MJ Fitness is a SCAM

I would give zero stars if I could… what a total waste of money! You basically pay £400 for an app with the same limited workouts on repeat, something you could get online for free. It’s a total scam and a grift. Please don’t part with your money, it isn’t worth a penny.

I don't recommend

I don't recommend. I signed up for the programme and within 2 weeks the service received was terrible, I was meant to get my blood results back within 2 days but its been 2 weeks and nothing had been received and there is also no accountability from Matt, you are just given all the information and expected to get on with it.
Due to unforseen circumstances, financial difficulties and a recent mental health diagnoses I was unable to continue so I explained this to Matt who advised the programme was non refundable and I had no choice, I was then threatened with debt collectors despite receiving poor service and accountability

Do your research before signing up!

Do your research before signing up!

Nothing about his course is him creating it. He has bought a licence with American recipes and it's not him doing the fitness videos.
Have a good look at his Instagram..the same pictures he shares over and over again with reviews that are nowhere to be seen bar bad reviews here.
There's far better programs out there ladies, give this one a massive miss because you will be disappointed.

The most horrendous experience I've ever had with a PT

The most horrendous experience i've ever had with a PT in my life. I paid £400 to sign up to 12 weeks with this trainer, I had an initial call with a trainer on 17th May to see if I wanted to sign up and told the trainer I wanted to start on the 5th June and she advised all workouts and meal plans would be ready for then, taking into account all the food I don't like. I booked an onboarding call then on 4th June with a trainer and was again advised everything would be on the app for me to use and get started on 5th June. I asked twice for my workouts to be uploaded and they weren't until the 7th June and I asked four times for my meal plans to be uploaded and was told once by Matt they'd be up the next day, and when I questioned this again I was told he couldn't work out my calories and macros until i'd done a breakfast test (something I couldn't do anyway as I didn't like any of the food, which I'd already made him aware of). The meal plans were uploaded a week later, full of food I didn't like and clearly just automated. I told Matt I wanted to cancel as I was unhappy with the service, not once did he apologise, he mocked me and took a condescending tone and when I told him i would take it further he told me to crack on and said 2 days wasn't exactly long to wait for something. He sent me angel faces when I said I would be taking this further, so clearly doesn't care less about his business or reputation. After seeking advice he tried telling me he would be deducting £195 from me and refunding the rest (something which hasn't even happened) which meant i suddenly had to pay £50 for a call that was advertised as free when I initially enquired about signing up, and £50 for a 4 minute call with him. When I told Matt this was completely unacceptable and I wasn't paying £195 for a week where I had none of the stuff I needed and what I did need was given to me late, he told me to take it or leave it. My onboarding call with Matt lasted 4 minutes and he couldn't have been bothered on the call. No refund has been given, so he has taken £400 from me for a 12 week plan that I didn't have the correct things for, and the access was taken from me anyway. Clearly judging by the review below it's not the first time he has done this, and is developing quite the reputation for it. How he can claim to empower women when he has taken my money and refused to refund it, is beyond me, especially when you have to disclose to him what medication you take and he has no issues heaping stress on you because of his behaviour. I would strongly advise anyone not to book with him, I can see why he is posting on social media daily for people to sign up with him, and I feel desperately sorry for anyone who has sent this person money. He clearly has no care whatsoever for his clients or business and his attitude is beyond foul. I have no doubt he wouldn't speak like this to clients if it was men he was training
He's been reported to trading standards.

Poor Service provided

Disappointed with the service provided. I spoke with Matt originally and expressed how i had previously gone with a PT who didn’t specialise in women’s health and that the plan provided wasn’t working for me. As a new mum and breastfeeding Matt stated that i wasn’t having enough calories on my previous plan and that if i signed up to a monthly plan he would provide a new regime that would be tailored to me and my needs. I expressed what my old pt plan was in terms of cals, steps and workouts a week - expecting a new plan to be made as originally was told this would happen. As soon as i paid i waited a week or so for the plan (which was fine) however everything that was sold to me originally was brushed under the carpet, the plan was exactly the same as my last pts. Therefore i paid £99 to be told the same thing that matt previously stated wasn’t right for my circumstances. I expressed to Matt that this plan ive paid for i felt was missold to me as although he give me access to the app with workouts, a onboarding call(which i had to rebook as the caller didn’t ring at the time that i had booked) and a non personalised meal plan on, the cals were the same (which he originally told me was not enough) and my plan was the same…i asked if i could have my money back or if not a partial refund and it was refused. i expressed originally to Matt i was cautious about online coaching and he reassured me - clearly just to get my money. I will never use this company again and could not advise people more to not use this online coach.

update: matt has blocked me on everything i cannot contact him and he’s removed the service which i’ve paid for with no refund. citizens advice are now involved
