You want to use a shop for any care equipment that you know they have a very high standard of understanding of the very conditions that may lead them to the shop.

I seen the incident where an elderly lady had a fall and when asked it they had a chair she could sit on.
The person in this so called disabled equipment shop said they had no chair.

How can you work or own a shop all about care equipment then refuse a seat to help out one of the most vulnerable members of the community and a possible future customer.
Well that is if there were decent enough to assist her in front of the shocked people who were trying to help the lady.

Rude and unhelpful. AVOID!

The owner of this business has an appalling attitude. An elderly lady fell directly outside this shop while on their way to purchase from them. The owner rudely refused to provide any assistance - only a chair was requested and this is a business that is meant to support the elderly and vulnerable. I have heard of poor service from here before and that the owner is only interested in earning money of the back of the elderly and disabled however to experience it first-hand has made me write this review. Please read all the reviews here and on google of this company there are so many stating how rude or unhelpful.

The perfect wheelchair

Lea Valley mobility had a good variety of wheelchairs in stock, so we could try each one for size and comfort - so much better than trying to buy online. They also gave us very good advice about the different features and styles available. We eventually chose a size that wasn't in stock so it was ordered and arrived swiftly. The wheelchair was put together for us - again preferable to buying online - and they posted the manual to us, arriving the next day.

DO NOT USE THIS- COMPANY COUNTY COURT…

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY COUNTY COURT JUDGEMENT AGAINST THEM
I paid £1,400 for a special chair for my 87 year old dad, he needed it as his mobility was getting very poor. The company did not deliver I asked them to either deliver a chair or provide a refund. The did not deliver it so I asked for a refund, they refused, I sent a formal letter of complaint which hey ignored. I sent them advice I had received from both trading standards and Citizens Advice, they ignored this and continued to refuse a refund, I warned them I would take them to court, they ignored the warning. I took them to court in the meantime my father passed away with the benefit of having the chair he wanted as the money was still held by Lea Valley Mobility. 18 months later the court issued a judgement against them to pay me back in full plus court costs. The Managing Director did not care about my dad nor did he show any sympathy. The company took advantage of my elderly father and didn't care yet they are in the business of supporting elderly and vulnerable people, our concern as a family is that other people who buy equipment could be taken advantage of and not know the legal route, plus it is expensive and takes a long time.
