I have had to give a one star rating as…

I have had to give a one star rating as there is no zero star option. Zero stars is actually too many for myhosting.com!!
Absolutely abysmal. Do not touch even with the longest bargepole.
I cancelled my account in Feb 2024 after realising that myhosting fees were astronomical in comparison to other providers on the market.
I received numerous emails asking for payments and after months I finally got confirmation my account had been closed in April 2024.
It is now August 2024 and once again myhosting.com are sending me emails requesting payment. I contacted them and they are again telling my my account has not been closed.
I am at my wit's end with them.
Never, ever, ever use this company.

SCAM!

SCAM!! You can NEVER close your account. they say its closed, even after you move all of your stuff off their servers, and they just keep on billing you...forever. IF you call and say anything about "cancelling my account" you get put on hold for the entire day.
Good Luck with these crooks!

Do Not Use This Company

Their Customer Service is non-existent. I have been having multiple email issues for over two months, which is the kiss of death for a small business particularly in a Pandemic. They caused the issue when I moved from a web hosting to email-only hosting plan, but have yet to figure it out. (ONE of the issues is that I now get 1/3 the email volume I got before move, many key emails do not get delivered but the senders don't get bounce-back messages, these senders don't show up in my Spam filter). They are ignoring my attempts to contact them and I doubt that they are doing anything to troubleshoot/resolve. Avoid, Avoid, AVOID.

They are all out of f's to give and have been for a long time..

i have been a customer of theirs for 20 years or so. After the initial domain 10 year registration expired it went annual. The tools provided for do it yourself service never list my domain, hosted by them from day 1. Every year they fail to renew my domain, enable self service features or allow multiyear renewal and ignore all requests beyond a 1 year renewal. My domain always goes down and all my mail goes poof every year regardless of when I start the renewal process. The 24/7 support apparently can do nothing with domains during the weekend. Usually it is down several days before they get their act together. It is down right now. I can't even get my domain unlocked to move it to a competant company, probably cheaper one too.

I'VE USED OVER 20 HOSTINGS AND IT'S THE WORST

I'm a very experienced Internet guy and I have used around 20 different web hosting companies in the last 15 years.

Today, I host around 250 websites all around the world and I use different web hosting depending my needs.

MyHosting.com has been the WORST (and by far), hosting company that I've dealt with! I strongly not recommend using Myhosting.com. The customer support is inexistent and close tickets when they don't want to answer.

Also, they have literally stolen my money. In fact, even if I've stopped doing business with them 2 years ago, they have charged me another full 2 years at $500 WITHOUT any communication prior to renewal! The only way I was been able to know they charged me is by checking my bank statement but seems it was too late! I asked for a refund and they aggressively refuse to give me refund even if they have clearly see that I was not using their servers since last 2 years.

STAY AWAY FROM MYHOSTING.COM OR THIS WILL HAPPENS TO YOU SOMEDAY!

Review from a customer for 6 years

I've been a myhosting.com customer for almost 6 years. I rent a managed Centos VPS that hosts dozens of sites and applications. In stark contrast to all of the negative comments and reviews, I have had no bad experiences with the company, save for when they upgraded their hardware infrastructure about a year ago; things got a bit chaotic when they migrated all of their accounts, then things quickly stabilized. My experience has been that their chat support agents are expedient, available, and have always been helpful in solving issues. The server is fast, network speeds are very good, with negligible downtime. I am no longer using their service now, only because the VPS was CentOS 6.x and they don't offer an upgrade path to version 7.x - hence minus one star. I've since moved to Accuwebhosting, which is working out well.

As bad as everyone agrees

Everyone agrees: a very bad company! But they don't care, because they make their money by swindling you with well hidden and dishonest general terms stuff, even if you're a good customer after many years. NEVER give them a credit card number.
Tout le monde est d'accord: une très mauvaise compagnie! Mais ils s'en moquent, car ils gagnent leur argent en vous escroquant par des trucs de conditions générales bien cachées et malhonnêtes, même avec un bon client après de nombreuses années. Ne leur donnez JAMAIS un numéro de carte de crédit.
Alle sind sich einig: eine sehr schlechte Firma! Aber ihnen ist es egal, weil sie ihr Geld verdienen, indem sie Sie mit gut versteckten und unfairen allgemeinen Bedingungen betrügen, selbst im Fall eines guten Kundens nach vielen Jahren. Geben Sie denen NIEMALS eine Kreditkartennummer.
Todos están de acuerdo: muy mala compañía! Pero no les importa, porque ganan su dinero estafando con términos generales bien escondidos y deshonestos, incluso con un buen cliente después de muchos años. NUNCA les dé un número de tarjeta de crédito.
Tutti sono d'accordo: una pessima ditta! Ma a loro non importa, perché fanno i loro soldi truffandoti con trucchi di condizioni generali ben nascosti e disonesti, anche con un buon cliente dopo anni di pagamenti. MAI dare loro un numero di carta di credito.

