We're different to other sellers of protective wear. We're not interested in the run-of-the-mill, and we don't set out to do cheap. We sell only the best gear: the most technical, the most protective, the most stylish, and the most comfortable. We're never swayed by what the manufacturers tell us sells best; we're motivated only by finding what's new, what's different, and what works. Our typical customer has probably grown out of sports bikes, and today rides something sit-up: a naked bike, a cruiser, a sports-tourer, an adventure bike, a retro-styled machine, or perhaps even a genuine classic. He is older than the average biker. He likes to make a statement, both in what he rides, and in what he wears. We are also, we’d like to think, a notch or two above your average dealer when it comes to ladies’ wear. And that may have something to do with the fact that we are owned and run by a woman: Sara Linney. We’ve put together a terrific collection for female riders and pillions. Take a look at the site, or come and visit our amazing shop in Guildford. You won’t be disappointed.

I bought a klim Marakesh jacket, zephyr wind shirt and Held waterproofs primarily for European touring. Very pleased with all items and the fitting advice - motolegends will be my ‘go to’ store of choice in future

Excellent service from Motolegends

Excellent service from Motolegends, just bought jeans and gloves in their sale and were delivered very quickly to me in N. Ireland which is great considering it can take Amazon over 5 days to do next day delivery sometimes. Many thanks

My go to store for Motorcycle apparel

My go to store for Motorcycle apparel. Great unbiased advice backed up by fantastic service and what seems like an unlimited range, if you can’t find it at Motolegends it isn’t worth buying. Plus the free delivery and returns on protective gear is first class and I’ve never had an issue returning an item. The process is seamless and the customer service team knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful.

Excellent product

First time using Motolegends after being recommended by a friend. I ordered the Held M Hydrogear rain jacket to replace the Scott version. Motolegends website was very accurate with the description and sizing and I think this version of the jacket is definitely an upgrade.
Well done Motolegends, a very happy first time customer.

Easy online purchase and with the knowledge that there is a convenient returns service, I could order two sizes of the same product, choose the best fit and return the other one.
The item in question was exactly as described and was exactly what I was looking for, at a competitive price.
Very happy with the results

Superb!

I’ve bought a couple of items from Motolegends over the last few weeks. Firstly, It was Klim stuff and no one else seemed to have it stock for my size. Their service is second to none from start to finish. Definetly my go to place for any future purchases. I would highly recommend these guys.

Exceptional Motolegends service as always. Ordered some Belstaff riding jeans with the added bonus of an extra 15% off on top of the sale price. Once you have dipped a toe in the Motolegends customer service, you won’t go anywhere else. Highly recommended!

Motolegends: A UK Historic Landmark!

For the third time in four years, I travelled from Madrid, Spain, where I live, to the UK to visit Motolegends. The first two times I went by plane. This time I rode my motorbike there. It took me three days to get there and three days to come back.

When I cleared customs at the Eurotunnel, a very professional UK officer asked me the purpose of my visit. I answered that I was going to Motolegends. He said: “Oh, in Guildford. You will enjoy it.” Then I entered the train that goes under the Channel and met another biker, who basically asked me the same question. I gave him the same answer, and he replied: “They’ve got all the sizes!” He obviously knew Motolegends, and he immediately mentioned one of their special strengths: the fact that you can be almost 100% sure they will have your size available in almost any item of gear they sell. Which, in the world of motorcycle clothing, is not a small thing. It is almost a miracle.

I had planned my visit in advance, as I usually do, because I cannot exactly “pop back to the shop next week”. I contacted the customer service “artist” Lorena, a star among stars, and sent her a list of the garments I wanted to try and possibly buy. She made sure to put aside different sizes of jeans and shoes and shirts, since I am sometimes between sizes.

When I finally arrived, I once again enjoyed the “Motolegends experience”. It is a special shop: not enormous in itself, but attached to a huge warehouse, which allows them to have such a wide range of gear, in so many sizes. They promote safety and comfort on the bike through some of the coolest and most functional gear available, both for men and for women, and it is based on a 1-1 service. If you buy, good. If you do not buy, that is perfectly fine too. Incredible.

