We are very sorry that you feel this way about Leetchi.
As explained last week, we considered other procedures to help you spend your money pot, but none of them complied with our regulations.
In fact, we only authorise transfers in the SEPA zone (zone using the IBAN) as indicated in our GTCs and our help service.
So the two solutions proposed by my colleague by email are the only ones that can be considered.

The worst customer service!!!

The worst customer service!!!! If I could give here zero stars or -0 stars I would!!! I am horrified!!! My money has been stuck for 1 month, I’ve written 6 times and NO ONE REPLIED!!! My account is confirmed and everything is Cristal clear, but it’s been a month and they don’t allow me to use the money and don’t even reply WHY !!! I read here that everyone has the same problem!!! Unacceptable !!!!

6% Commission between 100-10k is TOO MUCH

6% Commission! I have 2 Moneypots in progress, I will never be using Leetchi again. This was hugely increased. Insane and disappointing. I used Leetchi for ages and the amounts were reasonable. I'm super disappointed I am paying in fees the average contribution for a gift.

I will go back to just collecting money to avoid these fees.

Honestly IT IS THE WORST SERVICE

Honestly, stay away from this Service!!!!
They promise the money transfer in 48 hours but actually this is not true.
I have asked some many times for a support from the customer service but they disappeared for days.
They do not have a phone line to contact, you can only reach out by email or form, but you'll need to wait an eternity with no concrete support.

I have no idea when I will get my money in account at this point, it seems like the money are lost somewhere...
I feel bad because I thought this was a good and reliable service.

If I won't have a solution in a couple of days I will be forced to report this.

Do not ever user this for money collect.

All documents must have been asked BEFORE accepting the money, and NOT after!

Since October 2023, as the treasurer of the Perisher, I have been desperately trying to retrieve the money to cover the church's lawyer's expenses (La paroisse saints Pantéleimon et Nicolas). We thought using leetchi.fr would be a transparent way for your parishioners to collect funds; unfortunately, the website repeatedly asks for the same documentation, even though every required document was submitted .... for FOUR months. We find this practice unacceptable! In addition to repeatedly asking for the same papers and CHARGING US 5 euros per month for not emptying the account. If it continues this way, to our greatest regret, we will be pushed to file an official complaint in Luxembourg where the company has been registered au Registre du commerce et des sociétés de Luxembourg sous le numéro B173459 et dont le n° de TVA est LU 25939145).
I understand your goodwill to check the credibility of the transfer's destination. BUT! All these documents must have been asked BEFORE accepting the money, and NOT after. And, indeed, the clients are not charged for the oversights in the system. This is unacceptable.

We regret that your experience was not entirely satisfactory.
As a crowdfunding intermediary subject to legal obligations, we have to check the funds raised before they are spent.
In simple terms, these obligations aim to ensure that the purpose of the fund is consistent with the destination of the funds collected. In order to carry out these checks, our compliance department has the latitude to ensure that the donations are being used for the intended purpose, by requesting the necessary supporting documents from the money pot creators before the funds are disbursed.
As a reminder, these checks are backed up by bodies such as the ACPR and the DGCCRF, which ensure that we apply them rigorously (on pain of penalties). So none of this is aimed at you personally.

Thank you for your reply. My colleague got back to you yesterday and the transfer has been validated, please allow 48 hours for the funds to be received.

I cannot retrieve the money back. I did several times the bank transfer and I have always got an email that the operation will be process soon. However I tried several times since 2 months and nothing. I wrote 5 times to the assistance (web link service) but I did not received any answer!!
However I received the messages that they reduce the amount of my pocket because I am not spending it!!!!! Terrible service. I was not expecting all these problems.

I cannot retrieve the money back, the transaction has been blocked since 31/1 and I cannot enter the help desk. For all the money spent (4%) on the transfer, I was not expecting all these problems.

Why, Oh why did I use Leetchi? Well, I used it because I thought it might be convenient... Contributions are of an astonishing facility; retrieving one's 96% of the sum collected and, in my case, spent is exactly the opposite. Go ask Alice...

Impossible to get money out!

Update:
Leetchi contacted me with apologises and claimed they working on it. The bank transfer was again refused with no explanation. There is no contact with them. The phone does not work. It seems that 2500euro is gone and leetchi does not want to release it.

I was advised by coworker to use this website for money raising for a good cause
I closed the money pot. In order to be quicker and manage everything on leave I have lent my own money and bought the goods that the raise was for.
My ID is verified but still it seems to be impossible to get money transferred, each time the transfer is being refused, in no-reply email it seems that they want an official bank documents but there is no way to upload it. So far I tried two times and a third time with another bank account. It’s easy to open the money pot, but transferring the money is a nightmare even though I pay 80 euro fee.
I sent three emails to their help and to the service desk with the details of bank account, so will see. If this time transfer is again refused, I will ask our legal team to help as it seems we will never get money back and this website is a scam.
Learn on my mistakes and AVOID! Not worth the hassle and you can loose your money.

REFUSAL OF PAYING OUT MONEY POT

I have been struggeling since the end of June to get my money back - without any success - and nice talking customer support that did not lead to any solution to this problem. As leetchi.com has all the neccessary proof, why don't they just pay. This site cannot be recomended to anybody. Well, collecting money works perfect, getting your money back seems to be a really big problem.

