Terrible product (DLM 432), atrocious customer service.

Have owned 10+ Makita products for the better part of a decade - as a layman renovator, not a professional - and was hence a loyal customer, never even considering competing brands or reading reviews any longer. However, a recently bought lawnmower (DLM 432) broke within a couple of weeks of purchase (the attachment between a front wheel and the body of the machine broke off clean, under no strain whatsoever). Googling the problem, I realized this is a common problem for their lawnmowers - as is the absolutely terrible, atrocious customer service (really - 100% lack thereof). As a loyal customer, I hope this problem is confined to the lawnmowers, not indicative of a broader, steep decline in quality. But the customer service is simply risible, and that seems applicable their product range, at least in Belgium. Please consider another brand, if they still have adequate customer service and quality of their services. Extremely disappointing.

The Makita UD2500 Electric Shredder…

The Makita UD2500 Electric Shredder must surely be one of the most annoying inventions in human history. How on earth did somebody come up with this design?? A plastic bucket one is to push onto som rails, with a plastic handle you, once the bucket is fixed, have to push up. This handle has a steel pin that is to be attached properly when the handle is pushed up. The bucket does not contain much before you have to empty it, and you have to fiddle around a lot for the machine to start. With shredding branches there is high risk of stuff getting stuck where the steel pin is to go.
I' m sorry - but this handle solution needs to be replaced with something WAY MORE user friendly, secure and solid.
