Rude guy at the door. Didn't want to let us in pretending the bar was fully booked. Knowing we emailed the hotel to book and they confirm we can walk in to the bar.
Sat with friends for shisha and coffee since they liked to try it at the mayfair branch, and in less than an hour the staff came and brought the bill saying that our time is up, because they need to make other customers sit, and they did that to other table next to us who where in the middle of their dinner!!! when we questioned that they said its their time limit to sit for an hour only, wow!!! definitely not a place that we will be coming back to again, and would not recommend it to any one who likes to enjoy an orient atmosphere in London, there are other places who have their customer satisfaction as their priority, but definitely not this place, avoid at all cost.
Absolute scam.
I got a trial shift with them at the start of June/ July. But it all seemed abit dodgy to me as the pay was ridiculously high and just seemed too good to be true.
i was told to buy a Covid book before the trial shift which was 40 pound ( also very dodgy) , before my trial shift I went to the place to check it out and low and behold the restaurant wasn’t open and looked like it was being refurbished or something ( out of business for a few months- this is the Knightsbridge branch) I immediately text the manager and tell him as I’m concerned because my trial shift was the next two days?
And then after that I get no reply till the day after where they cancel the trial ( bare in mind my 40 pound book has came and it’s so ridiculously thin, looks like something a child put together) and reschedule and they do this cancel and reschedule about three times. They knew exactly what they were doing.
I don’t hear from them again until I look on PayPal and I’ve been issued a refund for my book with the reference being ‘ please forgive me for I have sinned’ ( creepy right?) but not only that a few days go by and PayPal tell me that they couldn’t do the refund and I should contact the people. This is where I realised I have been scammed out of 40 pound. I look on the website where I got the book - the website doesn’t exist anymore? I email, I call, I check for thé managers number on WhatsApp. It doesn’t exist? Welp.
And till this day I still do not have my 40 pounds.
Do not apply for a job from these lowly sick scums. In a pandemic doing that to people they should be ashamed of themselves.
Food is good, but not Covid safe,Tables are too close and four people sat beside me on a table for two as their table was full for such a small table and staff was rude, as we moved to a empty table the waiter asked us to move back to the table with lots of people not caring about covid, terrible waitress.
Such bad experience about hiring staff. Makes you buy book for 40 £ then cancel interweaving
