I am trying to cancel my subscription without success, it is very stressful not getting any response to emails, it’s poor customer service, and a payment was taken after I requested cancellation. I’ve not experienced anything like this with companies I have ordered craft kits from. I have been with Makerly Crafts for over 6 years and since the new owner took over in January 2023, it hasn’t been the same. No basic information in the craft kits, like a contents list or detailed instructions, we did have a lovely community Facebook group which the new owners put a stop to, as we as customers gave constructive feedback and they didn’t like it. With any craft kit you purchase whether it be from a store/online shop the basics are in the kit, a list of what’s inside and how to do the kit in detail, these were always missing. We have had two good kits which were outsourced as the way they were presented was totally different and the quality of the kit contents and having instruction booklets, but ones they have done themselves unfortunately have got progressively worse month on month and July 2023 kit was the tip of the iceberg. Coloured pencils and two colour by number sheets, nothing else in the box, no content list, how to guide, nothing inside saying it’s from Makerly apart from their address on the address label on the front of the box. Very disappointing when you pay £25 a month. I would just like them to be more customer conscious and reply to your emails in a decent time frame, and issue an immediate refund when you’ve cancelled, waiting over a week is not acceptable for a reply from emails you’ve sent them.
