Buyer's beware!

Buyer's beware!

I bought a new build apartment from Lendlease in the Green Quarter in 2013 and was informed at the beginning of 2018 that it had the same type of cladding as Grenfell! Once that had been removed, we were then told in 2021 we needed to pay further bills of approx £30k to resolve problems with insulation, missing cavity barriers and flammable balconies. Lendlease have not yet come forward to fund the remediation of these defects.

We've been unable to remortgage or sell our properties during this whole ordeal.

Beware, you might be their next victim

Buyers, think twice before dealing with this company’s products.
I bought a flat in Vallea Cort, their building in Greenquarter area of Manchester in 2011. I dealt with a flood caused by a burst communal pope TWICE in 2012 but I didn’t then realise that the worst was to come.
Following Grenfell Tower fire it became apparent that the building was flammable. When thanks to an effort by my fellow residents, local and national media, insurers and city council the cladding was finally replaced about a year ago, I thought that the nightmare was over. Not for long! Soon after, we all learnt that the level of safety deficiencies was so great, that in spite of initial cladding works we are still facing YEARS of extra work and facing in excess of £30,000 bills per flat!
This company never apologised, admitted liability or just supported us. Instead, they still do business. Big money business.
Beware potential buyers or investors - you might be next.

LENDLEASE - Do the right thing!!

I own an apartment in Vallea court and our lives are on hold.Lendlease were the developers behind the entire Green Quarter development in Manchester, and all blocks have fire safety issues from the time of construction, How can they be allowed to sell us a fire trap!!!. Lendlease have now deserted us leaving us to face huge bills. There have already been fires in high rise apartment blocks and if this is not resolved ethically by Lendlease and let people's lives resume- there will be another disaster and this will be the least of Lendlease's worries.
Lendlease need to restify their unsafe building and restore customer confidence, at no cost to the innocent purchasers.

Unsafe buildings, buyer beware.

I am a state school teacher and own an apartment in Vallea Court, Green Quarter, Manchester, UK, which was developed by Lendlease. Our flammable cladding was replaced May 2020, but we now face a second wave of work to make the building safe to live in. My life is on hold for yet another indeterminate number of years paying for this work whilst Lendlease earn millions upon millions in current projects. Immoral doesn't seem to cut it.

Utterly immoral and disgustuing company…

Utterly immoral and disgustuing company which has profited enormously from development contracts in the Manchester area and yet has left the powerless leaseholders of Vallea Court and Cypress Place in the Green Quarter facing bankruptcy as a result of their un-safe work and the Cladding Tragedy repercussions. SHAME ON LENDLEASE

Corrupt Lendlease

Lendlease were the developers behind the entire Green Quarter development in Manchester, and all blocks have fire safety issues from the time of construction.

Lendlease have many lucrative contracts around Manchester, and beyond, yet fail to put right their wrong and instead are happy to bankrupt innocent leaseholders.

In the post Grenfell world, its inexcuseable for developers like Lendlease to not rectify their unsafe buildings. At no cost to the innocent party.
