Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 226 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about unhelpful customer service representatives, excessive phone wait times, and frustratingly long delays when trying to get broken household appliances repaired. Consumers also experienced poor product durability, with major electronics and kitchen appliances malfunctioning shortly after the standard warranty period expired. The minority of people were satisfied with their purchases, noting that certain washing machines and televisions worked well initially. Some reviewers also appreciated exceptional customer support, efficient technician visits, and years of reliable enjoyment from their electronic devices. Buyers noted that specific television models and washing machines met expectations upon arrival.

Buyer Beware of advertised free installation and haul away.

When ordering on LG.com, they state free delivery, installation and haul away. But beware because you have to make sure you order the free installation and haul away. They don’t automatically give it to you and don’t make it clear you have to order the freebies. So when the washer was delivered to my home, they wouldn’t install or haul away. When I called to get it resolved they said the only way is to return the washer and reorder it. Scandalous. They really don’t want to provide this service and figure most people won’t go to the trouble to return and reorder it. This is very poor customer service. So be careful when ordering on their website.

Promesse non mantenute, anni di silenzio e telefono mai restituito/Unkept promises, years of silence, and a phone never returned.

My experience with LG was completely negative in every way and caused me financial loss, stress, and years of wasted time.

Before I delivered the phone for repair, LG explicitly assured me that the device was covered under warranty and that the documentation I had was valid. Based on these assurances, I was forced to travel from Romania to Rome, Italy, incurring significant expense and inconvenience, just to physically deliver the phone to a service center they had designated.

After delivery, LG's position changed completely: I was suddenly informed that I was not under warranty, that the documents presented were "non-compliant," and, in some cases, even questioned, despite having previously been accepted.

No clear explanation, no detailed technical report, no concrete evidence to support these claims.

The worst part is that my phone is still in LG's possession today. It has not been repaired, it has not been replaced, and it has never been returned to me, despite repeated formal requests.

I've sent numerous certified emails, simply asking to speak with a manager or director to resolve the issue in a civil and collaborative manner. I've never received a response.
There's been no communication: no phone calls, no emails, no real contact.

At the same time, every attempt to publicly share my experience has been blocked: I've been banned and blocked from official social media channels, preventing me from sharing my case as a customer.

This isn't customer service, it's not transparency, and it's not respect for the consumer.
I remain open to an amicable solution only if LG finally decides to address the matter, but after years of silence, I feel it's my duty to alert other users of what happened.

If I could give a zero I would

If I could give a zero I would. I paid two fees to LG in 2025 for them to fix both my dishwasher and stove. The dishwasher was leaking and continued to leak after paying their $349 flat fee. Also stove did not work after paying their $349 flat fee. I have messages with the LG service man stating how he ordered a different part or would come and fix the dishwasher as they guarantee 90 day warranty on their repairs…. Which makes sense why he stopped replying after 90 days and never ended up fixing the appliances as promised. Stating within the 90 days that those parts were back ordered. It is a scam. #LG scammed me on instagram if this happened to you because this needs to stop. The only way they will fix my appliances is if pay the $349 fees again for my appliances. If I could include a copy of all the text messages with the LG repair man which I have I would. Do not buy LG!

Appalling Customer Service for 2026

Purchased a new TV last year but didn't get to set it up until Dec 2025, all ready for Xmas. Sadly the TV had a Pink line all the way down one side of the screen which I reported immediately. After a couple of calls that had me take video's and photos and some pointless fault finding exercise that my TV didn't have the software for, I was contacted by another Company/Dept, not sure which, to go through the same exercise, then left to wait for my repair, refund, new TV. Come Jan 19 I had heard nothing. Contacted LG to hear that nothing had been done. Over night I received a message from the unknown Company/Dept to say my repair was cancelled and my TV was BER. Still nothing from LG. I contacted them again, to be put through to the resolutions Dept where I was told I would receive a decision in 2 days - priority. Still no contact from LG. Rang them again, to be told I might have to wait up to 45 days for a refund and 30 days for any other solution and there is no such thing as priority. I asked to be put in touch with a Supervisor, this is apparently against policy. So after contacting LG mid December, the only contact I have had since then has been initiated by myself and I am looking at possibly another 45 days for any resolution, which means the paying guests in my house will also want a partial refund. I explained this to LG and they just kept repeating their scripted response. I will never deal with this company again, its been 7 weeks now and I may have to wait another 6 weeks, who does business like this in modern times?

