Used to be a great product until they changed the entire design and functionality to something 'new' and inferior in so many ways. I'm actively looking to migrate to in the coming year. Stay clear. Not a place invest your thoughts and knowledge for long term usage

others can't view the mind map properly. So, I tried converting into Png, but membership is required to do that. Wasted my 5 hours on making that mind map.

Mindmeister happily takes your money for the whole year. By changing their subscription plans they take away funcionalities (such as attachements, use of colors, ...) but refuse to reimburse the money that you have paid for a certain functionality. Support and sales team do not answer. What a weird mindset on how to treat your customers. My advice to users: Cancel your subscription as soon as you can and change towards Miro or other vendors. At least, you can expect to be treated with respect on dignity.

They charge without warning and refuse to refund. Yeah yeah that is said when you subscribe but futur yearly charges should be warned before it happens, like almost every good company does. And when they do not, they refund without question.

Mindmeister sucks. Their app sucks. Most free apps are better.

After my message at Trustpilot my complaint that I could not stop my Mindmeister account, Mindmeister helped very soon. I hope I do not recieve any bills any more.

I had a really disappointing experience with Mind Meister and hope this review saves others from wasting their time and money. Here are the undisputed facts of my interaction with Mind Meister –

• My company has been a customer of Mind Meister since March 2021 and a spent $2,227 during that period
• On April 19, 2024 at 5:00pm I received an email saying they charged $419 for a subscription renewal for 4 users and 6 month term
• At 5:01pm I received another email offering savings if I subscribed for a year instead of 6 months
• At 6:08pm I shared that our team hasn’t used Mind Meister at all other than me and I requested a refund for the 3 other licenses and said I was happy to renew my single license for a year
• Their response “I'm sorry to say that I cannot issue a refund in this case. As outlined at the time of purchase, selecting a billing period when purchasing a license causes your plan to renew automatically by default”
• I said that I have been a loyal customer and thought they issued notifications BEFORE a subscription renews like most companies since it is the law in most states.
• Their response “I am sorry that you feel this way, but we notify our users about the automatic license renewal not only at the time of purchase but also in our terms & conditions and email invoices.”

You can decide if you want to work with a company that retains their loyal, multi-year customers by referencing ‘fine print’ in terms & conditions that no one can keep up with when they have over 30 different vendors and software providers. I know I prefer the many other alternatives that care about their customers.

The developers are greedy. I initially signed up for a plan where the attachments were unlimited. And within a few weeks of me getting the app, they now want me to pay an additional £30 just to attach more stuffs like images to my maps! If they had advertised that the plan I am signing up for wouldn't let me attach as many images to my map, I would not have purchased it at all. There are other mindmaps that let you do that. I think they are scammy.

They auto renew with no notification. They then ghost you on their billing customer support. AVOID. There are better products out there too.

Their policy is not about the customer, its about taking your money. Like most here, their product doesn't actually get used and people forget about it. Then they charge you for another year! You tell them you have not used it and will not use it, but they dont care about the customer. Do not use their software!

I used MindMeister for a week, forgot to cancel the auto-renewal, and was charged for a full year. Despite reaching out to their customer service and explaining my minimal use and oversight, they strictly adhered to their policy with no flexibility for a refund. This experience left me feeling undervalued as a customer. Therefore, I'm giving MindMeister a 1-star rating for their inflexible approach and lack of consideration for individual circumstances. Caution advised if you're considering their services.

This company charged me twice and won't refund my payments; they've been a few weeks now, and they keep saying that someone else will take care of my refund. If they refund $240 and cancel my account, that would make me happy.

Whenever you ask them for help:

they start with>> Thank you Thank you Thank you for contacting ussssss....

they always end with>> unfortunately...

The MindMeister app was presented to me in the Teams platform, and seemed to me to be a free add on. I tried it and liked the application, and developed a large map.

When i tried to make a new map in another project, I was informed that three maps was the limit for the basic and free plan. Fair enough, i thought. I will stick to my first and only map, and not make any others.

However, when i this week went to open my first map, i now find that it is behind a paywall. My work is held hostage for money.

After closing the account, the subscription fee was debited from my card (which went from $30 to $42). I complained and did not receive a refund, as the company indicates that they do not issue refunds and that I should have canceled the subscription. The answer came after almost 30 days. A small trap for those who don't want to renew, done in the worst possible way which is leading to deception.

Their absurd subscription model is designed to exploit clients. They talk about a monthly price per user but there's no monthly plan. There is an annual and a 6-month plan only.

14 days before renewal, they sent me an email saying the new monthly rate was USD 4.49. I ignored it because I had the 6-month plan. On renewal, I noted my bill had increased by over 50%.

I raised my concerns on their platform but it was like they don't have a customer service team handling complaints from personal users.

Furthermore, there was no option to remove my card from the payment options.

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO ANY OF THEIR PAID PLANS.

Mindmeister conduct is unethical.

Mindmesiter went ahead and automatically billed my credit card without any prior notice. I have sent 3 emails asking them to refund the yearly payment, I keep getting a form email back. They could have sent a courtesy email reminding me that an auto charge is forthcoming. Nope, this company is out for blood.

I paid for the personal plan but it still shows the free version when using the website.

I have reached out to them through their support system and I have emailed them, but no response

Do not purchase their plans on the website

Scammers auto-charged my credit card with no notification. No way to remove my credit card from their system, though I’ve deleted the account and they ‘promise’ they won’t charge me in 2024. Disputing with my credit card company.

The mindmaps have been really useful and most of the time they work really well - it's just a shame the app is so buggy - it often crashes while I am working and I might lose the bit I was just working on - sometimes you can recover this by restoring an older version - but sometimes it doesn't let you and you lose your content - if you are using these for exams or work I would be wary - for what they charge I don't think it's acceptable for the software to be so buggy
