My Mum was bought a bottle of La Nuit perfume for her 80th. After a week or so the nozzle stopped working and was no longer useable. She reached out to Lancôme who had her sending photos, videos of it not working, the unique number of the bottle, all of which she did. Then refused to help unless she could provide the receipt. Her 88 year old friend who bought it for couldn’t provide the receipt but Lancôme were not interested. Two very upset old ladies and a very uncaring customer services. Their products are very inferior to what they used to be. Will never buy Lancôme again

Lancome is clearly not the same company or products. But still charging a premium for their makeup. They changed their foundation that cost $65 a bottle, it's now comparable to low quality liquidy versions in drugstore. And their once great eyeliner Le Stylo is garbage now. Last three I purchased in Macys and Amazon kept breaking everytime you'd try to use it until it was empty. They've ripped me off for about $150 and won't even replace or listen. When I contacted their company, the rude representative was unprofessional and could care less. Told me nothing she could do. Not even a replacement to see if they're better, though I'm sure the replacements are the same, changed and terrible

Poor website design and support. Was trying to make a purchase during sale, website doesn’t advise on some items that out if stock, but while transaction processing via PayPal, out of stock items disappear from the order without notification, end up paying for shipping on a previously free shipping order. Wasted personal time on calls to cancel. Not a fan.

Why would you change the names of the foundation that many of us have worn for years, and your online shade finder is a joke. I have a cool complexion, so why is my makeup orange? The quality of the makeup and applicators has decreased to the point where I can find better quality at the dollar store. Not sure if management has changed, but you guys need to get rid of whoever is making these stupid decisions before your company is ruined. I just spent $300 with your company for the LAST TIME. If I want Dollar Store products, Ill just go there. Estee Lauder here I come. Thanks again for wasting my hard earned money and making me look like a clown. I ordered idol perfume from this company and returned it immediately the next day. The formula has changed or something is very wrong with what they sent me! Lancôme got my return on March 19 but I have not received a refund even though I sent back everything including 2 gifts for purchase (never opened) says 7 business days for refund but it’s been 15 days. I called customer service and they said even though it is not acceptable I have to pay for shipping both ways and my return is stuck in processing so if I don’t receive my money back they will have to process it manually? The customer service rep was nice but if they aren’t returning my money in the time frame stated by the company then nice means nothing! There is some sort of scam going on here and I do not trust this company as the perfume I’ve worn for years was counterfeit

Used the e shade finder online to find my new foundation colour after all the rebranding and ordered the shade recommended from John Lewis (335) it was way too dark and unusable but obviously I had to open it to find that out. Went into boots and they matched my colour to 235. Contacted customer service to ask for a refund on the unusable one but apparently they don't refund opened products. Don't use the e shade finder it's useless and lancome aren't bothered if they recommend the wrong shade. Expected more from a premium brand so now on the lookout for a different foundation
Useless quality control and rubbish customer service.
Just received the 2 items I ordered. One is correct the other is missing. A wrong item has been sent, a totally different colour and name. 2 free samples supposedly but one is missing and the other cardboard sleeve is there, but there no perfume sample inside! Ring to tell them to find I have to email to tell them the same thing AND give my ID!! AND wait for a refund, they won't just send the missing item. Appalling customer service. The bloke I spoke to sounded like I'd woken him from a nap. I'm going on holiday and wanted the item to take with me. #uselesslancome
A love-hate relationship
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Lancôme. I absolutely adore their mascaras - Hypnose is my holy grail for gorgeous, full lashes. But their Teint Idole foundation disappoints me - it emphasizes every dry patch and clings to lines.
I'll still use Lancôme for my lash needs, but I prefer other brands for the rest of my makeup.

Contacted them to correct the address. They sent my package to a wrong address. I tried to fix THEIR mistake, not mine. But they refused to contact DHL to adjust it. In their every single word, they tried to blame me (while they are the only one providing the wrong address to the courier). They are just blaming customers for their own mistakes! They are a huge international company but their policy is just too bad. I really don't know what they need CS department for. Shame to L'Oreal!