It is so pathetic that one of the leading brands in the UK couldn’t even deliver a fully working product without any defects. Thank you for wasting my time and effort. I have requested a return anyway. I won’t be purchasing from LG anymore.

From a negative to truly positive experience

My OLED TV began malfunctioning in under three years of ownership, and a technician confirmed that the panel needed to be replaced. After contacting LG Canada and speaking with their team over several calls, they agreed to replace the panel at no cost. While they were not obligated to do so beyond the warranty, I genuinely appreciate the exceptional support and willingness to stand behind their product. LG Canada went above and beyond my expectations, and their service has certainly reinforced my loyalty as a customer. Thank you again, LG Canada.

LX Pantos / LG large appliance delivery

This is concerning LG's delivery service of large appliances, LX Pantos.

The delivery guys Brian and Daryl are hard-working men. They are given a nearly impossible task, make sure the customer is satisfied, make sure the installation is complete, and do it in a reasonable amount of time because you have nine other stops. The situation they encountered on the day of my delivery on the first stop makes their job nearly impossible. And that is likely the situation everyday. This is why reddit and every other social media platform is hating on this delivery service. You have got to reduce the number of stops. Their first stop was a home from the 1950s without proper connection points most likely, and with three appliances delivered there, tackling that job to the requirements above took most of the day. Unless these guys stayed on the job until the next morning, I don't see how they could deliver all those appliances and that means rescheduling. Other good working people are taking days off and being left frustrated and angry. LG needs to insist for their customer satisfaction and retention to help create a better environment. Because reading reviews of this delivery service, I am seeing people angry at LG and not even interested in changing delivery by going through a big box store after this experience. They're not even going to give LG a chance. My experience was I took the whole day and I was the second stop. They got here around 6:00 p.m. I am the one in 50 or 30 reviews that you will see for this delivery service that everything went just fine. That is likely because all I needed was a haul off, and place the new dryer in front of the opening and I will take care of the installation and hookup. I just needed two strong backs and they were done. That is not going to be the majority of the deliveries, so change your policy or accept the anger and disappointment and cancellations.

After LG technician installed the water purifier, my kitchen water pressure became extremely weak. LG customer service ignored 10 calls, refused to arrange inspection, and told me to find my own plumber. No manager allowed, no responsibility taken. Very poor after-sales service and totally disappointing.

Do not buy their dishwasher.

Do not buy their dishwasher.
We purchased this dishwasher directly from the LG official website and had it professionally installed in August last year. During installation, the delivery team left multiple long, deep scratches on our wood floor. They refused to acknowledge the damage or take responsibility, despite the scratches appearing immediately after installation.

About two months later, the dishwasher stopped draining. When we contacted customer support, we were repeatedly transferred between departments, with no one willing to send a technician. One technician eventually told us the dishwasher cannot handle standard store-bought detergent pods (purchased from Costco), which allegedly caused it to stop draining. A dishwasher that cannot handle common detergent pods is unacceptable.

Shortly after, the dishwasher stopped working again. A technician finally came and confirmed that the control panel was dead and needed replacement. Unfortunately, due to poor service coordination, the wrong part was sent, delaying the repair even further.

This happened during Thanksgiving, leaving us without a working dishwasher during the busiest time of the year. The entire process just to replace the defective panel took nearly a month.

Between the property damage, repeated breakdowns, poor product quality, and extremely frustrating customer service, this has been one of the worst appliance experiences we’ve had. LG refused to take responsibility for the floor damage and failed to provide timely or effective support when the product failed.

Poor quality, poor customer support, and a company that avoids accountability. I would not recommend LG appliances.