Update: Collegue Rose did not take care about the issue after I emailed her for the second time the relevant documents in order to unblock the payment. And frankly I did not like her tone in that particular email. Would you please hand the problem over to a colleague that will solve the issue ?

DO NOT USE LEETCHI

DO NOT USE LEETCHI - THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!!

I created a profile on Leetchi couple of weeks ago. I immediately validated my email address and uploaded my passport, getting my profile verified.

At the moment of getting the money transferred from the money pot to my bank account, it comes trouble. Two days after ordering the transfer, I receive an email telling me that "You bank transfer has been refused as your money pot is subject to fraudulent activities and is now closed".

I tried calling the customer support number at the bottom of the email, only to discover that the number DOES NOT EXIST. No reply to any of my emails.

That's a pure SCAM, you guys are THIEFS. Give me my money back.

How complicated is it to transfer money that doesn't belong to you????

We are a non profit organisation for children with special needs. Someone did a sportive performance to support us and created a cagnotte LEETCHI. That was back in March 2022. Since then, we are desperately trying to get our money. The creator of the cagnotte and ourselves provided all relevant information several times. I am struggling to find an admissible reason why Leetchi is keeping money that does not belong to it but rather to handicapped children and how come their so-called customer service is of literally no help. How bad is that in terms of customer trust????

This must be a scam.

This must be a scam.

I have been trying for more than 2 months to get the money out a money pot my colleagues created for me. After multiple emails and responsive customer service to start with, I supplied all the required details (multiple times) and have now been ignored for weeks as I chase this.

I am contacting their complaints department and will be contacting the financial regulator as this is completely unacceptable and they should not be allowed to trade.

Can’t verify email and photo ID

I have a money pot to use but the web doesn’t not seem to be accepting my ID verification. It keeps saying upload ID and when I do it comes back to the square one. My email doesn’t get verified either. I sent an email to the agent but did not get any acknowledgment notification so I am not even sure if my message has been received by anyone who is going to look into it.
I see my gift and it’s entire stuck there on Leetchi.
Pretty bad.

DISAPPOINTED

DISAPPOINTED! I should have read all the reviews before creating a money pot using their website. I am requesting a bank transfer for my money pot, and each time I get an email telling me it was unsuccessful. I tried to call and email, but no answer. My profile is verified but for some reason, the transfer does not work. They don't answer or try to help! I do not recommend and will make sure more people know about their horrible service. I want to receive my money!!!!

As a financial institution subject to legal obligations and (above all) under the control of approved bodies, we check the kitty funds hosted on our platform. These checks cover both incoming transactions (contributions) and outgoing transactions (transfers). As such, we need certain documents to justify the spending of your money pot.

Disgraceful, harmful business practices

This company's total lack of ethics and abysmal customer service is reprehensible.

56 of my friends and colleagues donated via Leetchi to help families in need. After following Leetchi's instructions for transfer and countless, exhausting appeals to the company, our contributions have been locked and undisbursed for 6 weeks. Leetchi's own claim that it will take 48 hours to transfer funds is a complete and total lie.

After providing additional information requested by Leetchi to process the money transfer, there has been absolutely no reply regarding the status of the transfer -- now SIX WEEKS on. My colleague in charge of the 'money pot' has called Leetchi customer service multiple times with NO ANSWER. She has sent >10 emails with NO REPLY.

As Leetchi shamelessly refuses to engage, people generous contributions are held in a black hole and families in need go without. Shameful in the extreme.

I should have looked at the previous comments

2nd of February: I should have looked at the previous reviews before using Leetchi. Like previous users, I have had my colleagues to add money to the pot, but I am not able to spend it as my ID has not been verified. Their website is completely useless and does not let me add or modify any more documents. Even thought I have already added my passport a month ago. Customer support is not reachable.

UPDATE -
17th of February: After posting this review, I got an email from their team stating that they were working on it, and they will come back to me “as soon as possible”. The email was in French and it clearly says that I should not reply to it as it will take longer for them to process my request… It has been more than 2 weeks since this email, and I still haven’t heard back from them.

2nd of March: It has been a month now and I still haven't heard anything back from them. I think this is now the right time to consider the money pot being lost. This was a waste. I sincerely hope it will not happen to anyone else.

10st of March: Got my money back!

So bad you wonder if it's a scam. (Edit: It's not/ Sorted)

Hi,
This is the worst experience of Customer service I have encountered so far. Simply put it's inexistent.
I have tried for 2 weeks to transfer the funds from the money pot and still waiting.
When trying to contact them, the UK number is not working. Via email, they do not answer back, Via the Online form, they do not reply. Via the French number, you get disconnected every 5 min and have to try again...
Being Busy is not an excuse. Every company and customers are.
It is so bad that I started to look if it was a scam. It's appalling and I have run out of ideas to try to contact them. Obviously I won't give up to try to collect this money and if somehow I do get it back, I will ensure to send an update here...

Update. I have received the funds.
I wish Leetchy would find a way to improve the speed of their Customer Service and a way to keep track of any issues. It was frustrating to be told "Funds being transferred" and nothing was happening for too long. In the end, the customer Service team finally looked into the issue and handled it. it's all sorted and they could easily get 5 starts if not for theses delays at communicating with customers.
