I've been trying to download a sample pack I got from Modern Producers who unfortunately use MediaFire to host the files. I have tried several times. It's a 2.2GB file and when it gets to the last second, it begins downloading it again. So far this has cost me over 15GB in data and I still do not have the file. This is absolutely shameful. I have complained to all who are associated with you.
When it takes 15-20 minutes to go through all the cookie settings, it reveals a company showing absolutely no respect for user's privacy.
you have to pay to have it go faster, your the worst
When I use MediaFire, my download time goes up instead of down, and when it will get to 2 seconds it goes back to 1 minute and 12 seconds. That makes this website UNUSABLE.
If I could give no stars I would. Received no warning that my files were scheduled for deletion until after they were deleted, sent an email telling me I had thirty days to ask for them to be restored and in the twenty days since then all I get when I attempt to contact customer service about it is that they are very busy and can’t help me yet. If you can’t even respond to a trouble ticket in 30 days, people can’t recover their files in 30 days. Why tell people that they can get their files back? Absolutely garbage customer service.
Terrible customer service. I had a premium account in 2021. Didn't use it and cancelled Premium in 2023. After I downgraded to the free account, MediaFire continued to upgrade me without permission to Premium on an expired credit card! I used their ticketing system to request a refund for unapproved charges. After 4 tickets with no response, I gave up. I called my CC company and they are taking care of it. Be warned: if you downgrade from Premium to Free, they will continue to charge your card.
I am using this service mostly from web and much less from Android. Today I downloaded some files that I had uploaded 9 years ago as a backup.
I never had a problem with this cloud storage service, and I will still using it. Thank you for all those years you kept my files.
Somehow MediaFire got our credit card and have been charged $100's of dollars for a service we never asked for or applied for. This is such a scam!
HELLO MEDIA FIRE YOUR WEB IS VERY GOOD BUT I WANT TO THE PASSWORD OF THE SPIKE VOLLEY CROSS AND IT IS PROTECTED WITH A PASSWORD SO PLEASE HELP ME
They are not just “mediafire.com.” They also operate as “mediafyre.com,” maybe others as well. BUT their charges to your credit card are made by other company names like “aiyurin.me” and still other names. Like other people on this thread have written, this whatever-it-is (not a legitimate company) fraudulently charged our credit card in April for $39.99. We had never gone to their web site or ordered anything. They then send you an email saying you’re in a free 3 day trial for all sorts of media (movies, songs, games, etc.), and to go the portal to cancel, but there is no link to the portal. Our bank declines payment on all their charges, but restricts our card for fraud attempts and then we have to get a new card and change our card number on all our regular on-line vendors web sites. AND, they did it again in May. Our bank declined (they must be on to them) and we have to go through the same thing all over again. Avoid like the plague. Watch your credit card account like a hawk. Don’t know how they got our credit card numbers.
Unable to log in - tests from my broadband provider found no issues from my end, but others were also having issues logging in, especially with android devices.
When I contacted mediafire to report the issue I was passed on to a place where my credit card details were requested, so I gave up.
Now unable to play with my band as we used mediafire to store songs.
Total Ripoff!
I got a fraudulent bill for "streaming media services". My bank couldn't contact them and when I called directly they reversed two bills that they had sent. Account shutdown and new credit card issued to totally kill the transaction.
I just got two probing bills -- $1.95 and $4.95 -- two days apart on a debit card that was used for parking at the U of Colorado Metro State Campus. The probes were defeated because I caught them while still pending.
These guys high jack your account and the "streaming service" they claim to deliver doesn't exist.
I was trying to buy a movie ticket on line and at the bottom there was a button to “continue” so I clicked on it followed the steps to set up an account for what I thought was Fandango. It said that my credit card would not be charged at the top, but ass soon as I hit purchase, my card company declined the charge 39.95. Thankfully they did, because it was for Mediafyre and not Fandango. How this was allowed is incredibly deceptive and false, I hope there is some jail time involved for these a holes!
My credit card was billed $39 from an unknown entitiy XNTSHP.NET. I called and they said they were the billing service for MediaFyre.net. I called Mediafyre and they said I had a subscrption but I never subscribed. but wouldn't tell me what I supposedly downloaded. Untrustworthy outfit.
Total SCAM. They spoofed a QR link with a major legal bar association claiming the scanning it would take to me to a page where I could purchase something from that Bar Association. Instead it redirected me elsewhere where despite promising a trial period and no charges (suspicious but the correspondence and organization the spoofed are legit and highly respected) and a 39.99 charge was immediately attempted. Apparently these clowns have done this enough and I instantly got a message from my card's fraud department (who also declined the charge. Already reported them and cancelled my card - which are unpleasant but at least these punks did not get any money. I was told that companies like this have spoofed official law enforcement and government correspondences. I hope they get Ebola.
Automatically opens porn sites while attempting to download files!
Horrible download speed.
I recommend avoiding this
Scam….charging for what was never ordered or authorized….twice ! Somehow managed to grab my significant other’s card info and charged $39 x 2. SCAM !
The download speed is terrible 15 hours for a 3GB file
they're scammers surely
