I’ve used many firms for both personal and company matters over the years, and having had several bad experiences was delighted with the service I received. Joseph was highly professional, warm, and always responded to emails quickly. I consulted with Mc Carthy solicitors recently as a customer seeking to finalise a divorce out of a mediation agreement. I was 27 minutes into the online consultation and was asked to pay a significant retainer which is not mentioned anywhere on the website and had not been mentioned to me prior to the consultation. It was practically demanded as a once of payment which I feel the average person cannot afford. After 30 mins the consultation ended as after the retainer bombshell there was nothing further to discuss UPDATE they tried to ring me several times after this review but when I asked them to put down in writing what they wanted to discuss, they wouldn't...what did they want to say on the phone they weren't willing to put in writing? 🤔
