Movavi is very user-friendly for beginners — a big step up from Movie Maker and often more intuitive than Canva. The editing tools are powerful and the learning curve is gentle. Customer support has been helpful and responsive. My main gripe is the occasional use of Chrome to display pages and some intrusive behaviour after submitting feedback, which felt off.

Completely non-functional. I bought the pro features and although the basic app itself is alright, if you want to export over 1 minute of content you have to pay copious amounts of money, which is what I did. The program was still not working. The customer support just kept telling me to restart the application. Terrible loss of money.

Overall movavi isn't a terrible editing software. There are some finicky things to figure out, but once you get past them it's generally simple and easy to create. The only problem (for me at least) arises when you are finally done and go to export. With the free version, you can only export 1 minute long videos with a watermark. This is only made clear after you click export, not while downloading the app or editing. No big deal, either pay for the service or do a free trial and move on. Unless you have good money to spend, neither of those options are viable at all. Firstly, if you were willing to spend on money on an okay editing software, then fine, let's go see the pricing. Cheapest option is 20 dollars a month and removes time limit and watermark. Nice, ill get the free trial to test it out. Free trial either didn't work for me or it doesn't unlock really anything. If it's the latter, (which it probably is), then you are forced to spend 20 dollars at the minimum just to save your video. Now this is mostly high cortisol and cope from being broke and spending 4-5 hours editing just to find out i am forced to spend to save my video in one chunk and without a watermark. But either way I still think its a little trashy to not disclose how restrictive the exporting process is until someone clicks on export. (which most people wouldn't press until they are done). And then to follow that up with the so-called "free-trial", not really allow you to test out anything. So all in all a pretty good editing software, just if you have some birthday money to spend or 1 minute tiktok edits to make with watermarks.

Purchased software specifically to go from MP4 format to jpeg forward which it site states it can do. It does not have this ability. Poor response - it’s not the price of the software , it’s that they state it can perform a function that it cannot.

Unfortunately, have contacted them he support department several times and their response is that it cannot be done and no refund will be issued.

I see what’s happening here.

1. Currently, this possibility of getting individual photos from MP4 video does not exist in the Movavi Video Converter yet.

But your question is forwarded as a feature request to the corresponding department to see if it can be implemented in new versions of the program.

This is an excellent tool in my opinion. Easy to use and great features. I really like it.

I LOVE and appreciate the user friendliness of Movavi editor AND my screen recorder. I couldn't do life the same without them.

Over the 10 years that I've Movavi video editor, I've had a few problems, mostly related to limitations of my computer. The customer service team has been fantastic even 10 years after my purchase. Excellent customer service!

Scam tactics sign you up for free software then make it impossible to cancel they use a third party company that you have to give your personal info to cancel and then the third party company scams you and starts charging you aswell terrible had to report fraud and cancel my entire card

i went to google to download davinci resolve. Their link was the first one (sponsored) with title "Davinci Resolve", the whole page was based on davinci resolve guides and more. and a download button, so i downloaded and installed it, went on editing a video with a bit of haste for a project, spend over an hour making the video, tried to export and got a popup that i needed a license.
Be aware that this is my first time editing and i did my research that davinci resolve was free.
Now i wasted my time and money. Be aware of this scam!

I purchased a subscription but did not get the confirmation and activation information due to server problems with my email. Movavi Customer Service was prompt and complete with their response and invited me to be sure to recontact them if I had any questions in the future.

Decided to update my old Movavi Slideshow today so splashed out on a \video Suite 2026 for just over £50. Download and tried it out then discover that I can only convert to an MP4 with the purchase of a further subscription of £9 a month to do so without a watermark present. What a rip-off. No warning when I bought the original and hey, Movavi, know what? It's my work I'm showing so I don't want your watermark all over it. Waste of money. Be aware of this scam before buying. I shan't be back....To add to the original insult I received an invoice. Apart from offering another product that I didn't want at a discount it gave an email address for Customer Services. I wrote to it. The email was returned saying that this service no longer existed and directing me to the support team on their website. So out of date info which no-one has bothered correcting and even more time for me to waste letting them know I'm not satisfied. Those saying the customer service is great in these reviews must know something I have not discovered as yet!

I bought several Movavi programs 10 years ago. I recently bought new computer hardware and started installing and configuring my suite of programs. One of them wouldn't activate. I contacted support. It turned out the program was no longer supported, and thanks to Ekaterina's help, they sent me the latest version of a similar program for free! Thank you Movavi!

good , a free version with limited option would be better

Warning: A good program, but very poor practices. During the trial period, several charges were made to my credit card. Contacting me via email is useless, and you can kiss your money goodbye.

Everytime I have an issue and I contact movavi support or customer service I get quality assistance every time. There are plenty of video editing companies but the kind of quality service I receive from movavi keeps me with this company. I also appreciate the prompt service I receive. I hope this doesn't change because from day 1 movavi has delivered and based on my experience for the last few years I'm sure it won't change

The Slideshow Maker for MAC is very good. It is very easy to learn especially if you have any experience with iMovie and / or Final Cut. It is way LESS disk storage extensive than the MAC products. I have a couple of issue and support has been very responsive and provided solutions faster than expected. There are some things I would like to see added and I suppose they will over time.

To be fair and clear - This was originally a 5 Star Review,

I like their Movie Editing Software.

It's quick, it's clean and I've never once had an issue with it.

So - Why the drop?

Well.

Originally I commented the only complaint I had was that it was hard to buy a lifetime licence from them to avoid their subscription model.

However, I was prepared to look past that as I could buy one if I really wanted to - And, I was OK with that.

BUT.

When I open up my copy of Movavi 2026 yesterday, their latest version, and one which I purchased a lifetime licence for in December 2025 - I was told I was missing out on updates to the software because I didn't subscribe.

So. Not DLC - Not new content - Not anything trivial, actual updates to the software.

Which means - They are now prepared to sell broken versions of their software, knowingly - Unless you have a subscription.

So - "Thanks for buying the software, as it was - We found some errors or bugs which could make it better - Want to buy a fix for them?"

What kind of utterly ridiculous business expects that to work?

Suffice to say - I can no longer, in good consciousness - recommend this software.

Which - Is a shame - I've made many, many videos with them over the years and have always defended them in the past when they've had their detractors.

They even posted asking for Feedback about this on Reddit - Which I replied to with my distaste for the subscription model, and I wasn't the only one.

So - Despite engaging with their community about best practice, finding out that the subscription model was pretty much universally disliked - They hid the updates to their current software behind the same model.

Absolutely disgusting, quite frankly.

The exact wording of the message is;

"You're missing the latest updates

Users with a lifetime licence like yours don't receive the latest features automatically, while subscription users just got an update. Upgrade to a subscription at 40% off.

All the latest features and effects
Regular improvements and smoother editing
40% off a 1-year subscription"

I don't really know how that message can be interpreted any other way to be honest.

This is the easiest to navigate video editor i've come across.
It's more powerful than I first thought as I'm regurarly finding new abilities, only because I think of new things to try based on what has worked already.
Very intuative and does exactly what I hoped it would.
I've created numeroud timelapse videos form varios video and picture samples with great success.

I've been using Movavi Screen Recorder for the past few years and haven't had any problems. If something went wrong, I contacted support and everything was always resolved. The service is truly professional and high-quality. Sometimes, another program messes things up, but like last time, all I had to do was uninstall the old program, load the new one, enter the key, and everything was perfect again.

Great user interface, easy to find everything I need. Powerful for editing my videos fos Social Media and trainings. What would I do without it?
