I met my partner through match.com more than 5 years ago and we are still happily together. If it hadn’t been for match.com we would never have met, and would have missed out so much in many ways. Meeting her has given me love, romance, comfort, togetherness, call it what you like. She was the third person I contacted in about 2/3 months, and was more genuine. I have found her kind, honest, genuine, truthful, and can honestly say that I have never met anyone else in my life as much as I love her, and can only give match.com a big thank you.

This site is complete garbage. Even if you select to search ladies in range 26-38, all search will give you - is 40+. Girls profiles is terrible, is like out of 10 profiles, only one girl would have normal pics, but 9 would have pics, like they are absolutely crazy and don't care how they look like in pics. With dogs, frogs, snakes and other animals, drunk and etc. But whatever! And out of 100+ messages - I got like 1-2 responses, from ladies that I'm not even interesting. And I'm good looking man. They like robots, just "viewing" your profile, "read" your messages and never respond.

I paid for one year subscription on match and I kept on messaging, messaging, messaging and messaging and unfortunately I didn't get any response!.
I set up my profile as a male interested in women between the ages of 25 to 35 and unfortunately only women +50 to 65 and unfortunately gays and transgender.
I felt so disappointed with that site!.
Unfortunately I realized that women were interested in white caucasian 6'0" taller men and I didn't match their criteria.
So then I have to close my match account because I ended up being stalked and molested by gays and transgenders.

Joined match a short while ago, did basic subscription, then an upgrade, all messages sent NO reply, customer service pathetic, cant even change my email address, so far a complete waste of money, tried to contact customer service the program sends me in circles, very very disappointed. If it wasn't for one person I really like, would leave tomorrow, but even so, NO reply. UPDATE 03/12/21 this site is useless, match suggestions 100 miles away, their matches do not match personal preferences, most do not reply, most do not login for months, chance of meeting any local person on match is very remote, getting out this Christmas because its a a waste of time and money and I stick by my generous one star feedback.

If this dating is so good, why do so many people take the time to write quite length reviews pointing out the atrocious features of the site.
My bet is the so called good reviews are false/planted reviews.

An absolute waste of time. There's hardly any members on there and even less members who fit the profile of what I'm looking for. The app Nickles and dimes you to no end, as most dating apps do today. I don't quite understand why there are dating apps in the first place if it's this difficult to find a suitable person.

I asked for a refund within a couple of hours of setting up a profile and deleted my account. I only received notification from those who fall under my Deal breaker umbrella. Once I realized this I asked for a refund, they admitted I had a valid point but wouldn't refund because I responded to two messages before I realized their misleading information.

I have tried Match before without any success but this time was diabolical. I signed up for 6 months simply because I was pretty sure I was in the right frame of mind and committed to finding a suitable partner. Even though I stayed on my profile what I was looking for age, distance etc I was continually sent 'matches' that didn't fit any of my criteria. Into my 2nd month I started receiving the same matches that I'd dismissed the first time round. I couldnt control who 'liked' or messaged me without paying more money. Subsequently I was bombarded with men half my age, old enough to be my Dad at the other end of the country or not even in this country. Match is badly administered with basically no vetting process in operation even though I'm paying for a service..there is no service. I'd advise anyone man or woman not to waste their money.

I paid for match & started hitting up girls, I saw they were all flashing their g-strings on the beach, @ the pool, showing their breast, just heavily overexposing themselves to hook a sucker. So wht did I do, i took a pic of me flashing around 7 grand in hundreds, just fanned out, saying come & get it ladies! It was brilliant, thn I gt a email from match saying I am not allowed to flash my success, cz it be-littles their other customers!! How stupid is tht, these girls go on match dressed like go-go dancer strippers & street walking prostitute's, & thts ok by matches standard's, but if a successful man of means shows the ladies wht a real man is made of, thts just going too far!??? how much more metoo feminazi manhating can u possibly be!?!!? My opinion is match is against American men who are actually successful, thy want u to grovel on ur knees like a beggar to these whores, like u hve no manhood whatsoever! I wld never recommend match to anyone after this experience, they are against men in america in my opinion, just like America itself isn't emasculating to live in enough by itself, I strongly advise staying away from match, their not worth paying them a penny! 👎👎👎👎👎

Do not go near this app. Such a rip off. You can't seem to cancel your subscription and when you do cancel it they keep taking money from your account unless you cancel it at your bank.

90% Poor Feedback tells a story. An awful website, they promise 100 new matches a day after 2 days the same old tired faces start appearing.

That in its self is False Advertising, which is illegal in this country.

So many other discrepancies with this website.

If you've signed up or created a profile through your mobile phone you can't cancel your subscription or delete your account without using a desktop.

These people are despicable parasites.

