Very aggressive, rude and bullying towards disabled students especially the finance department

Very bad experience, I came from Pakistan and their level of quality was next level, my main motive for coming here is the professional education and practical skills which are not available and i don't know why they merged Cybersecurity degree modules with the business that makes no sense at all. No facilities available (no ground, societies, shops). If i talk about the fee they pressurize students to submit whole fee in the 1st semester. Teachers mostly read slides and give activities for 1 hour instead of taking to dedicated lab for cyber simulations. Module leaders are very rude (don't know why). If we ask questions they don't like it. I asked a question during the lecture "related to a business environment" they said just Google it. If you are coming from Pakistan than i highly recommend you to go to NUST, FAST or Comsats for a proper degree.

The quality of teaching and materials at UOL is first class and helped me become one of the 41% of participants who passed SQE1 in July 2025.
Further, their support helped me pass in the first quintile.
I highly recommend their academic capability.
Honestly, I would have given them a 5* rating had it not been for the fact that the admin team regularly lets down the tutors.
Communications are missed or late and students often have to ”self-help” one another to find their way through the process.
The whole operations team and systems need serious review -
But the ability to educate students in the Law is faultless!

I enjoy being a part of ULaw because they truly want to make studying law a positive experience for every type of student, be it undergraduate or postgraduate. Having said that, I think ULaw is still on the journey towards utilising all types of students to attract more students for their courses. Although I have the passion to be of use as a Student Ambassador, I feel like a sitting duck because none of the opportunities, as of yet, have matched with my availability.
By this I mean, ULaw provides courses suitable for part time weekend students and part time evening students but it's harder to engage in opportunities where we can share our experiences because majority of students in my cohort work from Monday to Friday. For example, I can never attend open days during the week or present at online functions before 5pm because of work. As a result, I appear as a sort of 'silent' student ambassador because I haven't had the chance to truly make an impact.
I think if ULaw considered more channels of engagement or perhaps a varied range of online events then they could see a greater impact from student ambassadors like myself which could then positively impact the recruitment of new students! For example, having more online events that take place in the evening (6pm-8pm) or even having more roles linked to online platforms could lead to a such a greater result! Perhaps having a monitored student forum where ambassadors regularly clock in to share experiences or even more student blog posts to document new experiences and learning curves could be examples of this!
I'm an LPC student so I understand that my course is dying out but I don't think it's a reason to undermine all my other experiences at ULaw! Ultimately, the team is wonderful to work with, all information is communicated with me clearly, I just wish there were more opportunities tailored to part time students who don't have the same availability as full time students!

I was lucky enough to spend two years as a Student Ambassador at ULaw's Leeds Campus and it is no exaggeration to say that I loved the experience and found it so valuable. The team I worked with are absolutely fantastic and the events that I worked sparked a lot of interest in vistors. These events required lots of discussion that covered subjects taught at the university, in addition to networking and sharing my personal experiences as an undergraduate student which I found incredibly stimulating and rewarding. Student Ambassadors play a key role in making university feel more accessible, and I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to play a small role in the recruitment of students.

THE ENROLMENT CUSTOMER SERVICE IN STUDENT ADMISSIONS & FINANCE IS VERY BAD. ALL YOU GET IS BEING BOUNCED FROM ONE TEAM TO THE OTHER. NO ONE TAKES OWNERSHIP OR GIVES ANY ADVICE TO HELP RESOLVE YOUR ISSUES/QUERIES. IN ESSENCE, ALL NUMBERS YOU CALL GO TO A CALL CENTRE IN INDIA that HAVE A STOCK ANSWER WHICH IS to CONTACT THE OTHER DEPARTMENT. WHEN YOU DO GET RESPONSES, THEY ARE GENERIC EMAIL TEMPLATES THAT DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SPECIFIC QUERY.

Worst university to choose in uk, don't go for it, no staff support, waste of time

I’m so stressed with reading so many negative reviews and ULaw haven’t done anything to address the comments, no feedback or acknowledgment, which really is poor. I haven’t even started my online course and already I have experienced lack of communication, lack of support and lack of instruction. To make matters worse I’ve read that I will be liable for some of the course fees if I pull out of studying with them, despite the course not having started yet. I struggle with my health as it is and the way I feel I have been discarded is already having a major impact on my health, to be honest it’s pushing me into quite a dark place. ULaw outsource their calls, you end up talking to someone from overseas who just can’t help you due to lack of understanding the importance of your call, the education advisors are also contracted and aren’t from the ULaw, they don’t return your calls and you are constantly going round and around, call centre, told Ed Advisor will call, no call back, back to call centre, and this cycle continues. Honestly I haven’t even started and I’ve cried so much, it is supposed to be one of the happiest times in my life to progress to postgraduate study and I feel helpless, hopeless and manipulated and exploited by ULaw, They have trapped me and there is nothing I can do about it. I won’t be adding my student ID here because I don’t want them to fail me in my postgrad which I have no choice but to continue with them as I can’t afford to pay them for part of the course which I haven’t even started yet.

