A scam in operation at renewal time

A scam. Yes their get out clause is always in terms and conditions or small print. I took out a 6mth half price sub for printed edition daily mail. Without any notification in advance re the end of sub approaching or impending price increase (like Amazon prime would for example) they continued my sub at full price. Shall we say a legal scam in operation. Lesson learned, any sub taken out, remove that renewal immediately. Be warned as others have rightly said!

Annual subscriptions - be careful

Be very careful if you take out an online subscription. They don’t remind you when it’s due to renew and it’s impossible to find where to cancel it on line. They took £99 and when I phoned them and said I don’t want it this year I was told that they would cancel it from next year but they wouldn’t refund this year. I was amazed. I asked to speak to a manager, who guess what, was unavailable. They will ring you within 72 hours. Of course no call. Luckily I’d paid through PayPal and they didn’t reply to them either so I got my money back. Be careful.

I think this review may be in the wrong place. I didnt read it properly that it was about discount codes. I couldn’t find anywhere more suitable or I would have moved it.

Did a year’s subscription last year

Did a year’s subscription last year. Note for one year. Today I was charged £99 for another year automatically . Checked my e mail from last year from mail subscriptions and no mention of automatic renewal.
Today when I spoke to customer service to cancel same I was told that was not possible and I should have read thoroughly terms and conditions. If it wasn’t stated in e mail correspondence , I would call this devious and ethically unfair.
I would never recommend anyone to subscript to mail on line.
