60th Birthday celebration weekend

We took 8 family members for a family 60th Birthday celebration weekend to this rural but Luxury house in the countryside and we were not disappointed at all.

The accommodation had excellent facilities, all "top quality" items with an abundance of equipment which made it a real home from home. Every little thing was catered for, with a chilled bottle of champagne awaiting us in the fridge accompanied by strawberries and a birthday card....phenomenal hospitality indeed.

All bedrooms all had luxury linen, tv, plenty of wardrobe space and a couple of them had balconies too on which to sit and enjoy the rising sun...fantastic way to kick back and chill out.

If like us you are a family who eat together, then this is for you. The kitchen is outstanding, with a 5-hob gas cooker and the most amazingly well-stocked cupboards of crockery, glassware, utensils and cooking equipment...you could easily live in this house (on holiday for an extended period) in great comfort.

The level of cleanliness was amazing, it was/is a spotless property, and you can tell the owner is extremely houseproud indeed. The owner who lives nearby also understands your privacy, so was available around the clock without being intrusive; very friendly and helpful indeed.

The enclosed garden was perfect to let the dogs out safely. The setting was absolutely breathtaking, with views across the Wye valley for miles and miles. With 2 dogs we were spoilt for choice for walks through well-kept forested land.

A short drive took us to Alcester and a little further into Stratford-Upon-Avon, but quite honestly, we were happy to stay in the house to enjoy the splendour of the property. With a huge Log Burner, this would be really cosy in the colder months; but with stone floors it was pretty cool even with the sun glazing down. With 2 sitting rooms, both with large TVs there is plenty of space for family members to break out to enjoy different activities or to watch different TV programmes at the same time.

Overall, this is an outstanding property in which to spend a short break or a much longer holiday; you will not be disappointed.
