monsterbeds closure

Hi just wanted to say I ordered bed from monster just before they closed. Was annoyed bed did not come but as I have seen this company had to close because of closure of city link closure I feel bad. A lot of good hard working people have lost their jobs now. Anyone who has ordered if you go to see your bank they will recover your money. Was sad to hear that people were attacking not just staff but children's schools. I am disabled and really needed the bed and after waiting a long time for disability decision got the money. It would not have made me want to hurt the people who have now lost their firm because of the way things are today. I will get my bed eventually and I hope the people now out of work find a job.

Terrible

Ordered a bed for my son as his bed is broken. Took payment straight away on 5/3/2014. No emails, no phone calls just a company statement online saying they have attempted to credit accounts with the money they owe.
Well they haven't tried very hard as 15 days after ordering I still do not have a refund.
Now I will have to go through my bank but who knows how long this will take. No bed, no refund, no apology.

BEWARE !!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS

ordered bed on 8th march 2015. supposed to be delivered 8 to 10 days. revisited site to find out they have ceased trading. not received any correspondence from them whatsoever. complained to bank and they are dealing with getting my money back.

Extremely poor service!!

I placed an order on 8th March 2015. I have received no confirmation of order from Monsterbeds and as other customers, I have telephoned and emailed a number of times with no response. I have checked with my bank and the money was debited immediately after order was placed on 8th March 2015. I tried to visit there website and this morning the website is showing the following message:

MAINTENANCE WORK IN PROGRESS
Please try again later

I am now seeking legal advice and would advise that no-one else orders with this company.

Item not delivered and no contact made

I ordered a bed 11 days ago, the payment was taken straight away. I left it 3-7 working days as the website says and have had no further details. It has now been 9 working days.. One email and 2 phone calls with no reply after leaving my name number and problem.

Theft

I ordered from Monsterbeds.co.uk on the 4/03/15. I have been trying to contact them since with no joy. I have emailed on several occasions.. again no joy. I then find out they have taken payment twice out of my account! Please all check your accounts! if I do not get a response by tomorrow I am taking legal action ! luckily they only took it twice god knows how many times they would of tried if I had the funds available!

WARNING-DONT BUY FROM MONSTERBEDS-THEY ARE CROOKS

After ordering nearly a week ago I got an email saying the order was processed and paid but then minutes later, like other customers, I received an email saying there was a problem with the payment. However the payment has been taken.

I have emailed Monsterbeds on several occassions with no reply and telpehoned over four times leaving a voicemail each time. Still no reply. Next step drive to their premises and find out what is going on....

Seem like crooks to me taking peoples hard earned money and not providing the goods.

HORRENDOUS

HORRENDOUS!!!!!!!
DO NOT SHOP FROM HERE.
THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL CONFIRMING MY PURCHASE THEN ONE MINUTE LATER I HAD ANOTHER EMAIL SAYING THAT THE PAYMENT HAD BEEN REJECTED, YET THEY HAD TAKEN THE MONEY FROM MY BANK (SOUNDS DODGY, I KNOW IT IS)
NOW I CANT GET HOLD OF THEM I HAVE EMAILED I SPENT ALL DAY YESTERDAY RINGING THEM BUT NOTHING. I AM SO ANNOYED WORST COMPANY EVER!!!

Missing mattress

VERY VERY unhappy with the service that has been provided, ordered a bed and mattress two weeks ago, the bed came the end of last week but I STILL have no mattress! Been trying to get in contact with the company for 5 working days now and NOONE has answered the phone at all, not impressed at all. £193 pretty much wasted now as I still can't put the bed up without a mattress.

Shocking Service

My initial order was delivered within 4 days.
I was not contacted by either the company or delivery company to arrange an order date or time. A card for attempted delivery was left in my mailbox. Upon contacting the delivery company I spoke with an extremely rude an unhelpful person who refused to prearrange a delivery date. This resulted in the goods being left outside my front door.
Upon unpacking the items I found that they were damaged rendering them unfit for purpose.
Initially the Monster customer service were helpful assuring me that they would arrange delivery of replacement items. I have however not received any contact from them for over 2 weeks. Nobody picks up the telephone and despite me having left several messages and sent a number of emails nobody has responded. I have been left with unusable goods, no bed and a couple of hundred pounds out of pocket.
This is completely unacceptable service and I would not recommend using this company !

