DELIVERED BED BUG COUCH, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

DO NOT PURCHASE AS THEY WONT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE AND WILL IGNORE YOU IF ITS ABOUT A COMPLAINT.
***I purchased a couch from Leons Hamilton, but it was shipped from Leons Burlington.
I purchased a couch from Leon’s, which was delivered on March 8. Shortly after delivery, we began experiencing bed bug bites, which have been isolated exclusively to use of the couch. There have been no signs of bed bugs on any other furniture or areas within the apartment. We moved into this apartment approximately two months prior to the delivery and had no prior issues with pests.
A licensed pest control inspection has confirmed that the source of the bed bugs is the couch. Additionally, at the time of delivery, my partner observed that the delivery truck contained other furniture that was uncovered, raising concerns about contamination. The delivery personnel also failed to properly assemble the couch as required, which suggests negligence and may explain how the infestation was overlooked.
Furthermore, the manager of the Leons Hamilton store that we purchased the couch from has mentioned to us that the delivery was not completed properly. Based on the timing, expert report, and absence of any prior infestation, it is clear that the bed bugs originated from the couch delivered by Leon’s.
Leons refuses to take any responsibility and they also did not take our matter seriously as they avoided our phone calls and kept telling us home office will call us back which they never did. It was after about 5 days of persistence that we finally were able to talk to someone from home office, and all they said was that since the issue is only with us and no one else has complained, they refuse to take responsibility. We have warranty for the couch and even bought a TV from Leons. We spent a lot of money and its so sad a multi million dollar company can't be bothered to own up to their mistakes. A lot of money went down the drain, never again. (we bought a sectional couch). Our biggest mistake was reporting this issue late as we truly trusted Leon's would not sell a defective new product. Now me and my partner are paying for our mistakes of reporting this issue late.

Stay far far away from Leon's

Stay far far away from Leon's. The worst furniture store ive ever been. My 85 year mother is completely dissatisfied with Leon's. She purchased a refrigerator October 2025. At delivery of the new fridge, they will take the old refrigerator with them. After the old refrigerator was disconnected they dragged, yes the dragged the old refrigerator across the hardwood floors from the kitchen down the hallway through the dining room to the 7 steps leading to the front foyer. All the hardwood floors are damaged and half the oak steps at the foyer. After complaining about what happened. They started an investigation. Once complete they spoke to my brother saying they would pay for the damages. All this took months. And this week a representative from the claims department call my brother and told him that, now, they will NOT pay for any damages. I can't believe that they won't take accountability for their actions.

Lose peace of mind with Leon's Platinum Service

Tagline says: Enjoy peach of Mind with your new furniture purchased from Leon's. I purchased Leon’s Platinum Complete Furniture Protection expecting peace of mind, but unfortunately the experience has been the opposite and disappointing.

When I contacted customer service about an issue with my sofa (less than 3 years old), I felt the conversation was guided in a way that led to denial rather than support. I was asked for a specific incident date for a stain and, not knowing there was a strict reporting window. There were multiple types of stains. I started with a chronological order. Had I known they would only look into the one that has occurred in 21 days, I would have logged in the recent date. Only then was I told the claim would not be covered.

What’s more concerning is that there is now (yesterday) a powdery substance coming from the sofa, which appears to be a material or structural issue—not normal wear and tear. Despite this, the focus remained on denying coverage rather than investigating the problem.

I was also asked to submit multiple photos which was only probably to prevent me from making another claim.
Joke of the day was them asking me to have it professionally cleaned and then report to them if there is a new stain. Probably for a new strategy of saying, since someone else cleaned, we cant. What ridiculous cheating!

This protection plan was sold as comprehensive coverage, but in practice it feels like technicalities are used to avoid honoring claims. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this plan to carefully review the fine print and be cautious.

I expected accountability and support, but this experience has left me questioning the value and integrity of the service.

My experience was wonderful with Craig…

My experience was wonderful with Craig at the Hamilton location.My husband and I were just coming in to purchase a couch. Nothing fancy we purchased the couch that was on the for sale room
And he treated us as if we were buying a $7000 couch. He was informative, thoughtful, eager to give us information that was required even if it was us a sale couch. He was friendly, very intellectual about the product and my husband and I could not have had a happier experience with Leon’s people like Craig. Leon’s will repeat business of Craig, We will continue shopping at Leon’s and when we get there, we will ask when he was in and will specifically ask for him. Thank u Craig for an excellent service!!! Thank u Leon’s for having a person like Craig.

1 star because zero isn't an option

1 star because zero isn't an option. Pathetic . The sales rep kept hovering when I told her to leave us alone, lied TWICE at the sale, and the customer service is the worst I've ever seen. Wanted to buy a mattress and boxspring. Sales rep suggested a mattress protector - told me and my wife "it's 50 bucks". After I see on the bill, $149. I go back to confront them and she flat out lies, claiming she never said that. None the less, I demanded that money back and got the refund. Then the box. I asked for a boxspring and got an empty frame - no springs. Not what I wanted. For a WEEK NOW, it's back and forth with customer service about returning it. "Oh, it has springs," - no it doesn't. They sent the wrong one. "We know it's SKU# XXXXXX" - no, it's not. "send us a picture" - pictures sent of the tags, the SKU (which is different) and the box itself. "We can't tell if its the right one, send us more pictures". All I get are excuses from these fools who, I suspect are trying to frustrate me in the hopes I'll give up and keep the damn thing. Not a chance. Stay away from Leons. It's not like it was 20 years ago. They absolutely suck now.

