With this gym
With this gym, you can’t change or cancel your contract, even if you have a valid reason. For example, if you develop a medical condition and are no longer able to work out, they still don’t allow you to cancel the contract. On top of that, they charge an additional €3 every month for administrative expenses, which is not clearly mentioned. In my opinion, this policy feels very unfair and misleading.
It is a trap
The worst gym and experience I have ever encountered.
The main issue is that nobody can handle registration, admin, payment, renewal, cancellations. It is a trap. I wanted to discontinue my membership, and I tried several times but they did not reply and continued to keep me registered until I realized months later that I was paying still for their membership I never used. They can check you don't use the facilities but they denied it. I had to pay for 5 months unused membership.
No one is responsible on site. No one replies the contact form, no phone number nor call center. A true trap.
The worst foooood ever

I can’t cancel my contract
My name is Elia Seco Sechi and I was a member of McFit Turin Lagrange last year. I paid for a 1 year contract, and I was explicitly told on site that it would automatically end after that period. Despite this, I am still being charged.
Since September I have been trying to stop these payments, but it has been almost impossible to reach anyone. The app doesn’t work, the website doesn’t work, no one answers emails, and even messages on Instagram remain ignored. There is simply no way to contact the gym or customer service.
I am extremely frustrated at this point and I need this issue to be resolved immediately.

Automatic Renewal and Unfair Charges After Leaving Italy – McFIT Padova
I joined McFIT Padova in September 2024 as an Erasmus student for a one-year membership, clearly told it would end in September 2025 with no automatic renewal.
After I left Italy in June 2025, I stopped using the gym and assumed the contract would naturally expire. They can check my card analytics to see the last time I entered, matching my departure date.
However, I just discovered that McFIT renewed my contract automatically for another year (2025–2026) and started charging my account again without any notice, email, or consent.
The app only displays a vague message — “Last possible cancellation date” — but never explains that the contract renews automatically if you don’t cancel in advance.
This is deceptive. I’m no longer a resident of Italy or the EU, I cannot legally stay in the country, and I even attached an official police declaration proving that to their customer service. I also provided flight tickets showing my final departure and bank statements proving the new charges.
Despite all this, McFIT told me the “earliest possible cancellation is March 2026,” which is completely unreasonable for someone who legally cannot access their facilities anymore. By the way, there's no way that you can contact them, I sent my friend, who is in Padova still, to go there and talk for me.
I have since contacted ECC-Net (European Consumer Centre) and my bank to dispute these charges. But I still could NOT cancel my contract, I am calling McFIT Padova to contact me!!! ASAP!
Be very careful — McFIT contracts are set to renew automatically even when you are told otherwise, and the app wording is misleading.
If you are a student or non-EU resident, make sure you send a formal cancellation in writing before your year ends, or you risk being charged again for a service you can’t use.
Terrible Gym mcfit/johnreed KreuzBerg Berlin
Unhelpful staff, probably not fully trained for the public service sector. I did not resolve the issue there at the reception. I was not offered a solution except “ we cannot do it here in the studio” I have used the facility at this studio many times through the years ( 2010 ), so it's probably best for me to terminate my membership and move on. The process of the monthly suspension membership used to be in the studio, and I have used it many times, but then your studio became J.R., and confusion is an understatement. Many of the homophobes are in the studio.

Extremely Poor Customer Service and Discriminatory Atmosphere
I have had an incredibly frustrating experience with McFit, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment with others.
Firstly, I canceled my subscription in June 2024, and despite my clear instructions, McFit proceeded to renew my subscription without my consent. This is not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable. I was initially told that my cancellation was confirmed, only for it to later be reversed without my knowledge or permission. The lack of communication and disregard for my requests is appalling.
Furthermore, the customer service team’s response to my concerns was both unhelpful and dismissive. They provided a lengthy explanation about my subscription, but failed to address the key issue of the unauthorized renewal. Instead, they sent me a bill for payments I should not owe, further compounding my frustration.
Additionally, the hygiene conditions at the McFit gym in Perugia are subpar, especially considering the health situation of my housemate, who is an oncological patient. The lack of adequate cleanliness poses a significant health risk, making it impossible for us to continue with our membership.
Finally, the design of the men’s toilets is downright offensive. The toilets in the male restrooms are designed in a way that I find sexist, particularly the shape of the urinals, which resemble the mouth of a woman with makeup. This design choice fosters a disrespectful and discriminatory atmosphere and is completely inappropriate.
Despite raising these concerns multiple times, McFit has yet to offer a satisfactory resolution. I am left with no choice but to warn others about the lack of professionalism and poor customer service I have encountered. I hope McFit takes these issues seriously and improves, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend them to anyone.

