Made an account to sell my old graphics card. Account got blocked the next day, which itself took a while to figure out since the web version does not let you know your account is blocked, it just doesn't let you log in. Once I figured it out I talked to customer support over a text chat. They told me my account was blocked due to suspicious activity and could not be unblocked. They did not elaborate what the supposed suspicious activity was. Totally useless.

Years ago this website worked normally. Then it attracted lots of scammers, then the company wanted to fight back the scammer, but they did a horrible job their, instead of hurting the scammer they are hurting the customer more. Unnecessarily removing payed advertisement, such a waste of time and money. Stay away as much as possible from this website. I personally think throwing a valuable stuff in garbage is a way way better than coming this web site and trying to sell it.

I bought many things via marktplaats.nl and never had real issues with them, but now that I have one (someone didn't deliver what I payed for and played it nasty) they ignore me, provide non-working links to the only way of making contact with them, and send me everytime annoying pop-ups that advise me to stay friendly, suggesting that I am/was not nice instead of them and the other guy. This is very cheap and disappointing.

Absolutely 0 customer support. Impossible to log in from any other country than Netherlands. They just block you and refuse to register your account

I loved the way, I sold my stuff to the highest bidder. Till now no issues for me. When it comes to Review, they randomly select people who messaged me. What a stupid analogy? If I don’t sell it to the lowest bidder, do you think the bidder will give me 5 star rating? I got 1 star rating, which would have eventually affected my next sale. So I decided and deleted my account. Good bye Marktplaats.

Customer service is non existent. SO many scammers in there without any consequences. Sellers that steals copyright photos, last minute cancellation of a sale appointment transactions and many more.

My perception of this company is one of no understanding, no compassion, and no idea how to treat customers.
I have never come across such a complicated procedure to unsubscribe and close an account where I've neither bought or sold anything. I am two-thirds blind and struggling to translate every single word. Having completed their form I am then told it's not the correct one, do it again! without explaining fully what was wrong. I am expected to make choices in another language which when translated are often ambiguous at the very least. If I understand correctly they now want a country identity card number?? within 5 days or the request will be ignored.
I saw an electronic machine which took my interest and to find out more was obliged to subscribe. When I contacted to seller he didn't even have the courtesy to reply to my questions. Is this normal in Holland? I regret ever having ever having subscribed.
Administration creates its own work in order to justify its existence.
In my opinion, a good example of a bad internet company. Avoid!

I wish I could rate zero stars. This website has seen its downfall in the last few years. It was good years ago, nowadays the search results dont match your query and its loaded with pesky advertisements. Alot of the times you have to pay marktplaats to even have your ad, there are websites that are free and more used so dont fall for "ur ad will be seen more". I used to love marktplaats, but they paved the way for scammers and advertisements. As a local 2nd hand goods seller please help yourself and keep away from this.

4 days ago i sold 3 daycards ( ticket for train) in marktplaats . The customer payed via marktplaats and i sent cards via “post NL “. Now 4 days after sending cards he says that he doesn't get the post yet. I sent cards by letter packet and there was no track and trace code for the letter, I have no idea what should I do know?!

INCREDIBLE!!!! 1 year an account on "zakelijk verkopen" Paying 400-500 a month to them. Yesterday I setup a private account and add a dozen articles ( private) as im moving out from the Netherlands. 6 hours later account blocked. Reason " we had some tips about your products but can not say more as it's internal information".

Careful. Don't buy anything from Audiosoof. Send the money and receive nothing in return.

Shattiest website to use while buying anything you can try to register many e mails and they block you randomly and say it was blocked for security reasons. When you try to unblock and click the option to send an e mail to unlock your account the email never comes. Tried 3 different e mails never worked. Shatservice, shat website, full of advertisements. Avoid at all cost

It’s the most unpleasant website I’ve ever used that showcases the most ugly aspects of Dutch culture. People are not just rude but very quickly threatening.

I wish they would use eBay in this country…

Perhaps I was naive but I thought there would be some protection for the customer. If a product does not arrive, or in bad condition they do not offer any resolution and ask you to contact the police! Be careful, I have had an experience with a shocking seller and no way for me to get my money back

swamp plaats marktplaats, i want to open account, discriminatig me, i have use email, for activation they want only dutch phone number, su. k your mother niplles swamp garbage!!!!

Some child rang me on my private number using a no user id number to offer a ridiculous sum for the item up for sale.
How did this child get my phone number ? so much for security, phone number removed from site,
Also trying to report breach to Marktplaats is like trying to melt Antartica with one match, or hopeless.

Mine account was hacked. The hacker placed a add on it. Then a seller wanted to buy it and after a while mine account was flagged bc the hacker was fooling around. Then the account got blocked. I mailed and I got a response to clean the virus and passwords. After that I needed to mail them again. So I did and they needed some info about me when I registered where I live and phone nr. It's was years ago and ppl change phone numbers and move to other houses and change ip address. So I awnsered the question. It didn't match when I registered. Then I tried again but failed. I used the same ip adres at mine company. I know for sure the company's ip is in their logins.

So the helpdesk is a mess and the get back account policy is to strict. Then I ask if the account can be deleted and I got a response that the to fill in a form and sent it back. Then have to wait 10 days if I still wanted to turn back mine decision. Then after 30 days the account will be deleted permanently. I want to only use mine old mail not wait 30 days to acces it.

The biggest users of marktplaats are bargains hunters. If you place a thing for 1000 euros on it and write, "Only serious offers" or "need at least 1000 euro". Then ppl still offers 300 euro. Or ppl call and want to look while the person offers not even half of the 1000euro.

A lot of junk is posted and when it's taken over by ebay the helpdesk got worse.

Hardly any serious buyers, only bargain hunters. With this experience I don't even want to remove mine account and I don't even want to use this platform again.

They have blocked my account after I posted an ad (I guess because I used the free version and didn't want to pay).
Then I contacted with the customer service to learn why my account is blocked.
Customer service told me they don't know, it is a different department who makes the decision, sounds ridiculous.
I said ok, well then delete my account since you have my private phone and address details.
Customer support gave me a url to submit a request but url doesn't work.
I told the customer support url is not working, their response was wait for an email from us, still waiting... !?

BAD! very bad! stay away from this idiot site!
