Zero Customer Service & Communication

I ordered a lamp on the 5th of January that was supposed to be shipped in 1-2 weeks.
In the email confirmation for the order i received there were different bank details mentioned compared to the order information in my account. I wanted to make sure i have sent the money to the right account and contacted the customer service on 13.01. and several times since then. I have not received confirmation that my money has arrived, no feedback if it has arrived to the correct account, no replies to my tickets and no update on my order whatsoever which is now at least a week overdue.

Under no circumstances should you order…

Under no circumstances should you order from Made in Design! Very poor customer service that shirks responsibility when problems arise and makes the customer look stupid. You can't expect any support here.

We sincerely regret your dissatisfaction and we apologise for any hard feeling.

As informed by our after-sale team, your case has been presented to the brand, whose decision, as a retailer, we ought to respect.

You declared that the problem occurred only when you removed the diffuser from the lamp. The brand replied that your item had not been therefore installed in accordance with its instructions for use. This means, it is no longer covered by the manufacturer's guarantee.

As already proposed, we can order a replacement diffuser, which would however be at your expense.

We understand that you might find this decision not satisfying and we received your request of second opinion. Our manager is currently revising your case.

Totally uncontactable and no commitment to deliver anything. Thousands of euros paid out

The only way I get any response from made in design is when I write here.

Out of the 3 large orders (circa 3k€ each) I made 6 weeks ago to furnish my new house precisely zero products have arrived. One order was cancelled and the other 2 I have no visibility over at all. Will I lose my money? Will I get any items at all? The kids have almost no bedroom furniture. It’s heartbreaking.

Please contact me and let me know when I will get my items. This is dragging on so long and it’s appalling.

Worst design website ever.

Worst design website ever.
They lie on the website about when they deliver the product, they don't answer the phone and hardly answer to emails. I think their warehouse is empty, and they order the product from somewhere else, as soon as they sell something. Don't order from them!!

Never again

Unfortunately I only read the reviews once I had already been ripped off. The customer service is terrible! Responses to e-mails and even phone calls are incredibly rare and even in those cases either rude or standardised.
Keep away from MadeInDesign!
