Looking for a competative insurance quote to cover our risks and responsibilities as trustees of the local village hall.
Having realized that the current insurer was not competitive and not independant either i googled and found these guys.
As with most insurance its a bad day when you find out for real if its worth a dime, but at least i can say we did not get ripped off or lied to about what we were buying.

The service was simple and straightforward. The policy was explained in detail, without jargon and with no pressure to take out the PLI policy. All information was emailed immediately.

Your customer service sales representative was calm and reassuring and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision.

I signed up for cover as a general builder. Having been through it all I discovered that there was no cover for steel works. As a builder doing extensions you would assume this would be one of the most common things done and therefore covered. I have tried calling you over the past two week period to try sort this out, but everytime at 12 min into the call I get cut off. It's impossible to get through to anyone to rectify the issue. Absolute atrocious customer service. Hire more people if you can't keep up with demand

Very easy and clear online self-service with telephone support.

The questions were straightforward with clear instructions.

I found it easy to Get A Quote, which I accepted. All the paperwork was emailed to me the same day

It was a simple, fast and straight forward process of obtaining a quote and then arranging the insurance for my Clan Society.

Once I emailed the complaints email, they were able to resolve the issue but it was still incredibly frustrating not being able to get through.

I'm trying to change the address on my policy but some numbers on the website don't work and others there's just no answer! Ridiculous.

Markel still charged me after cancelling my policy with them. It took me nearly 90 minutes to speak to someone for a refund. I couldn't get my refund from them but suggested calling credit providers. The gentleman I spoke to was helpful.

They charge even after cancelling the policy.

Helpful and competitive. Hopefully if we need to make claim they’ll be as helpful!!

All done online. The online system correctly identified what insurance we a voluntary group wanted at a good price.
Then it was easy to order and get the paperwork

Well the insurance rate for our club was reasonable and better than others. Find the staff very helpful as just a small club like ours, we can't afford a lot so when we found you bingo! Thanks a lot.
