a much lower price. I am at a loss for how they even exist when they have poor technology, poor service, and their prices are higher than competitors. And every department is operated overseas by people you can barely understand or hear (I kept having to ask them to speak up).

Save yourself and your company the headache and take your business elsewhere.

Returning Products

Newark sent us a potentiometer ($175.00 order) and the product simply does not work. We contacted Newark for a refund or replacement... 8 emails, 3 pictures and a video later the problem is still not solved. At this point they are just sending emails in hopes that we will give up our request which I have done. But I will send a review each day for the next month letting everyone know not to use this shady company. I would give them a "0" on this review if it was an option. Terrible!!

I received a Phishing email asking me…

I received a Phishing email asking me to pay a non-completed invoice that they claimed was unresolved due to credit card not being debited. I checked my Newark Electronics order history and saw the charge as closed for the same amount over 4 years ago. The order invoice number did NOT match that on the phishing email sent to me. The email contained a company address and name and attachement PDF that I did not open or click. I would stay away from Newark Electronics.