McFIT terrible extortion of travelling customers
I signed up to this gym (McFit Catania) in 2023 whilst I was nearby the location. 1 year of good membership, no complaints.
In 2024 I had many work assignments and even living away from Catania so I went to the gym to cancel the membership.
I was informed to cancel I had to email McFit Italia. I did so via email and the app.
McFit support informed me via email "if you want to withdraw from your contract due to transfer issues, you will have to send us a document that proves you have moved to a city or country where McFIT gyms are not present."
I complied sending flight information and tenancy agreements yet they kept the contract active and continued to charge me for the entirety of 2024.
In 2024 I have not used the McFIT facilities at all.
From March until July 2024 I have been communicating via email with the head office in Milan. (Support ID 1738205) To which I have had zero cooperation. I am providing everything they ask for and willing to mediate.
Instead I received passive aggressive responses with zero interest in resolving the matter. It seems they only care that they push customers into a contractual corner and extort money.
In July 2024 McFIT stopped responding to my emails and passed the matter to debt collection.
I have to admit that the gym facilites are okay, and I am more than understanding of business and contract matters however this is a shady and terrible business practice that many businesses avoid yet McFIT executes at the expense of the customer.
To extort 222.65Euros you have wasted many times that in wasting your own employees time. Your losses as a result compound further as I wholeheartedly will never recommend entering into your premises or business to anyone, solely on the basis of shady practices.
You are welcome to contact me and remediate the matter.

unbelievably greedy and use very shady practices
When I signed the contract in 2018 I was very clear about the cancelling part and was assured that after 2 years I can cancel whenever I want. through the years I see that the price keep on increasing for no clear reasons while the quality of the gym itself is base level with very low assistance or maintenance. when I noticed and complained i didnt get a response until I decided to cancel. They scheduled me to cancel 5 months in the future ( they said I can cancel directly whenever I want after 2 years when I was signing the contract) trying to pause -because I dont want to train with them anymore- just extends the contract, there is no phone to call and you are stuck with an automatic unhelpful system they use for costumers. they do absolutely nothing to improve their services but everything to get the last penny from you with no consideration and through shady practices.
Mcfit scams people
I visited Vienna in June 2024 and I wanted to join a gym until the end of the month. I initially thought of joining this gym and registering online but since I don't understand German, I thought it's better to register in person as I assumed the staff would help me select the correct membership. When I visited the gym, I made it clear that I want a membership for one month and that I am leaving Vienna by the end of June. The lady working there at the time told me that it's not a problem as I can register and request a cancellation of my membership at the same time. I registered based on this information and the lady requested the cancellation of my membership and informed me that I will receive confirmation of cancellation within next week. A week later, I received email that my membership can't be cancelled before end of July, i.e. Two months membership not one month membership as I requested. As I have no use of a gym membership in a country I won't exist in, I went to the gym to ask for my membership to be cancelled by the end of the month and I informed them that I was told as long as I cancel my membership at the same time as registration, it shouldn't be an issue. The guy working there at the time told me that you usually can't cancel the membership within the first 2 months, which I wasn't informed of. I was lied to by the staff working there to sign up for a 2 months membership even though I specifically asked for one month membership. If a one month membership isn't possible, I wouldn't have registered and I would have found another gym. Still, the staff there told me since it's only been a week since I registered, I can cancel my membership. So I told him to go ahead with that. Yet, I am still receiving emails pestering me about the 'debt' I owe the gym. What debt? I didn't use the gym in July, I registered for a flex membership which is advertised as a "no minimum contract" membership but you can't cancel it within first 2 months so it is a minimum contract of 2 months. I gave notice of 1 month ahead of my cancellation date and I requested the cancellation once I registered, just as I was advised by the staff. Long story short, Mcfit scammed me and want me to pay them as a bunch of scammers. My advice is, if you want to deal with a company that lie straightaway to their customers, go ahead and join Mcfit.
TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT
I created a contract(by action for 12 months) with the gym in October of 2022 year and used the gym for around 2 years. After that, I relocated to another city, and could not use the gym. I wrote to the support that I wanted to finish the contract BUT they tried to agree that I should pay for 1 YEAR else because my conditions were not met