In fact, I was even “told off” by Chris, the owner of this remarkable endeavour together with his wife Sara, because I had bought, and was still buying, "too much". I had to “justify myself” by explaining that I ride a BMW R1300RT, which I use for travelling, around 25,000 km per year, and a Ducati Panigale V2 which I use every day for all kinds of riding and everyday errands, covering around 12,000 km per year. I ride in temperatures from -10 degrees to 30 degrees, in rain, wind, snow and heat, so I have many different use cases, and I “need” many different solutions: from (compulsive) layering to heated garments, airbag systems, and so on.

I wanted a 32-inch length for my PMJ Deux jeans, but Chris told me I needed a 34, because when you sit on the motorbike (they have one in the shop, and you are expected to sit on it with the garment you are trying), the jeans rise up on the legs. They check the fit on the legs, on the arms, and especially the position of the protections. The protections have to be exactly where they are supposed to be. Otherwise, if things go wrong, they will not protect you where you need them. We compromised on 33 inches, which PMJ does not offer. But Motolegends has fast, skilled tailors. The next afternoon, the jeans were ready, shortened by one inch, with the protections slightly moved into the correct position.

With the Rokker riding shirt, probably one of the coolest pieces of gear I have ever bought, Chris was not happy with the protectors. Neither was I. The shirt is certified AA under EN 17092, which is good, of course. But if things go wrong on the road, you are not going to slide for hundreds of metres like on a MotoGP circuit. You are much more likely to hit something, and when that happens, you want real protection. So, with a combination of experience, craftsmanship and a little magic, he fitted D3O Diablo Level 2 protectors in the elbows and shoulders, and a Rheon Level 2 back protector in the back. The shirt was still, and still is, extremely comfortable. I even wear it when I go out by car, which is probably not what Rokker had in mind, but there we are.

Then I bought the Klim Zephyr, base layers, boots, another splendid pair of Rokker jeans, and many other things. Basically, I did not want to leave the shop. It is such a wonderful experience: so much knowledge, so much expertise, such good taste in selecting gear, and a level of service beyond any possible expectation.

I asked Chris for a picture with him, like apprentice and Master. I was ready to take a selfie with my iPhone, but he said: “Wait, let me get my guy.” Mr Graham came, with a phone in his hand, and took the pictures and a video. Now, Mr Graham appears to be an expert photographer, because in the picture he made me look younger, slimmer and even… smarter. I could have taken the pictures myself, but even there they wanted me to have the best possible experience. Even with the pictures.

How marvellous life would be if, in every kind of business, food, fashion, electronics, restaurants, hotels, even hospitals, we could enjoy the "Motolegends Experience”!

Excellent advice and attention to…

Excellent advice and attention to assist me on my purchases. Going into the warehouse to get different sizes and styles all helped by a cup of tea and a bike shaped biscuit. This is a high end shop where you need to know what you want as you cannot browse. At busy times you may have to wait to enter as they only let in enough people to assist by the staff they have, but well worth a visit for your motorcycle apparel.

Great Shoei helmet fitting in a friendly and expert store

I had a great fitting for a new helmet organised by Chris and led by Joe. I left with a perfectly fitting new Shoei helmet including integrated sound system. It looks and feels perfect. Along the way I got a very clear set of options explained to me. Plus I had a chance to browse their excellent stock of clothing and footwear - I will be back for these. Great service and great products. A place you can trust!

Brilliant service with good humour and great products!

I read the ten reasons why not to visit Motolegends on their website and came fully aware of their unique way of operating. We did not have to wait to be let in and Chris was very good at asking all the right questions and gently nudged us in the right direction to get appropriate kit for our needs and within the budget. It took a few hours (which he mentioned at the start) but every minute was useful and no time was wasted. My friend Matthew even took advantage of the head measuring service and bought a new crash helmet. All in all a thoroughly brilliant service which I would recommend and I shall be returning shortly as my wife is rather jealous of my road resistant jeans!

Went to get a pair of Richa Joggers

Went to get a pair of Richa Joggers, but it quickly became apparent that it wouldn't be possible to get them on and off without taking off my boots. Rob suggested the Richa Strippers as an alternative, so I bought them. I'm very pleased with them: the full-length zips running down the entire side of each leg make them a cinch to get on and off, and they seem very well made. Good product and excellent service, as always!

The friendly and experienced staff…

The friendly and experienced staff managed to fit me in despite the busy shop and no appointment. The service was great. I was getting a new helmet and thought it would be a 2XL but the staff advised XL was the correct size after adjusting the pads. By the time I arrived home after an hour’s ride they were absolutely right – the size was perfect. Arai ADV helmet 👍
