READ THE SMALL PRINT!!!! Matrix installed a telephone system - switchboard and 2 handsets with internet connection almost 5 years ago into my hotel. The price was contractually agreed and service provided. I sold the hotel with almost 7 months left on the a 5 year contract. The new owner wanted to pay for the remaining months/usage enabling the opportunity to discuss with other providers of which they refused and since he has sourced another provider at a 30% reduction in cost. I agreed to allow him to use the system being on a consultancy basis for the remainder of the contract. Given the significant reduction in his cost I reviewed the contractual agreement and increase in price. Matrix agreed that they had significantly OVERCHARGED and issued me with a substantial credit against the remaining months available dispite the all the equipment being returned and any maintenance being required. Also before the equipment being returned I had found out they had also discussed my account details without my authorisation. I have requested the credit to be returned to me however after 3 months since the return of equipment and usage now attempting to charge me for a 30 days over the contract period. They are quite simply deceitful and a pound shy. I will be reporting to the telephone ombudsman and will be take further action at county court to retrieve monies owed.
