Its fine enough to keep track of shows I guess but I watch almost everything dubbed and even if i don't i still remember the english name of the show.
I get anime is japanese of origin but if i could just hit a tab to set it to english encluding seeing the english voiceactors that would be nice.

I’ve tried out a bunch of anime databases, and MyAnimeList is hands‑down my least favorite. Sure, it has a huge catalog, but the community can get pretty weird and the site’s organization and admin work really need an upgrade. It’s not a terrible site—it does the job—but there are plenty of other options now that are more user‑friendly, better moderated, and just feel nicer overall.

Weird users, abusive "moderators", spam reporters, no freedom of speech. If you disagree with the loser consensus you will mass reported and your review or comment will be deleted. Or, if one moderator disagrees with what you say, your post will be removed and you can be banned. Literally 1984

MAL isn't bad. People berate it because they don't like reviews being said, I understand this but the reviews are not bad now. Review moderators fix these issues in a couple of days. Now, with how some of you view moderation... in my experience moderation is friendly, the rules that are set in place is for everyone to have a good time. This is a anime/manga website and forum, things that don't involve those will probably be locked, but they do have casual discussion where you can talk to other members. Some of you people don't see how hard the moderators and administrators work just so that they can create a better environment where everyone doesn't have to worry about demeaning comments. I understand that you all may not have the same views as me but trolling can be annoying to forum users. The development team is probably very busy with work or school so they may not have time to add features to the website that you like. MAL is all about anime/manga community, if you disagree with a mod's decision then bring that up with them! Don't post online about how much you dislike how moderators act, instead, if you have proof that they are being disrespectful or breaking rules then you have every right to PM a admin about their behavior.

Garbage western website run and monopolized by FMA lovers. Geez, their top anime rankings stays the same for eternity until they tried hitting on Frieren.

Ordered 2 costumes that totaled $100. All orders that totaled $80 or more qualified for FREE SHIPPING AND RETURNS! The masks were produced for adult sized heads rendering them useless for children. The size was almost 3 inches short on one costume despite both sizes allegedly being medium.

The company fought me tooth and nail for a refund and they refused to honor the free return shipping. I had to spend $60 to send the package back to China, yes that was the cheapest option. My refund was only worth $40 by the time you subtract the false promise of free return shipping. Not to mention, countless time spent dealing with PayPal to send emails and attach many photos.

Please please please, do not buy anything from this company. They realize they can send you junk and if you try to return it, they will fight long and hard to keep the funds as they know most people will not spend so much, $60 usd to ship the item back if it only costs $100 usd.

I know you were taught to not listen to strangers on the internet, but I am trying to save you some headache and your valuable time. Buy your items from somewhere else. Perhaps Rubies as they have excellent customer service and are based in the USA.

It's shameful that a site that boasts having millions of users has a terrible moderation, let me explain, there are hundreds of bot accounts created every day that spam and send scam links, something that a decent site SHOULD be able to avoid but instead, the scam threads are kept there for hours before any moderator deletes it. There is also no good spam filter, for example, there's a user that has been attacking the site MANUALLY FOR MORE THAN ONE YEAR sending racist and homophobic messages and reviews, in some cases even sending death threats. Some users report being harrassed by moderators outside the site. Also, the site's community is well... not great in general, while there's good people where you can have a good conversation, most people there are unable to socialize and it shows.

Also it seems like the people that manage the site beyond moderators apparently don't exist, like there have been suggestions that have been asked for YEARS and that a decent review site have but this site doesn't, instead, they focus on adding circlejerking features like an emoji reaction system to reviews.

Incomplete website. Super inconsistent with what they add and don't add to the website. Scott Pilgrim is an anime produced by a Japanese animation studio, yet they forbid it from being added under the excuse that it's not made specifically for the Japanese audience. It has a massive fanbase in Japan. According to their logic, over a dozen shows on their website should be removed. Unfortunately, it's run by mods who only add shows if they personally like them. As stated in other reviews, this is also shown in the rating system. If you disagree with a mod, your review will be removed even if it's genuine.

Site used to have reliable reviews, until they introduced the god awful "emoji reaction system" - terrible reviews that have the most reactions will be the front-page review, that makes zero sense. 4-5 sentences in broken english is NOT a proper review that gives insight for the work, whether it's a negative or positive review.

Secondly, rankings for new anime (even manga for that matter) have been inflated, every new series goes on top 100, which is due to bots and from users who immediately give ratings despite only 2-3 episode being released. Half of top 100's are shows that were released in 2021-2023 and most of them are mediocre at most. It was NEVER this easy to get in the top 100 rank, what in the world happened to the system?

great platform to keep track of watched animes & mangas but the website design is a little bit old and hard to understand

The perfect app, can keep track of what you saw and what you missed, rate anything, discuss on any topic, anime and even episode.

Also very good to discover new animes

Ran by lunatics obsessed with reviews that let anything else slide with an interface from 2005. I have no idea how much they are paying google to be the number 1 search for anything anime but holy hell stay away from making an account there. Shounen obsessed mod is the pettiest moderator I've had the displeasure of interacting with. A literal manchild that will throw a tantrum when others don't like his precious cartoon. Their support team looks the other way and would rather IP block you than see what their mods are doing. Website based around chinese cartoons so I expected nothing and was still disappointed. Bravo!

Honestly the website is stagnant. There are barely any new features added. It would be a great websites if it were the early 2000s but these people do not provide basic features like mass-deleting/clearing list. Also, the anime leaderboard is rigged since FMAB is constantly on top

Great website to keep track of all the anime you've watched

Is it really that bad? Well... The reviews are an absolute garbage mess and doesn't covered up with common sense. Also imagine calling you an idiot and trash just because you had a different opinion and taste/preference. So many unresonable reviews. Full of mindless people. Completely biased. Full of elitist-weab-stinky-boo. If you want a proper review, don't go to this site. Why such a cringefest and cancer are allowed... And therefore my review. Sorry for my English.