Feel like being robbed by LG

I ordered a washing machine online from LG UK, and it was stated that delivery covered my area (Philbeach Gardens in London post code SW5 - almost a common knowledge that Victoria style buildings around this area don't usually have lifts).
On the day of delivery, to my surprise , a workman from the delivery company, AIT, said they would only carry the machine to the 3rd floor and refused to move it up one more floor to where my flat situated.
After some discussion, we agreed to carry it to our flat if they're prepared to deliver it to 3/F but then they changed their mind saying that they had a busy schedule that day and in no time off they went with the machine.
I used the word 'surprise' because days before delivery, AIT sent me a link asking me to detail out any special circumstances I wished to alert them about the delivery, I specifically mentioned in my reply the fact that "there was no lift in my building, my flat was on the 4th floor and there would be 64 steps to climb".
Given such messages, they still chose to do the delivery - that's something I just couldn't get my head around it.
Getting back to LG proved to be fruitless either, they said they could deliver it on another date with the same condition, i.e. delivery only to 3rd floor. This time my circumstances had changed, those strong members of my family had left England leaving me ( an old woman) alone to deal with it - to carry it myself was out of the question.
Eventually LG refunded me but deducted £30 as they claimed I had used their service, but what kind of service was that and what benefits had I got?
To the contrary, I was put to lots of trouble, first I was required to disconnect my old one ( which I did) for them to take away and secondly I had waited for the delivery for one whole morning, not to mention the subsequent stress trying to reason with them and all that.
When one comes to think of it, such scenario shouldn't have happened if someone cared enough to read my message responsibly, but now I was being penalised by someone's shoddy job.
In trying to justify their case, a staff member of LG emailed me stating that such rules- only to deliver to 3/F- are set out in clause 6 of their delivery terms and conditions; however, I went through those T&C's from beginning to end on the website from which I made the order and I'm afraid I couldn't find it- not cl 6 and in fact not anywhere in the T&Cs.
Assuming there's such limitation on delivery, I have the following questions:
1)- Why didn't LG bring such important limitation to the attention of the customer well in advance like before they make full payment? If they did so in my case, all this trouble could have been avoided;
2)- When I volunteered information about my flat's special circumstances, why did they still chose to deliver? No delivery, no costs to anybody.
3)- When they were here with the machine and I agreed to bring it to my flat by ourselves, why did the deliverymen turnaround going away with it instead? The matter could have been resolved there and then, everyone would be happy.
Was I being unreasonable in the circumstances? Certainly not! I did my best to have the deal concluded but now I was made to pay £30 for no service, is it not a fair statement - I feel like being robbed?

Having issues with my LG 27MD5KLB which LG claims can be fixed with a firmware update. Unfortunately, the LG update app crashes and makes this impossible. There is likely a workaround using a direct firmware upload, but LG does not provide the firmware file on their website. Customer service did not acknowledge the issue and instead suggested contacting Apple support, ending the chat by giving me Apple’s support phone number. While mildly amusing, it was not helpful at all.

I have purchased two LG refrigerators

I have purchased two LG refrigerators. Actually I’ve purchased one and it was the worst refrigerator I’ve ever had. It makes a lot of noise noises and I replaced several items on the refrigerator instead of buying a new one. My parents built a new home and gave me their old LG. It is just as loud as the first LG. It is a different model and make but it is still very loud. I will never buy another LG appliance. I have learned that LG appliances are not very good and the repair individuals always made sure to let me know to never buy LG appliances. They are the most worked on items.

DON'T BUY LG JUNK

Just spent $700 to replace the compressor on my 9-year old LG refrigerator. This has been the worst refrigerator I have ever been around. After a couple of years the compressor started making random buzzing sounds. It has always cooled well but the ice maker started giving me minor problems after a few years. I will never believe any Consumer Reports reviews ever again.

worst customer service center

I know the timing is bad as my fridge failed on December 30 and I sent the report that evening. The answer was that I will be contacted by a technician within the next 24- 72 hours not to do the repair, but to set up the date for the repair. When they eventually contacted me they failed to answer a simple question about the price of the replacement part. The worst thing? What has failed is the compressor which supposedly has a 10 year guarantee and the appliance is only 4 years old. Well, I still did not get a date for a technician to show up after more than a week. As i learnt they arent honoring the guarantee cases anyway, I hired a local shop to do the repair. I DO not recommend at all LG based on poor quality of product, misleading marketing promises and the worst customer attention service center possible.

