REVIEW: LONDON APARTMENT RESERVATIONS

Stayed in Feb. - March 2023 at one of their properties in Bloomsbury, London. They are a very bad manager. The property had several problems that were not fixed timely or at all and the absentee manager, Harry James, was like dealing with a used car dealer. He denied any of the problems existed (despite the audit trail), invented things that we had not raised in order to dismiss them (creating a straw man and destroying it). Did not address many of the points we raised or follow up with the management on site that I had referred him to. This was despite the fact that we had followed all the complaint reporting procedures.

His final act was one of blatant vindictiveness. As I had complained, he used the “landlord’s review” to create a wholly false review. For example, “Cleanliness 3 / 5”, Communication 1 / 5”, House rules 1 / 5”. He invented these out of spitefulness. My rating on AirBnB, Uber, and Lyft is 5/5. He is the only person to ever come up with numbers like this.

This is an inherently dishonest and malicious individual. Avoid him and his company. Very strongly not recommended.

Below is the report I originally submitted. These are the kind of things Harry James lies about rather than accepting responsibility.

1) Safe not working. Reported day 1 for a claimed fix on day 2. When we
returned on day 2 nothing had been done. I reported this to the front desk
down the street (again) and the staff discovered that the original staff
member had logged the repair date as the previous month. Inexcusable. Day 3
a workman arrived to fix the safe and left saying he had done so. He had,
in fact, only done 80% of the job. It was unusable. Another staff member
had to come and make the safe work.

The problem with the safe was that the battery chemicals in the lock had
escaped. Why was it that I found this? Do they not check their premises? You claim to be doing intense cleaning due to the pandemic, yet you missed chemicals spewing out of the safe battery? People are going to think your claims to be doing deep cleaning are empty platitudes.

2) A light in the kitchen did not work. This also took two days to fix.

Why did I find this? Does mgt. not check rooms for such basic maintenance
issues?

3) No fresh towels available on day 6 after I walked several premises to
get new ones. Why? Did someone not do their job?"