Overpriced furniture with disappointing…

Overpriced furniture with disappointing quality. The delivery process was poorly managed, and communication was rude and unprofessional. Customer service was unhelpful when issues arose. Overall, a frustrating experience. I would not recommend buying from this company.

Good customer service

Your sales associate Hayden Atkinson at the Chatham store made my experience pleasant. It's the first time I have purchased from Leon's. He is a very personable person and an asset to your store.
I told him what I was looking for and he helped me with my purchase. I definitely will be back for future furniture purchases.

A very satisfied purchase at Leon's.The sales lady ( Paula ) at the Leon's…

The sales lady ( Paula ) at the Leon's New Market store was very helpful to take our phone request from Windsor to buy a specific loveseat they had in stock. Paula returned our call and made the arragements for the purchase and storage until we could pick the loveseat up in the spring to take to our cottage.
Overall the purchase transaction was very professional!

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. I've been a Leon's customer for many years. Whenever I can, I always buy Canadian. I purchased two queen size mattresses totalling $2000 delivered on January 20, 2026
upon removing the plastic, one of the mattresses had a slash on the bottom. I notified Leon's  immediately of the damages. I sent photos as requested and was told it would take a couple of days and no one ever called me back. I followed up and we were accused of slashing the mattress ourselves. I was completely outraged and requested to speak to a manager. I spoke with someone by the name of Derek whose solution was to purchase something from Amazon to cover the damage. I can't believe the incompetence and poor customer service from Leon's employees. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and the one time I have an issue I was accused of causing the damage. I would never spend my hard earned money with Leon's again nor recommend anyone to purchase from there because they don't honour their warranty. BUYER BEWARE.

As a Canadian citizen

As a Canadian citizen, I want to warn everyone who plans to shop at Leon’s to be very careful. This store has virtually no return policy, especially for electronic items. I bought a TV for $3,000, and it burned out in less than a month. When I contacted Leon’s, they told me it was not their responsibility and that I should contact LG. I contacted LG, and after a week someone came to check the TV, but he didn’t know what he was doing and just left. The problem is still unresolved.

After paying $3,000, I am left without a TV. LG is also not taking responsibility. I even purchased an extended warranty for the TV, but it was completely useless. On top of that, LG’s after-sales service is just a small shop on a downtown street, and they don’t provide proper answers or support either.**

The first Chair I bought Jan 10 26 was…

The first Chair I bought Jan 10 26 was so bad I could not sit in it for more than 10 min ..but I did not complained about it, it was a cheap one for 448.- I picked it up my self
the second one Jan 21 26 cost 850.- and was delivered to my House
the Driver was very inexperienced and smashed … , hit my Flower pots and Lights at the entrance
a Truck had to pull him out ..it is a long Driveway and I did not see the damage he had cost, and he did not tell me , put one of my next door people saw it all happening.
the damage is more than the cheap Chair they delivered.. and the Service department from Leon’s is not helpful at all. Just making dump comments

Fraud level deception

I ordered 4 barstools 3 months ago and was told it would be 2 weeks until they were ready. 3 months later and still no barstools. Their customer service phone line tells you to leave a message which they never respond to. Actual fraud levels much less garbage service. Do yourself a favour and never even enter the store.

No refund No chair

Ordered a Chair in September 2025, I have No Chair and No Refund. I was continually lied to saying the product was in Canada(Nov 2025) then told it was enroute to the store via transport. Mon Jan 12/25
was told refunds could only be done on Fridays..Jan 20/25 still NO REFUND. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

don't pay money to get bad attitude

My experience to pickup online order Brampton was bad. Not sure what happen in one year to this shop. Last year my experience was great buying living room furniture's.
I will not recommend to pay to any shop to get bed attitude or bad customer services.

This shop should be closed down! Save your money, their furniture isn’t Canadien made… my sofa came from Vietnam!
Somewhat after 4 months, cushions sank.. Replacement cushions were were 3 inches less thick!!! After a 7 month wait. Seriously DO NOT BUY here… read the reviews..Not all their furniture is Canadien made, and is very poorly made ..
I am now taking action big time! I ask others to join me and report to the BBB and consumer rights…
Enough already. Too many complaints being ignored .
Update … contacted bbb and got a full refund within weeks of them stepping in.

Left my floors a mess

I had a fireplace delivered on a wet slushy day. I have wood floors at the entrance of the door all the way to the basement where the fireplace was delivered. Nothing was put down on my floors. They brought in a trolly all the way down to the basement. My flores where a mess and especially the main floor which is dark wood was left with salt marks that were very hard to clean. I did leave a review with Leons and Cris called me but left a message to call him. When I did, I was told he wasn't in ( 5 min after he called me). I left a message with the receptionist to have him call me. Still waiting !! Obviously Cris does not care. Will never use Leons delivery again.