Buyer Beware - LG Doesn’t Care (LX Pantos delivery fiasco)

We purchased three LG cooking appliances directly from LG (MVEL2033F over-the-range microwave, WSEP4727F single wall oven, CBGJ3027S gas cooktop) and purchased extended warranties for all. The products may be fine, but the buying and delivery experience has been a complete fiasco.

We experienced five failed delivery attempts and two no call no show failures by LG’s contracted delivery/installation provider, LX Pantos.

Timeline:

12/10: LX Pantos canceled at end of day citing “unforeseen circumstances,” after we waited all day. This cost a full lost workday because schedules were rearranged to be available.

12/15: Delivery canceled at 8:00 am, which strongly suggests it was never genuinely scheduled or intended.

12/19: Worst failure. We watched the tracking as the truck delivered around our local area and skipped our delivery entirely. Zero communication. No call, no text, no email. NO CALL NO SHOW.

12/26: Pacification date; the truck never even left the yard.

01/02/2026: Fifth failed delivery, 2nd NO CALL NO SHOW. Both LG and LX Pantos verified they had the correct address and phone number. LX Pantos stated the products were “on the truck” and that we were scheduled for delivery, and claimed they would text the driver to provide a delivery window. We were also told separately that providing a delivery window was “not possible.” Multiple calls later: no delivery and no communication.

Dishonesty and double-speak:
At one point, LX Pantos told us we would need to cancel and replace our order so LG could assign a different delivery service, which would have caused us to lose Black Friday discounts and incentives. Later, LG stated they “cannot” or “will not” change carriers. Those statements cannot both be true. Either LX Pantos misled us, or LG refused to do what LX Pantos claimed was possible.

Accountability failure:
LG chose LX Pantos and refused to enforce accountability despite repeated failures. The only “solution” LG support offered was essentially, “we could cancel the order.” After weeks of delays and multiple failed deliveries, that response felt like LG dismissing the customer instead of fixing a problem LG created by selecting and retaining this carrier.

Impact:
Cabinetry was modified in anticipation of installing the wall oven, and this process left us without a working oven during the holidays. We lost significant time, rearranged work schedules repeatedly, and received no meaningful follow-through.

Bottom line:
This is not a product quality complaint. It is a warning about LG’s direct-buy fulfillment and support. Buyer beware: LG doesn’t care once they have your money.

I would rate it zero if it was possible

I would rate it zero if it was possible. Bought a £400 monitor which started showing horizontal lines. Called LG and sent photos. They said it is physical damage inside the monitor and cannot repair it free of charge. I argued no physical damage was done and there are no signs on those areas on the outside of the monitor. They said feel free to get report from local engineer. Even if i get a report, it comes to LG's discression end of the day. Told the engineer their monitor is bad quality and wont be buying from LG ever again.

do not buy from LG.com

I placed an order directly on lg.com on December 6 for an 86" LG QNED AI QNED70A 4K Smart TV. The primary reason for ordering directly from LG was to receive the TV before the holidays and before a family gathering. The initial expectation was delivery within about a week.

The TV was not delivered until December 17. When it arrived, the screen was cracked and unusable.

On December 18, I initiated an exchange through LG’s website and followed up by phone, requesting expedited handling since we had no TV in the living room. I was assured multiple times that notes were added and that authorization would take 1–3 days.

Three days later, there was no update. I called again and was told authorization would take up to five days instead. After five more days, there was still no update and no status change online. I called again and was then told that LG did not actually have the model in stock, which explained the lack of progress. At that point, I was informed it could take up to 14 additional days just to confirm availability, followed by more time to schedule delivery with a third-party carrier.

At that stage, I requested to cancel the exchange and proceed with a return instead. I was told the exchange ticket would be closed and a return ticket created. Several days later, I checked the website and saw both tickets marked as closed. I called again and was informed that LG had made a mistake and had created another exchange instead of a return.

I was then told they needed another three days to close the mistakenly created ticket and that I would need to call back again to request the return. I asked to speak with a manager multiple times. I never reached one. I was placed on hold repeatedly, transferred between departments, and spent hours on the phone with no resolution.

This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The process was disorganized, contradictory, and completely lacking ownership. I have been using LG TVs for over 20 years and always trusted the brand. This experience has completely changed my view. I will not purchase directly from LG again.