Preparing to SUE them, join me if you want
Their contracts are completely designed to steal money from your pocket.
They renew for six months, and then another six months, without notifying you at all. They do not provide any instructions on how to cancel your contract on their app.
This is totally unacceptable. Their customer service does nothing but tell you that you need to go to the gym yourself to cancel the contract.
I am definitely preparing to SUE them. Anyone who is interested in suing them, please contact me so we can consider to do it together. correo: rachel477 at qq.con
The money they steal from your pocket is only going to those owners who already have tons of money by setting up this kind of scam, exploiting loopholes in the law. I have read the law in EU and Spain, what you are trying to do here, I can for sure tell you is against the right of the consumer.
See you in court!
Such a SHAME!!!!!

Terrible place
Terrible place. I left because the facilities are bad, there is no wifi or water, barely any toilets, staff are never there.
I've just seen that they have not respected that I terminated the contract and they have continued to charge me for months.
The company is a scam and I will be telling anyone who will listen
Horrible and abusive
Horrible and abusive - with the worst Customer Service representatives I've ever seen.
They threaten me every month with some second-hand "lawyer" firm for alleged "unpaid" subscriptions, when they have an internal problem with their direct payment - so I have to do manual payments, and I always do them with Customer care support and their confirmaiton that my payment was registered.
However, when I talk to Customer support - it's like a madhouse. None of those people talk to eachother, which results in one telling me all is fine and that they have registered my payment correctly (which I have to make manually and with them, because their website also didn't work properly several times) and another one sending me harassment letters and threatening me with lawsuits if I don't pay alleged debts I had already sorted months ago.
When I confront them - these sub-par, rude, incompetent people proceed to further threaten me and tell me my account had been cancelled 2 months ago (during which I have discussions with their other colleagues and they help me pay the subscription their website can't handle normally for whatever reason on their incompetent end, get confirmations all is fine...all good, all tranquil - then their more sociopathic colleagues come on shift and send me lawsuit threats for "not having paid" things I cleared with their colleagues).
And every threat message is different! They ask for 200E, 400E...randomly!! Every person that comes in to work that day in their customer service department sends me a different email!
Now I'm fighting with an illiterate moron called Zurine - who doesn't understand when I tell her:
their company sent another threat letter to me, for an alleged "unpaid" invoice...that I had paid and confirmed with her colleague in December 2023. She is pigheadedly and rudely telling me "we cancelled your account on 30/11/2023"...and I try my best to explain to her that it's their internal issue...as in all my discussions with her colleagues in October, November and December 2023...NOBODY every alluded to the notion that my account is cancelled (why the hell make me pay, then, if it's allegedly cancelled?) and they all confirmed payment was properly registered for all my invoices. Yet this one insists she sent over my case to some sub-par "lawyer" firm (don't get me started on them, I saw they have a 1 star review everywhere, and people are complaining about all sorts of harassment coming from them as well) and that my contract was canceled since 30.11.2023 (during which all her colleagues confirmed that my payment status is ok).
Damn disgrace! I talked to my lawyer about them, but thought to wait it out and see what the hell is happening (it's the only gym close to my house, so I said I'd give it a minute, because I need the training). But so help me God, if these cretins keep up...
Horrible business, horrible people! I can hardly wait to cancel and find a proper, human gym, as these people (at least some the customer care ones, like this Zurine) should be committed to intensive mental healthcare units.

This gym is UNETHICAL,
They have extremely tight subscription rules which will make sure your money will be taken somehow. Get away from it.

This company is unethical.
This company is unprofessional and unethical. They didn't charge me for over a year and I went a total of 5 times before the gyms closed. After never being billed I assumed my one year contract was over. Then I get a €400 bill. Ive asked them multiple times to cancel my account and they basically just told me to "prove it". Its been over two years now.... Do not go to this gym if you dont want your money to be stolen.
