Run from management and associates
Blame things on legal, but what does that have to do with neighborhood walkthroughs and fulfilling record requests on time and now: I'd urge other community hoa’s, and especially homeowners, to look closely before working with this management company.
Our community in East Lake Woodlands has had repeated problems with how meetings are noticed and run. Several meetings have had to be rescheduled because they weren't properly posted. We've also received emailed notices listing a different time than the posted sign, which leaves homeowners unsure when to show up.
Beyond scheduling, some members have not been admitted to meetings, and meetings that should have been recorded weren't. When homeowners raised these issues, the response was essentially "oh well," and votes were allowed to stand even though, in our view, the bylaws weren't followed.
A management company's job is to keep the process fair and by the book, even when a board would rather not. That hasn't been our experience. I hope they improve, but until then I'd suggest communities consider other options.
