Avoid Mind the Flat

Mind the Flat do not take responsibility for running their properties or have a professional level of empathy for their residents. So far, 3 of my 6 months stay at one of their properties has been without heating. When I requested help on this issue I was met with the unprofessional response "have you heard of the boy who cried wolf" and told of a photo of my radiator with a thermometer on it, which did not exist. We also spent periods in the property without running water in the bathroom and no hot water, although these issues were sorted with enough pushing. There was a pile of excess refuge in front of the property when I moved in which has not been touched 4 months into my stay. Customer service is poor, as we are met with push-back and gaslighting rather than apology and help whenever we reach out.

This company does NOT give a jot about…

This company does NOT give a jot about you or your wellbeing. This company is solely out to make as much cash from you as possible. I lived at one of their properties for just under 3 years. I was a model tenant. Kept the place clean and tidy, constantly turning off lights that were left on and generally keeping a watchful eye. I complained about several issues that any sane person would;
Gas and heating usage, kept my share to a minimum, they still wanted me to pay for misuse despite me emailing them several times about how others were abusing it.
Parties and 4am; said they would have a word with the tenant, didn't do much good.
Group sex; told me it was not for them to judge others lifestyle.
Friends staying for months on end; did zilch about that.
On top of this they served everyone a section 21 notice then within a week of everyone moving (AT GREAT EXPENSE) they hiked the rent way up and re-advertised our rooms, I would not rent a cardboard box from these cowboys.
I would avoid at all cost.
I was going to leave it but thinking back of the distress and financial loss I experienced I thought others should know.

They stole my deposit

They stole my deposit. I made an offer for a flat that should have had all bills included and they asked me a 1 week deposit to reserve the flat while they were preparing the contract. They then sent me a contract where water and electricity were covered only in part and refused to change it and seized my money.

Highly suggested

Mind the flat is a great and very professional agency. They guide you through the entire process of renting a room so that they make it very smooth. Amaan and his Team are always happy to help and prompt in replying. They can sort out very quickly any issues that might arise in the flat. I have been a MTF tenant for the past years and had great experience renting with them. It is now time for me to vacate to move to another city but I would like to thank them for the amazing service provided. Highly recommended

Worst agency in my life

Worst agency in my life. Give short agreement to every renewal increase the price. 5 months waiting to cut grass, more then one year complains about fridge, not repairs, not refreshing house while living for 3 years. After they lie about renovation house and give section 21 just for rised price for new people's. Liars and unprofessional not recommended!!!

Dear Mamara,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your frustration and apologise for any inconvenience you experienced during your tenancy. Regarding the renewal increases, it is important to note that the decision to raise the rent is at the discretion of the landlord, which tenants agree to upon renewal.

Additionally, adverse weather conditions can affect our ability to carry out tasks like grass cutting promptly. We strive to address complaints promptly and efficiently, but we regret if your concerns were not resolved to your satisfaction.

We appreciate your three-year tenancy with us, and we would have respected your decision should have have chosen to look for other housing opportunities, but you were clearly happy with our services if you decided to stay with us for 3 years.

The renovation you mentioned was indeed carried out after all tenants had vacated the property, and it was not our intention to mislead anyone.

We value your feedback and will use it to improve our services in the future.

Regards,
Mind the Flat team

Shockingly bad service to tenants

Shockingly bad service to tenants, the worse experience renting a property in my life.

RE.
Ultimately yes I could have moved out but with having to renew a contract every 6 months, timing and finance to rent another property was everything.
This company is everything wrong with what the rental market has become. Your job is to maintain a property for the landlord of which you didn't do, your job is to vet incoming tenants which you didn't do. All this along while putting the rooms price up and forcing people to move out.
I honestly hope this company goes into liquidation.

Great Customer service and excellent accommodation

My girlfriend has just moved to the UK on a working Visa, and had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Doriana. She was so kind and helped us to quickly find a beautiful apartment in Fulham. She didn’t waste my time as other agents did at other estate agencies. Everything went well and smoothly.we could not have asked for better and more efficient service. thanks