If I could give them zero I would. Absolute joke during the application process which for some reason lasted 3 MONTHS they weren’t organised enough to actually know what was going on. After providing all my information and meeting the requirements for the course they were more useless than ever before as they still weren’t sure if I had sent them the right stuff as if I’m stupid. The interview process was made specifically clear that it would not be judged based on legal skills rather it would be a simple advocacy process. It later turns out that it was but they deliberately chose not to say anything. They have been conniving against me for some reason from the start as they initially made lies about waiting to receive a reference letter from my referee when in fact they had never sent a request. Absolute waste of time, if they didn’t want me they shouldn’t have shown in interest and dragged it on for the best part of 3 Months.

Worst university EVER. I wish there was an option to give it -10 stars because it clearly does not deserve any more than that.
What I hate most about it is the lack of support and clear communication. They have so many designated teams for every department and encourage students to contact them with any query, yet, they never answer calls or get back to your emails in time and when they do all they have to say is "I'm sorry I cannot help you with this please contact xyz department" or they give such vague responses that I feel like pulling my hair. What is the use of so many contact lines when students don't even get clear and true answers to their questions.
I am so frustrated because I enrolled for LPC LLM and spent almost £15k on this course and they have been so unhelpful that I feel like all that money has gone down the drain. My career literally depends on this course and they take that fact so non-seriously and do not provide you with sufficient support AT ALL!
Currently I have my resits in less than 2 weeks and I am desperately seeking feedback from the Assessment's office as the one they sent me was password protected and I can not access it. Upon calling them all they said was that they are not sure what the password could be and they will resend the feedback without a password but do not know when like???? How are you of any help as an assessment team if you don't even know when you might or might not re-send the feedback to students who desperately need it. It is YOUR job, how can YOU not know the timelines.
One more thing; when I called them with a question they answered very vaguely (equivalent to no answer) and told me to contact some other team and upon contacting the other team, they told me to contact the first team?! They need to sort themselves out immediately!!! I have so many more complaints that I could write for the whole day but I will leave it here because honestly it is not like they would do anything about it. I just wish I could get my money and time back because it was nothing but waste to spend it all on this university.
To all those considering going here, PLEASE do not for your own mental health, it is just not worth it!
If there was an option to provide 0 stars when I would. My course at this 'university' has been nothing but an awful experience for me - I decided (off my own back) to work full time alongside studying full time. I would consider myself academic and enjoy learning but the university made me feel stupid and invisible; their admin responses are between 7-10 days, they gave very brief responses to comments and questions in meetings and then when it came to the results of my assignments, included a range of different comments that they hadn't even mentioned beforehand. There is one particular member of staff in the Psychology department who is rude and degrading. Waste of money.
The teaching is okay, the tutors appears quite knowledgeable and receptive to emails. However, the general governance of ULaw is nothing short of horrendous. They have absolutely no interest in student wellbeing, I have been threatened and bullied over non-existent tuition debts. I was even cut off just before a coursework submission over a debt which they accepted afterwards wasn’t owing - I then had to submit the coursework late due to their mistake. It’s a complete shambles.
No teachers, low rent presentations, pathetic money grab. These people have franchises on campuses across the uk, the course is an online system with zero lectures and masses of chapters of other peoples work, the requirements to pass are to regurgitate the info to them exactly as you want it. There is no information they provide that isn’t on YouTube this is a disgrace.
All uni law staff are very good
Uni law is the best uni in uk
don't apply in this uni time waste to much 3 4 month cas dealy after clear the interview they don't give a cas so why horrible uni clear the interview why they taking the fees bad experience i ever seen. one of the bad or we can se scam uni of law bad tooo much badd experience pls don't apply in this uni. it's s fake scam uni 0 rating experience
The lecturers have been great and some of the staff have been awesome.
The entirety of their central administration is operated by call centres in India, call any of their phone lines and see, just a money saving excersize with zero regard for customer service.
I have had significant issues getting any assistance with my concerns, with not all but some rude staff putting the phone down on me, or brushing me off.
Their level of spoken english is very medicore and many have thick accents. I have no issue with this, however when you are trying to explain complex or pressing issues many are unable to string together sentences complex enough to answer your query, most of the time you are directed to 'email them'... then THEY DO NOT RESPOND. It a cycle of abysmal customer service, that im sure ULaw executive's have no issue with as they saving money out-sourcing the service.
The administration is appalling; errors in most internal exams and emails. The teaching is good.
