My 3 year old £50 Strip Pro 300 rear light now only works in one mode, a not very bright flashing. All advice on resetting or getting out of overdrive has not fixed it. My only reason for choosing it was the really bright flashing mode, so as far as I am concerned it’s now useless.
I reported the issue to Lezyne and they said it must be a hardware failure and as it was out of warranty, I should contact the retailer. It was a present and the retailer is not known.
I have read other accounts of Lezyne hardware failure after a couple of years, so I’m one customer they’ve lost.
I wouldn’t buy leyzene products again. I cycled the great divide and so really relied on quality products. The pump broke after a few uses. They did send a replacement, however this has now broken in a different way after a few used. Their phone holder broke after a few months, and it was a total nightmare trying to get hold of the piece to fix it. Their customer service is OK but not brilliant, and their products are poor quality. Disappointing, really dangerous at times when you reply on these items, and wish I’d chosen more quality items from a different company
I own many lezyne lights over the years, the last one, however, the last purchased, the £80 1200 lumen light, is absolute rubbish. lasting two years, if so, suddenly the light gets very warm, and the battery was making a sound, it almost burned my house down. These products are unsafe, and there is no difference between cheap Chinese lights.
I bought the 130P XL lamp — the light is great, but after maybe four uses, it started to dim whenever the bike hits a bump. Not what I expected from such a product.
I also bought a Lezyne Pocket Drive pump, and it was honestly disappointing. It fell apart after the first use. I couldn’t really use it properly because it has to be screwed onto the valve, and when unscrewing it, the valve core often comes out with it. The valve is also from Lezyne. After a single inflation, the valve becomes unstable and starts leaking air even with a slight touch.
Very poor experience overall definitely not buying from them again.
The battery in my Lezyne 800XL Bike LED was defective.
My own fault, because it hadn't been charged for a year.
I took it apart and bought a new battery from Lezyne.
Delivered quickly, installed, and the light was like new again.
Great service Lezyne, thank you.
The best customer service ever! Immediate help and shipping.
front and rear light set, 400XL. Still going strong after 3 years light use (100 hours per year). Durable, easy to use. They take a while to charge up to full now that the batteries are getting older. I dont understand why other cyclists dont use a light to enhance safety, who knows perhaps this cheap set has already saved me from a prang.
Purchased a Lezyne Lite Drive 1000 Lumen (max) front lite for my bike. Ordered through Amazon and had bit of a wait for delivery. Once received after charging light comes on for a split second then dies. Now have to go through the rigmarole of waiting for, what is a lot of money for a light, and the hassle of having to return the product. Do they have no quality control? If they tested the lights adequately after production this wouldn't happen. If the light, which seems well packaged, can't withstand the possible rigours of being transported, it is not suitable to be fitted on my mountain bike. Extremely disappointed, particularly following the glowing reviews by the likes of Which magazine.
I have been using a Lezyne SuperPro GPS unit for over 3 years now. I found that the Lezyne products fit into my cycling budget and had the features that I needed for my training. They have worked flawlessly for my purposes! They have a ton of user manuals and technical information on their website to take you through setting up the unit step by step.
Lezyne have proven themselves time after time with their customer service. They respond quickly and efficiently to chats and emails to the service desk. When they don't, they hold themselves accountable. I have had to send back my unit twice for a broken GPS mount ( the one ON the back of the unit) and they have gladly replaced this part in a quick turnaround time. I am an animal when it comes to tightening bolts and putting parts together. I break stuff. I was twisting too hard and not pushing town enough. My fault...twice. All I needed to pay was shipping to CA.
On my last return, I did have some issues with the unit as it was not registering my sensors. I contacted Lezyne about this and was quite surprised I was not hearing back from them quickly. I sent multiple emails and it was so strange that I was not hearing back from Andre within 24 hours. As it turned out, the messages were getting hung up in their system (ZenDesk?). When Andre finally got through to me, he apologized profusely and sent me a new unit for my troubles. Now THAT is customer service!!
I cannot recommend this company enough! Highly recommended
I've had a few Lezyne products over the years, and I'm kind of shocked at the reviews I see here. The most expensive item is their CNC Floor Drive pump. It's awesome. The only problem was that the seals went out pretty fast. I liked it so much that I was willing to pay for new ones, so I emailed them and asked if they had any around I could order. They didn't just send the ones I needed, they sent the entire set, and they didn't charge me.
I have the Classic Drive 700XL light as well. I like it a lot. I worry that the rubber strap will tear, because I have to undo it every time I remove the light, but I've had it for just under a year and it's holding up just fine so far. Light still holds a charge for a long time as well.
I like the CNC stuff they do and I feel like their products are a high enough quality that they're well worth the price. It's a bummer that not everybody on here has had a similar experience with them.
I bought a new XL1300 light from an Ebay seller who sold bike parts the light had production/use issues ie. heat marks on it. The seller was helpful but could not replace it so I contacted Lezyne directly hoping they would inspect and replace it. They led me on saying it would take time as they were in the US and kept saying they were trying to find a replacement but 10 weeks later they have done nothing at all not even wanting to identify a possible safety issue. Useless customer service coupled with excuses and fobbing off.
I have both a front and rear light. 115 pro front and a K 1399 (probably). I have been using them for a while now and it is probably the worst products I have ever had, all categories included. It takes far longer to charge them than it does to use up the power. I have a one hour ride to work and that is their max. 'live' time, if I run into bad weather or other things that delays me I run out of light, even at the lowest output. They are so unbelievable far from what is promised, that I will not recommend this brand to anyone.
I had a Lezyne Control Drive CO2 inflator that started to leak after a couple uses. Sent Lezyne a message, and right away a replacement was in the mail. THANKS LEZYNE!
Right after the warranty period the charging point of my lamp Lezyne 1500XL overdrive broke, because it was right after the warranty period, I couldn't get a new one and had a lamp that is still good but only the charging point not. Climate destroying company that only wants to make profit and not care about recycling etc. . I will never buy any products from Lezyne anymore.
Lezyne 450XL.
This expensive bike front light stopped charging/turning on after 2 years of very light use. Just outside the (dubious anyway) warranty. Definitely won't be buying ANY Lezyne product again.
Bought a Lezyne Deca Drive 1500i December 2017. After charging it 4 times the mini-hdmi plug loosened from the light preventing further charging. Upon filing a claim to distributor and Lezyne this was diagnosed as "Accidental damage", which Lezyne will not cover. Knowing that I have not misused the item in any way, I find it unfair, that Lezyne would not even inspect the item before calling the judgement.
I purchased a Super GPS Y10 unit with heart rate monitor and speed/cadence sensor. The unit itself seems fine but the sensors are extremely poor quality. The HR monitor worked for a month before ceasing to function and the speed cadance sensor managed little better. To make ,matters worse the customer service requires you to send everything back to them...even when only the HR sensor wasn't working. 3 months later I get the gear back, its all the same gear with the HR strap replaced and the problem is not resolved. Now I'm back to square one.
