Don't bother with Metalux

A few weeks ago I decided to make a small batch of USB business cards. I have seen a few from vendors in the past and I wanted to make something more functional for my business. I gave Metalux on Etsy a chance since I was purchasing some other things on Etsy at the time. This turned out to be an ordeal. Doing a simple check on the card status through December 18 I was informed that the item shipped the previous week even though USPS showed that a label was printed, but the item was not received. Following up again I was told wait 48-72 hours. Waiting 72 hours and USPS still never received the item I was informed that "Lots of customers get their packages without USPS showing that they received the item)" and that shipping was out of their hands, but they did send it the week of the 11th. Having sent several packages from USPS and received (including the month of December) it's "funny" not one of them ever ran into that issue. I guess that's just special for Metalux. The card USB is a cheap substandard USB. They will only ship you a 8gb drive that bulges out. There is a clear bulge on both ends that their photos do not show. They are also using a USB 1.0/1.1 which is "funny" considering a consumer buying those drives would be paying extra for a long decommissioned drive standard. Transferring files from an i9 32GB computer takes 30 minutes to move 2.4gb were as a standard Sandisk 2.0 drive takes 13 minutes. For the cost and headache, don't bother with this company. There are a lot of other ones out there that will give you an option to change the USB capacity, use 2.0 as a standard with an upgrade option and also still stay in the same price range.