The WORST hosting company ever, least reliable, horrible to do business with

I've been with myhosting.com for 10 years, I've seen the company sold and re-sold, I've seen its ups & downs, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt, but since their recent purchase/transition this year, it's been a total mess. Since Jan 2019, it's been one issue to another. As a software developer, I can understand issues of such, but not to the extent of their horrible service. Everything sucks! Lots of server down time, days without emails working, terrible customer service (if any at all), unprofessional tech support. Just a mess. I have 102 sites with this guys on 3 different VPS accounts, with their so called optimum service (pay about $1250/yr for each of these VPS), yet, I can't tell you how frustrating it's been working with them lately.

I will NOT recommend myhosting.com to anyone who wants a stable platform. A shared hosting elsewhere is even better. And worst of all, they won't even refund you your money or cancel your account - they'll keep charging you, until you call your bank or credit card issuer to kill the card. This hosting company used to be good, but now with new ownership, it's a platform to avoid. I'm out!

Worst hosting ever

Worst hosting ever, I have order VPS from their system and they couldn't install and when I called them, they told me that they do not have that package anymore. When confirmed and asked to install the one they have, they couldn't install for 10 hours and their system is down. Answering phone takes 2 hours and they cannot confirm anything regarding installation or refund. Good job guys, keep going!!!

Used to be so good, now rubbish.

Used to be so good. Now my website is unreachable and the virus/trojan ad for Jordans shoes they allowed into my html has completely ruined my business.

Do not use. They will allow rubbish to infect your site.

The worst VPS hosting

The worst VPS hosting. Really crazy settings that made the SQL on regular WordPress sites repeatedly crash without any notification. I asked a friend who is very knowledgeable out web hosting to fix things.
He told me to get rid of Myhost and I am much better off now.

However, when I cancelled the hosting, even though the system said I would get a refund for the unused hosting, Myhost later refused.

They are the worst in the business.

I wish there was a ZERO rating

I wish there was a ZERO rating. Customer service/Billing department is awful. I have been waiting on a refund since Nov 13th. Filed a claim with BBB.
Nov 13, 201 I contacted myhosting.com regarding the cancelation of website hosting services. relieved that they had failed to cancel services that I had previously requested in writing to cancel. It took them 2 weeks to confirm that yes they did fail I cancel and I was due a refund. On Dec 13th I received an email from "Martina T" a supervisor in customer support in forming me that I was due a refund of $229.28. I emailed and called them on 12/20, 12/22 to inform them that the refund hadn't posted to my credit card. 12/22 "Ken C" in customer support responded that "billing" would again look into the issue. I responded to the 12/22 email requesting again to speak with the "billing" department and was told they do not handle calls. 12/24 "Dani A" from billing emailed me saying the refund was resubmitted and would appear on my credit card in 3-4 business days. 12/28 I called myhosting.com and email them to again inform them that no refund had posted to my credit card. Again I was told billing had issued a refund in an email from "Vanessa K" technical support. I have no idea why I it is taking this long for a refund. I would just like my refund of $229.28.

piece of sh1t hosting

piece of sh1t hosting hosting server....goes down 1-2 times per month lasting anywhere from 4- 10 hours. they even shut down their support site so they can avoid complaints. something like "yes we are updating our server blah blah blah" ... such a BS ..
AVOID AVOID AOVID... they are the worse hosting server.

They used to be good

They used to be good. For any problems, even minor questions, they push you towards paid support. When I cancelled my quarterly VPS subscription they deleted it immediately without warning.

Avoid

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. I notice they have only a one star rating on other reviews - totally justified. It's fine while it works but when something goes wrong they don't want to know. We have been with them for more than 20 years and they just don't care. They managed to lose our domain name and it couldn't be found for nearly a week. A week's worth of lost emails that I depend on for work. When we asked for a refund of the fees we had paid for a service they had not delivered - they declared it was not their fault but someone else's. I tried to escalate the problem but after much research it was proving impossible to contact anyone. In the end, we did the decent thing and left them. We are now with another hosting company. Also the new hosting company is cheaper. Goodbye. No regrets!
