MED HOTELS cancelled my two holidays booked in the January sales at the 'SOL DON MARCO' a 'Melia hotel' in Torremolinos for April and October 2018.

ONE MONTH after booking the holidays, having booked the time off work, my train tickets to the airport and my transfers, I received an email advising that the hotel stated.....THEY SOLD the ROOM to meTOO CHEAPLY!!

Being out of pocket and without my two holidays......no ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION, no APOLOGY and no COMPENSATION was offered.

Booked a holiday through Holiday Gems who then booked the hotel room through Medhotels.com.
When we arrived at our hotel in Marrakech the room hadn't been booked. Luckily there was 1 spare room and we were able to stay.

After days of emails and calls back and forth medhotels admitted they hadn't booked the room. I was told to pay the hotel for the room (even though I had already paid for it when booking) and they would then pay me back with compensation when I returned.

3 months later I have not received a penny. I cannot correspond with medhotels.com it has to go through Holiday Gems.

No one will tell me what is going on or when I will get my money. Why these multi million pound companies (medhotels.com are part of Thomas Cook) think I can afford to pay for my hotel twice and then they can take months to pay me back the money they promised I do not know.

no communication at all we sent about 10 different email asking them to help and respond with our accommodation booking but heard nothing from them, when called to complaint about the problem, they guy on the phone was laughing when I was crying on the phone to them, I hope they record the conversation and speak to that particular member of staff!