Not to far in distant future this scam company will become the new PPI claim.

It's going to cost Match a small fortune to pay out hundreds of thousands of claims.

This is a terrible site. Had a number of issues and a poor experience. The big concern came after I signed up for a 6 month membership. After a month into it, I was unable to log in to my account. I sent numerous password reset requests and eventually emails to the "contact us" email options. No reply back from them and no refund. In other words, theft of my money. Fraud. If you don't want to have your money stolen from you, avoid this site. At least POF offers a free option to evaluate the site.

First, if you decide to try Match, for God's sake, do no use your own debit/credit card. Buy a pre-paid card for the exact amount (or a couple of dollars more). Then they cannot automatically renew you and keep taking your money! If you like it, you can always buy another pre-paid card and renew. Secondly, I found Match to be soul-sucking and depressing. At first it's exciting, because there are so many choices and so much information. However, the chance of having a real conversation or a great date is very low. Men misrepresent themselves, and are nothing like their picture or profile. Exhausting. They are in their 40s and 50s, supposedly handsome, financially secure, great job, great family and friends, well read, great athletes, world travelers, fun, honest, kind, blah blah blah. But for some reason, throughout their college life, grad school, and their entire career and travels, they have never met anyone perfect enough for them. Something is very fishy here. If no one has been perfect enough for them so far, with their good looks, money, and great intelligence and personality, they will never meet anyone to their standards. They are chronic shoppers. Any good-looking and normal guy will be constantly noticed and flirted with by women in the real world; they will not be on a website. Thirdly, the amount of dishonesty is overwhelming. My friend was attacked on a date from Match. I was pursued online by a guy that didn't realize he had already rejected me in person. He had moved in with a wealthy woman to support him, and evidently he didn't need her anymore or tired of her. A real "charmer" and user. I'm sure there must be some good guys on Match, but how would you ever find them? I have switched to meeting people in real life, going out, where ever I am. Yes, it takes a bit of guts and courage, but it is better then hiding behind a screen. At least if someone is not interested in me, I know right away and don't waste time. And right away, I know if their speech, looks, and demeanor are what I am looking for. I know if there is a possibility of attraction right away. Doesn't mean things will work out, but right away I am over the most important hurdles.

You have to become a paid member to be able to communicate with others. So I did! Paid for a 3 months subscription, than when I've tried to log in was the phone number verification. After 3 days, they come back with " this phone number violated out policies and you can't log on" Started a fight with them, and they refunded me a prorated amount. What prorated? I never use the site, so prorated for what? Than I have to wait 3-5 business days for my money to get onto my bank account! Not to mention that they do not have 24 hours support, so I guess you have to meet someone during regular business hours, not Saturdays or Sundays or holidays! Stay away people!

Really disappointed, finally got the courage to go on this dating site. As it's a well known one, thought it would be ok. Sadly, just take your money and do not provide the service. I tried to cancel subscription wasn't clear on how you can do this. Cancelled the automatic renewal and received email to confirm. Two months later and they are still taking money from my account . I looked on the account and my pass was deactivated so shouldn't of been charged. Thought I would reactivate to see if I could access to contact them. No luck, have done a feedback form, still nothing. Thought as I am still paying would try it out. Can't message or do anything with it. So am paying for something that if I did see someone I liked I couldn't message them even if I wanted to. Pointless! I just want to cancel and stop being charged 😒

More search criteria however only slight improvement on Affiny. If you want something to be able to search on specific interests as opposed to generic, then do not bother.

Despite that I have a paid subscription, Match has taken away my ability to view my message box. I can no longer see messages I've sent to women. I can no longer see who has read my messages. And I apparently no longer have any access to a message box at all.

It's not even about whether the women are "real" or whether they respond. Match is a rip off.

It is good to see that it is not just me that finds the site fake & a waste of time. I totally agree with the previous comments. One positive is that if you subscribe, there is now a 14 day cooling off period & it was simple to cancel, recieve a refund & close the account. I do wish that dating sites were made more responsible for how being a member & the negative aspects potentially could be damaging to some.

Terrible service they use fake profiles with views and likes to get you to join the site and pay they were even sued for it before and when they have your money they do what they want they refuse to provide a refund ignore emails when your account is closed. They are crooks and thieves. Avoid these cowboys and scammers.

As with any dating site the men VASTLY out number the women so FOR MEN , MATCH ET AL IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
Men get ZERO a day, MAYBE ONE every blue moon or so unsolicited messages.
women get BURIED by DOZENS DAILY.
Most of the womens profiles are inactive and many men give up after a while.
BOTTOM LINE ;
INTERNET DATING WEBSITES ARE A SCAM THAT PREY ON LONELY, GULLIBLE MEN AND UNATTRACTIVE WOMEN.
