First direct order from Liv UK – promised 5-7 days, took 3 weeks + appalling support, never again
This was my first time ordering a bike direct from Liv Cycling UK’s website (previous Liv bikes came from local bike shops with no issues). I chose them specifically because their site promises “bike delivery within 5-7 working days” – free, 95% built, minimal assembly needed. Sounded perfect for quick delivery.
Ordered 25 December – nothing in early January, had to chase them last week with vague responses. Finally TNT tracking showed movement, but after depot delays and weekend hold, attempted 12 Jan only for “time constraint” to prevent delivery – parcel returned, no bike. Now mid-January, nearly 3 weeks past the promised window. Massive waste of time: staying home, constant checks, rearranging trav abroad.
Called Rider Support to cancel – they “did” it but gave zero info: no refund timeline, no details on stopping the parcel or what happens next, just “someone will contact you.” No empathy, no offer to fix the broken promise. They literally didn’t care at all, even after I explained the hassle and that other retailers are cheaper and would’ve delivered faster.
Liv lied about their delivery dates (it’s plastered everywhere on the site), then treated a paying customer appallingly. I’ve told them I’ll never buy from Liv/Giant again – direct or otherwise. If you want a reliable women’s bike, skip Liv. Avoid this nightmare. 1 star.
