Straightforward, cheap. Their hosting was a great place to start but once my site grew I had to migrate over to Hostinger as they’ve got a more robust memory handling environment. Namecheap was a grea... See more

Namecheap is a great company I have been using them for a while now, the customer support is top notch, never any issues. Can highly recommend.

The renewal fees are very high. Unfortunately, you don’t have any advantage when compared to other companies.

I have been using Namecheap for my domain registration and have had a very positive experience.
The service is easy to use, domain management is straightforward, and everything has worked reliably. Setting up my domain and connecting it to my website was simple, and the DNS changes propagated without any issues.
Overall, a dependable service at a reasonable price. I would happily use Namecheap again for future projects.

I was with these people for 3 years. My needs changed, so I left them. But there were very good. I thought their chat support was very responsive and their reps were very professional. I also had reasons to interact with other departments and they were always flexible and reasonable. If my needs change, I'd have no problem going back to them.

I used to love using Namecheap however the last two times I have used them the second domain I went to buy (same name different ending) said it was taken and I could make an offer... so I checked elsewhere and it was available - so I bought it elsewhere! The first time this happened I thought it was an anomaly but the second time I started to wonder if Namecheap had programmed this in to get domain buyers to pay more for a second domain. Very sneaky and dishonest! Because of this I have lost trust completely and am moving to another provider. Buyers note if Namecheap says the domain you are trying to buy you can make an offer on it for more - check elsewhere if anyone actually owns it - go to a different provider and see if its available to buy for a regular price first!

I migrated after 10 years there. Its gotten worse. Theyre money-crazed idiots who underestimate their clientele's intelligence and options. I was about to give them a 2, but then I remembered how disloyal theyve been, how unhelpful, how many extra charges they put on us. By migrating away, our bill went from $370/yr to $70/yr and I knew it was high but felt I should stay with them, partly cause I support Ukraine. But they ended whatever good feeling I had towards them.

Don't over pay nor give yourself away. There is a bit of a learning curve on how to do things if you're not a website wiz but they have videos and step by step instructions. The most beautiful thing is the private email and personal web address. They have great sales now and then to make it the most affordable. Do not search your wanted website name with other companies as you will soon see they now own what you were considering and you have to buy from them. I never had that happen with namecheap. I tell all my friends to use this company to register web addresses. Remember to get your web address before you register your business name! After its public knowledge of what business name you registered all versions of your .com will owned by someone else. Namecheap makes it easy to manage your registerd sites and keep them protected.

The past year has been less stressful on namecheap
I had no issues with Namecheap until I have to transfer my website name from my sole trader to Pty Ltd (still me). I did all the Aussie stuff (AuDa) for the domain ownership change but Namecheap did not - over 50 emails (no phone) to them and I ended up with my website and emails down for 3 days. Very frustrating, the help centre is based in Ukraine and very polite emails but did not manage to sort out the issue until after 30+ days. Changed to an Aussie based one with phone support and was even cheaper.
Update to Namecheap reply - OK but at the time, this was not really evident of any urgency, it was 54 emails and over 30 days and it only became urgent after I went offline. I emailed the CEO and also the CRM GM with no reply. I asked several times to talk to someone over the phone but was politely declined. It could have been resolved quicker by phone IMHO and I have moved to someone who has phone support should I need it in the future. The expended time and cost on my end was too much. Thanks for the reply.
