My experience with Lumiere was completely unexpected. The experience was transformative. Lumiere changed the way I perceive myself and the world around me. They provided me with an exceptional experience alongside an outstanding mentor, who was super supportive and positive. I learned a great deal, not only in my area of research but also about being a researcher, a human, and a critical thinker. They excel in being supportive, helpful, and understanding. I encourage all enthusiastic and passionate students to join Lumiere.

I really enjoyed the Lumiere Research Program, because it allowed for me to answer questions I have been curious about, and research new ideas for me to explore in the future. In addition, the unwavering support for my program directors, managers, and my mentor, helped me feel supported throughout this process. As this was my first research paper, I am happy and proud of the progress that happened this summer, and I wish to participate again soon.

I had a wonderful mentor who gave very clear instructions and small tasks in each session, which made it easier for me to keep up with deadlines. She set up priority tasks and gave reasonable amounts of work.

Although the research is self-guided, Lumiere provided excellent resources to assist me with my research journey. The Lumiere staff consistently checked in with me and let me know about supporting materials. Additionally, my mentor, Kathryn Wall, was amazing. We met every week and she was always available to answer any questions. She gave me great feedback. She also helped me to focus my research topic. I am grateful to Lumiere for giving me the confidence to succeed in my research.

My experience with Lumiere was extremely educational, and exciting. Having no prior research experience, this entire process of conducting research from scratch with the help of my mentor for my own publication was very exhausting, yet all the more rewarding at the end when I submitted my paper to my target journal. I truly believe that Lumiere provides a great opportunity for students to take their first major steps into the world of academia, allowing them to make a considerable contribution to their respective field of study at a young age. Equipped with various new research skills and tools, I now look forward to further delving into more research projects in the future at university and beyond. I want to highlight the excellent, detailed writing centre feedback provided when requested as it was the key to perfecting my paper. Additionally, my mentor and program manager were very understanding of the busy schedule I was working with, making the process more flexible in accordance with my workload at different times and helping me keep to deadlines to the greatest extent they could. Personally, I didn't experience any difficulties during the entire research process owing to the solid infrastructure set in place by Lumiere to ensure that every student is as supported as they can possibly be throughout. However, it is important to note that the final responsibility of producing a high-quality final publication still lies with the student researcher at the end of the day, regardless of how much support and guidance is provided by the team here at Lumiere, making it vital for students to be committed throughout if they plan on pursuing research in the form of a paper.

I've been a research mentor for Lumiere for a couple years. Overall, it's been a great experience. They provide all the necessary resources to be successful. The program is structured, and there are program managers and other management that can help whenever needed. Very rewarding to help students develop research skills and perform research.

Overrated offering, without clear direction or assistance. It also doesn’t help the CEO continuously boasts and brags about taking company vacations - clearly money isn’t going into R&D.

Better looking elsewhere for your application and education needs. Difficult UI, slow speeds, obscure boasting.

Lumiere Education provided me a good opportunity to cooperate with professor and a chance to write and publish my first research paper. My professor is supportive and kindly, he guide me to a new area that I haven’t research before, it helps me to gain a lot of interesting knowledge. Additionally, my program manager and publication strategist both friendly and understanding, their encouragement and suggestion are a big motivation to me. Finally, the writing center of Lumiere Education also provide me crucial advice for a better and structured writing, which help me to successfully published my final research paper. Therefore overall experience was fantastic, despite the time given for us may be a little bit short for me.

Throughout the program, Lumiere extremely accommodating, realizing that besides research we were students. This program is an experience unable to be gained anywhere else, the mentors are extremely qualified, and if I were given the choice, I will do it all over again.

I’m deeply grateful for the support and guidance I received throughout my research journey. My mentor’s thoughtful feedback, patience, and encouragement made a big difference, especially as this was my first academic research experience. Her insights helped me approach complex topics with more confidence and shaped my ability to think critically and communicate more clearly. Overall, her mentorship made the process much more approachable and enjoyable, and I truly appreciate the time and dedication she shared with me.

I’d also like to thank my Program Manager, who was always attentive, helpful, and supportive throughout the program. She provided essential logistical support and made sure I had everything I needed to stay on track and feel confident during each stage of the process.

The program is really well planned. The deadline and the guidebook helped me stay on track throughout the program and the writing center is also very helpful especially during the last few weeks. My program manager and mentor were honestly very supportive throughout the program and also flexible when it came to last minute changes in my schedule. I would definitely recommend partaking in the Lumiere Research Program to any and all students interested in research.

Lumiere was one of the most transformative experiences I've ever had. It's more than a research, it's a whole new path.

My mentor matching was perfect, I didn't even expect to have such an amazing person and a professional. Have to admit, it was intense, but worth every second.

Moreover, I was awarded a full scholarship, which made it possible for me to participate, and I will be forever grateful for that.

Lumiere Education was a wonderful journey that I'll never forget in my life! It was a journey that taught me various new things, and an in-depth analysis of the topic I had chosen, guided by a professional mentor. It is a professional platform, and I would recommend it to any student seeking experience and in-depth analysis of their subject of choice, which would later help them with their college applications.

Overall, the Lumiere experience was great, and I think it taught me a lot about research as a whole and all the aspects that go into conducting a fully developed research paper. Throughout my experience, my program manager as well as the writing team were very valuable in providing feedback and got back to me in a very timely manner. I would recommend this to anyone looking to conduct research in science fields because this program broadened my knowledge significantly, as well as teaching me other important life skills like time management, responsiveness, etc.

Lumiere was one of the most impactful academic experiences I’ve had so far. I got the chance to research gender-based discrimination in entrepreneurship in Pakistan, something I’m deeply passionate about, with the guidance of an incredible mentor who pushed me to think critically and stay focused. My mentor was extremely helpful; with his guidance and throughout my time with Lumiere, I learnt how to write a full research paper from scratch, conduct interviews, and dive deep into academic literature. I really appreciated how supportive and responsive the Lumiere team was, especially my program manager, throughout the journey.
