Avoid this company at all costs

When initially enrolling with this company communication and support was excellent.
Until I paid……..
I attended the initial training course as planned. Instead of two full days training I received one and only two models instead of the contracted 8-10 for both injectables and Botox.
I followed up immediately with Brittany Delahunty via email about my concern and request for further clinical support and training or a partial refund.
Since that time there have been numerous emails. Each full of false promises and absolutely no resolution. Certainly no refund.
To say they are unprofessional and untrustworthy would be an understatement. This company is to be avoided at all costs.

am a registered medical practitioner in…

am a registered medical practitioner in Australia, and I want to warn other professionals and trainees about my experience with MATA (Medical Aesthetics Training Academy) and their representative Brittany Delahunty, as well as the company’s CEO Mr. Faz (Faizeen) Zavahir.

In October 2025, I paid more than $3,900 AUD for a hair transplant training course after receiving multiple assurances from Brittany that the course would go ahead on time without any delays.
Soon after payment, MATA postponed the course, and I formally requested a refund on 18 October 2025.
Brittany confirmed in writing that the refund would be “actioned,” yet despite numerous follow-ups for over 4-5 weeks, the refund has never been processed.

During this process I discovered the following:

The address listed for MATA — 31 Chiltern Crescent, Castle Hill NSW 2154 — appears to be false; it is a residential location, not a training facility.

The phone number listed is a UK number, even though they claim to operate in Australia. When called, it either reports as disconnected or invalid.

Repeated promises that the refund would be sent “this week” were never fulfilled.

This behaviour is unprofessional, misleading, and unacceptable, especially from a company marketing itself to healthcare professionals.
I have reported the matter to Fair Trading Australia, my solicitor, and relevant medical authorities.

Until MATA and its representatives demonstrate transparency and integrity by returning the funds owed, I strongly advise everyone to avoid sending money or deposits to this organisation.
Their false address, unreachable contact numbers, and unfulfilled refund promises are serious warning signs.

Mata have taken my money

Mata have taken my money, and having completed all the coursework and paid £7500, we were told they were having financial issues and unable to proceed with my level 7 diploma. No communication beyond that and yet they are still active and clearly have new trainees that are unaware they wont get their level 7 diplomas but MATA will have taken their money. DISGRACEFUL.

Complete Scam

Complete Scam! I enrolled in the level 7 course over a year ago and submitted all the coursework in 2024. They sent an email Feb 2025 to say they are having financial struggles and would reach out in the next 2 months with more information on the qualification. They are now not responding to calls or emails - absolutely appalling. It took a year to complete all that coursework and to now not receive the qualification and no communication is horrific. Even when they did run their course days they were terrible and cancelled on a day without warning to anyone then refused to take accountability when all the candidates were waiting outside for hours. This needs to be pursued further - they expect us to enrol in another level 7 course at our own expenses if we want the qualification. Terrible terrible practice and an absolute scam.

Appalling

I submitted my completed work in May 2024 yet still to receive my certificate. The company has now gone into administration & no longer contactable. My money has been taken with no certificate for the Level 7 course even after completing all the work given.

Misrepresentation?

I signed up with MATA for a course that they still advertise on their website as being "awarded by EduQual". I contacted EduQual a few days ago and they told me that they severed all ties with MATA back in 2019! How can MATA be allowed to do this?

Took £7200 for an aesthetic diploma course level 7. Didn’t register with othm, didn’t pass my completed work to them. Ignored all my emails and calls. I have completed all work but have no certificate or registration. They have now closed up and done a runner. Dr F Zavahir is the owner. He has let us all down.

Unethical Business Practices

I have worked with MATA for over two years, renting my clinic space for their training sessions. Throughout this time, I have encountered persistent and frustrating issues regarding late and disputed payments. Despite fulfilling our contractual obligations, MATA has repeatedly delayed payments, only settling invoices after prolonged disputes and ultimatums. However, the last three invoices, dating back to August 2024 and totaling over £2,000, remain unpaid.

