I need to balance out these reviews, because I read all the negative reviews and got really anxious about my order..and then interacted with the company and they were very helpful and accessible. I ordered online from Australia and needed to confirm a few things. They were very reassuring and gave me much reassurance, as well as advice on a product from the warehouse. I am yet to receive goods...order only placed yesterday, but as far as responsiveness and customer service it has been good.

Purchaed a Fin Nor lethal 30 spinning reel.
Dropped it first day out and the rotor broke in half. Told its not covered by warranty. Have been trying to get a price for a replacement part. 3 emails. No replies.
Last purchase from me. Bad service.

I have been very happy will other purchases from Marine deals in the past however my last purchase has not arrived even though the track and trace claim it has. Its a nightmare to deal with these guys when it goes wrong. Its not possible to speak with anyone in NZ no
matter how many times you call.

Such a bad experience buyinv from this this company. They used to be good. Cheap prices also means cheap service!!! Not sure what happened. Deliveries are a mess! Especially when they use companies like Toll. No clear indication when product will arrive, wrong delivery dates are given, and so it goes. Very disappointing.

Pretty shocking with their tardiness, took a week to put a tracking number to my parcel, and only after I emailed them that I wanted to cancel the order, they put a tracking# on that same day, so i couldn't cancel the order, tracking says it's going to take another 10 days to get here, so had to rig up some old gear for my scheduled dive..i purchase online from Auckland almost everyday, and have had way quicker service and delivery from Auckland, ordered from Wettie in Auckland 2 days ago, and the parcel tracking says it's already in Motueka and will be delivered today nz post.. probably won't use Marine Deals again... maybe but probly not..

One of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with, over two months to get a refund and no idea about the products they are selling

I bought a headlamp which turned out to be faulty, but found the service to be excellent and resulted in them standing by their product and sending out a replacement unit. Fast shipments. Would have no problem using them again.

be careful or freight will bite you. As you compile an order the site continually says "Just spend an "additional $0.15 to get Free Shipping!
*Excludes large Bulk items and applies to orders less than 3kg. Applies to metro postcodes only.Just spend $x more for free shipping (terms and conditions apply)". You add too your cart until the amount required is booked. When you check out it charges $19.95 freight. 10% extra. You waste your time trying to save freight and then get charged. Ordering a large number of small items you have no idea what they weigh or their volumetric weight which they calculate at checkout. I am unhappy to have earnt the free freight to have it taken away after wasting my time expanding an order to comply.

I tried ordering from them, they cancelled my orders without stating why, they responded once to my email saying they will get back to me then ignored me.

Worst online shopping experience ever. Ignoring a customer and cancelling orders without reason is the utmost disrespect a company can do.