No bed, no response to emails, no answer on phone

I placed the order on 28/02/15, I get an email on the 4th of March (first email from them) telling me bed has been dispatched and the courier company would be in touch, I get a text message on 6/3/15 telling the bed will be delivered the next day between 12-2pm and to text or call back should there be an issue, no delivery and no response to either text or call or emails.

Quality product and great service

I think it only fair to come on and review this company. I am one of, I suspect, many happy customers. I had a fantastic experience.

I am very happy with the bed I bought. I am exceptionally happy with how good it looks in my bedroom.

I was thoroughly impressed by the delivery service. It was painless. I understand that beds are big items and, therefore, are not easy things to deliver.

I've ordered from other bed companies before and had no end of problems with damaged boxes. The independent courier who brought my bed for Monsterbeds were very careful and all items were perfect.

Don't be put off by a handful of people with bad experiences. Give their staff a call and talk to them. They're real people just trying to provide as good a service as possible. That's what I did and I don't regret anything.

Recommended by me.

Faulty Bed Order

I ordered a bed about a month ago, was phoned to say the bed would come on the Friday(anytime between 8am-7pm). It didn't, it came on the Monday which wasted a massive amount of time but at least it came.

When I removed all the packaging I noticed one of the legs footends has a large crack running from the top all the way down the leg. I phoned the same day it arrived, they said they would pass it on the relevant person, phoned again two days later and was told I would be phoned back that afternoon, I wasn't. So I sent an email with pictures and a description and asked for a contact to get this sorted as clearly the phone staff are making zero headway. Still haven't heard anything and that was 3 weeks ago.

My advice is spend £20 more at another shop, skimming the reviews it seems a large quantity of products either turn up late, not at all or are damage and for £20 it isn't worth the hassle.

EDIT: Been asked for proof of purchase which I've provided to trustpilot, many other reviewers probably don't (which means they're removed) but imagine the company score if they did.

Great All Round

No problems for me

Bed and mattress came yesterday and it's all set ready to go for tonight. I have never left a review before but felt it necessary to after reading some of the unkind remarks made by other reviewers about monster beds on this trust pilot site. Some people are so good at moaning its untrue yet I would imagine the hundreds of happy customers that monster beds have on a weekly basis never even bother putting a review on here so I thought I would for a change!! Thanks again for the fast efficient service and yes I would definitely recommend monster beds to anybody in the market for a new bed or mattress.

Happy with everything from start to finish

I had no problem placing my order, once I'd decided on which bed I wanted. I always ensure I read delivery terms on any website I buy from, so was aware of the delivery timescales.

My delivery was booked in within a couple of days from ordering and I received an email to notify me of the day it was due. Delivery turned up on the day specified and all boxes were in tact and in good condition.

Once my husband had built the bed up, it looked perfect in its new home.

Happy with all aspects of the order. Recommend.

Unbeatable price and service

I was looking for a reasonably priced bed for the spare room when I came across monsterbeds.co.uk. They had exactly the sort of bed I was looking for at a great price, so I ordered one. Service was excellent and delivery took only a few days. The bed is well made and the assembly instructions are clear and simple. An added bonus was the ability to pay with Paypal. In all an excellent company delivering high quality products and service which I would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you

Great product and good aftersales experience

Purchased a bed and mattress off this company and have to say I am very happy with both products and the overall experience. I went for the double Ottoman deal they have and couldn't believe the price at only £159 and matched it up with a double pocket mattress again the price superb at only £179. I wanted to make sure the items were available and also wanted to check delivery times so I called the customer service line and was greeted by a very friendly girl who gave great advice in helping me choose my bed and also put the order through while I was on the phone and gave me a little discount to which was a pleasant surprise. If you're looking for a great deal I have no hesitation in recommending this company. Thank U Monster beds