Despite multiple emails and phone calls, their accounts department has been completely unresponsive. When I escalated the issue to the owner, Dr. F Zavahir, I was met with hostility rather than resolution. Instead of addressing the outstanding debt, he reacted by terminating our agreement and making baseless threats of legal action over supposed “serious regulatory breaches,” which were never explained. It was clearly a delay tactic to avoid payment.

Beyond financial misconduct, MATA’s poor management has negatively impacted my business. They have:
• Failed to repair a treatment couch they damaged over 18 months ago, despite repeated promises.
• Allowed training sessions to be poorly organised, leading to frequent delegate complaints.
• Neglected to inform delegates when training was canceled, causing frustration and confusion. We have had to deal with angry calls from delegates and models who mistakenly associate these issues with our business, ‘Face Perfect Clinic,’ damaging our reputation.

After months of chasing payment, I was forced to pursue the matter through small claims court. In response, MATA has now liquidated their company—an outrageous act that conveniently avoids paying their debts. Shockingly, Dr. Zavahir has since begun operating under a new company name, The Mulberry Hospital Group, raising serious ethical concerns about his business practices.

A medical professional with over 25 years of experience should uphold ethical standards, yet Dr. Zavahir’s conduct suggests otherwise. I will be reporting him to the General Medical Council (GMC) and urge others who have been affected by MATA’s dishonest practices to come forward. Collectively, we may have more influence in ensuring that such unethical behavior is exposed and addressed.

If you are considering working with MATA or The Mulberry Hospital Group, I strongly advise against it. Their lack of integrity, professionalism, and accountability is appalling.

ZERO Star Review

**One Star Review**

I enrolled in the Level 7 Aesthetics course in January 2025, paid £2500 and financed the remaining costs, and received the e-learning details. However, on March 10th, I received an email from MATA stating that they needed to stop their practical training due to financial struggles. Since then, I have been unable to contact anyone—calls to both their landline and mobile numbers go unanswered. This is incredibly frustrating, as I’ve worked hard to save up the money I paid for this course and now can’t do the training I paid for. Even worse, it seems they are hiding and ignoring their students, which is consistent with other negative reviews. I will now be seeking legal help to try and get my money back. I would strongly advise others to think twice before paying for any courses with MATA.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. The communication from MATA aesthetics has been abismal. I did their level 7 course and having paid and completed all the work, I’ve waited almost a year for them to submit it to OTHM which they didn’t and now I hear they have gone into administration!!

Absolutely shite even when they were in business.

Memphis Area Transit Authority

Memphis Area Transit Authority needs to put more buses that service the handicapped and disabled customers. I had the worst experience the first and probably will be my last. Poor bus service, rude employees with so much attitude. I love Memphis, but you guys need to do better. 5 hours in my wheelchair waiting for a bus that never came.

MATA have taken my money and won't refund it

I paid £155 for treatment and MATA cancelled it the day before. Now I can't get a refund or talk to anyone. The Founder, Company Director and Medical Director. Dr Faizeen Zavahir needs to take responsibility for this very poor practice otherwise he will have to account to the GMC and could lose his licence.

Where do I start this review

Where do I start this review. I was supposed to start my training on the 1st and 2nd of February but I got a cancellation email a week to the training. I had booked a hotel and paid for train tickets. I sent an email and left several phone messages but not one was replied to by MATA. The email said they had a building emergency and that was the reason for the cancellation. I think its highly irresponsible of MATA not to respond to messages and emails when the admin staff work from home. I am requesting my money to be refunded at this stage.

Not even worth one star

Not even worth one star. I paid upfront for my foundation botox and filler course training, for it to be cancelled just before due to ‘building works’. There were no future dates offered or a contact number or email. They are now ignoring all calls and emails, and no refund. I will be taking legal action
