Excellent customer services, explained at length what was required. Nothing it too much to ask

Mersey Garages are in partnership with Servicing Stop, and based on my experience, I would strongly advise staying away from both.

They carried out an MOT and full service on my vehicle, charged extra for the special oil, and then reported that the car had an oil leak. That raises a serious question: why would you carry out (and charge for) an oil service if you knew the oil was leaking and the issue wasn’t fixed first? That’s not servicing — that’s a cash grab.

On top of that, I was given a £1,450 quote for repairs needed to pass the MOT. I took the car to a trusted and reputable garage based on reviews for a second opinion, and they quoted no more than £550 (VAT included) for the same work. That kind of price difference speaks for itself.

To make matters worse, someone from the garage left their own car at my property, blocking my neighbour’s sidewalk, which led to a completely avoidable dispute. It was thoughtless, disrespectful, and incredibly unprofessional.

Between inflated costs, poor judgment, and careless behaviour, Mersey Garages are not to be trusted. Avoid them.

OMG do not use these guys, they were trying to charge me over a grand to fix my car for an MOT. I took it to another garage for a second opinion and they just said a bulb needed replacing. How dodgy is that? And they wouldn't drop my car back home after picking it up. Robbing aholes!

£250 to fix so cheaper even with recovery truck
This is absolutely a genuine review and in getting away from mersey garages ive met some very decent people in the business
Totally hope no one else has the same experience with them. Shame on them

I cannot fault Mersey garages I’ve had my car in there a few times now over the past few years and never had and issues they even pick and drop the car off for you, the staff have always been nice, polite and friendly.

I have used Mersey Garages for a number of years now. They have excellent customer services, they come to collect and return my car and the workshop are very helpful. They know my car, are able to get any parts needed quickly and the work has been first class.

Been going to this garage for years with my current car and previous car to have MOT and service done. Always very polite and they picked up my car and dropped it back when finished. Every time I call they always ring me back when they say they will. No problems with them so far.

Avoid these thieving cowboys. What a waste of time!

Always been great with me, reliable, they remind me of my services and MOT which is great for me with ADHD. Andrew calls to ask if I want booking in then they pick my car up. Lovely team and great job every time. Been using them for a few years and been brilliant. I am going to take my dad to them as he’s been getting ripped off by a mechanic and I have recommended him to use these guys instead

Wouldn't recommend to anybody!
Ive been with them in the past and had work done and been to different garages for them to say work hasn't been carried out. They never got in touch to let me know about the MOT, their excuse was they couldn't get through but conveniently could get through to say the car needs paying for. The customer service is awful. Been spoke to by 2 different girls who both said different things, being charged for work to be carried out when there is no diagnosis and still expect money even though there's nothing online to state its only for 1 hour. Would not go again and highly advise against going as they are unreliable and untrustworthy

Been going for an mot and full service for 3 years the first time I went I paid them then 5 months later was in the car with my daughter car started shaking on the motorway the rac guy said have you had this serviced I said yes a full well he said an important part in the engine has worn away I had to pay him 200 pound to fix it also broke down again this year they said they fixed my exhaust turned out they just welded it to the top of my car instead of screwing it in the garage who I took it to told me I also have a leaking screenwash they haven't fixed in 2 years even though they told me they have they broke my water coolant cap so the guy at the garage said he can't remove it to fill it up because of the damage I believe they literally rush the job because of the vast amount of customers or just don't service it at all avoid at all costs I could have been seriously hurt with my daughter on the motorway because of these people luckily I could pull over safely enough.

I used these guys to service my car in October. They picked up the car, serviced and dropped off no fuss.

I am always astounded by the high level of customer service I receive from this garage. First class workshop technicians and world class customer service.

Do not use.

I was struggling to find a garage willing to do a tricky repair on my car. While the car was with the garage, MOT expired so I asked if they could do the MOT and a service once done.

Garage called me with extensive list of essential repairs as MOT failed, quoting me more than what the car was even worth - I was very close to scrapping it based on their claims. Had to pay a lot of money for the original job plus MOT and a service (which I thought would only be done after MOT was passed).

Then I looked closer at reviews and took it for a 2nd opinion, this garage identified only ONE essential repair and it cost over £1,500 less than what Mersey Garages quoted me. 100% avoid this garage - especially if you are a young girl, I wish I'd read reviews properly before I even went there.

This company picked up my car, did an interim service and mot then returned the car. A first class service all round. I will use this company again and again.

Looked after two family cars for 2 years and always great service much appreciated. Now moved away need to find another equally good garage now.

No contact back after promise of part and repair!!