After more than 30 years of purchasing exclusively Lancome skin care and make up at the counters of Nordstrom‘s and Bloomingdale’s! in November 2023,I thought,I would give their online site a try!! My goodness, hindsight is 2020,but if I were to consider everything from the moment, I ordered my Christmas box and the new tint concealer. I would have blew up my phone before, I would’ve ordered from them,when I tell you that the online site is an absolute positive sham believe me!!they took my money within seconds, and then waited at least two weeks before they ship my purchase and then when they did, the concealer was opened, and out of nowhere, the product that were new, as well as the ones I already been using as a regiment. All of a sudden my face became broke out like a teenager and I couldn’t identify the source because there were too many sources frankly, and then in addition to that I know now that the perfume is totally fake. I don’t as soon as you put it on like you can smell the bottle and it’s so fragrant you put it on your body and it disappears immediately. There’s no residual smell ever so these are things that I’m telling you that I learned after everything was said and done so I phoned to inquire about my face breaking out and they told me that I needed to go through their process as well as I had to be interviewed by another department and then when I finally was interviewed, they said OK we must have an allergic reaction so we’re gonna give you a full refund, don’t use the products. Don’t ship them back and from there they have jerked me around big time never got the refund. They use this preposterous reason that I didn’t get my refund was because I didn’t unlock my card to receive a refund and because I didn’t unlock it, they only do that once, and therefore, they have three years of protection from ever trying to attempt to give you a refund there thereafter, which is fraud as far as I’m concerned, I mean I had been given the runaround so many times by so many people that I finally just gave up. I didn’t even care anymore at that point because when you’re dealing online you have absolutely no leverage that’s why I’m telling you now. Do not order anything online. Let alone Lancome Lancome is not not a French skincare company anymore. It is L’Oreal and what they have done is they have cheapened and deluded and put God knows what in the ingredients And, passing it off as they old superb products I used it forever and I always got the best results so that’s why I know for a fact that they have tampered with the Lancôme line when they bought the skincare line!! if I were a betting person I would tell you right now that that online operation consist of about 15 people in a probably in an apartment probably not even in a business setting with phones and a lot of coaching on how to confuse the consumer, and wear them down to where they just give up eventually because you you have no recourse and they know the attorney general isn’t going to investigate their little puny operation their illegal operation so anyone out there that wants to save a trip to the counter of one of the exclusive department stores to purchase. Zero Service
Have been purchasing directly from their website over 2 yrs and in gold tier, never had the need to reach their CS. However, this Black Friday period made me realize how bad it is! I had the same issue regarding the rewards points with some other users here, and for my case it's even worse as they just left the enquiry there. Well, they did reply for my original question, after 2 working days, just to ask me to screenshot the screen showing the points deducted. I'm pretty sure they had the records on their system. So stupid.
Trust me, it'd be much better if you just buy from myer/david jones, since they also offer point system but that is much clearer and the conditions are fairer for us consumers. If you know a staff from those department stores, definitely it's a better deal. Or like me, you can go to mecca to find some other products there and say goodbye to this brand.
Worst customer experience ever
Worst customer experience ever! I was trying to redeem my reward points but somehow was only allowed to select two items even though I had a lot more points left. Chatted with one rep online, she first said items were out of stock without even asking what items I was trying to redeem. I was sure they were not out of stock since if I could select any two. Then she said there was a limit of two. I never saw that anywhere on their website. Then she said the policy was being updated and told me just place your order. I contacted another rep, she asked what I was trying to redeem. And after I told her that I could only select two, she said that was the limit. From my previous experience, I just knew that I could not trust what they told me. So I tried refreshing my page a few times, and it turned out I could select more than two items! It was obviously a hiccup with their website. Their reps just made up stories to bs their customer!
What an AWFUL customer service
1. They actively offered me a code which was said to be valid for 3 months and it turned out to be expired within a week.
2. The BLACKFRIDAY deal was literally a SCAM!! Careful guys, they won’t give you the extra exclusive item and there is no need to contact them because they will ask you to bear the loss like how they instruct you to cancel/amend order. All risks are on you.
3. Agents of customer service will make up excuses to try to make you take responsibility and use some hidden terms and conditions to make it as hard as possible for you to argue.

Constant missing or wrong items from online orders
This is so far one of the worst customer service I came across recently. Every online order has either a missing item or a wrong item. The customer service agents mislead about placing replacements. There are no confirmations or any information on the account. It seems like they expect us just to forget about the wrong order. I had to dispute my charges in order for them to send me a replacement order. Ridiculous. I don't think I will give another try. Every time I have nightmares dealing with their customer service.

Scammers! I’m in shock! I used to buy Lancôme from Lord and Taylor for the last 20 years, and now that the store recently closed, I tried buying directly from Lancôme. Wow. What a shock. The product is cheap, the customer service is absolutely horrendous, and on top, they won’t refund the money for the shipped back (unused and unopened) items!!!! I emailed and called multiple times, and nothing! The reps just keep saying ‘they don’t know anything and someone will reach out to me.’ Well, it’s been weeks and no money, no product, and definitely no one is reaching out. I made a mistake of buying through PayPal. So make sure you buy with your good credit card to have protection.
FIX THE TOPS!
I will no longer call Lancome to try and be a good customer and give them advice They obviously care nothing about their customers. I have called in the past about 5 x that the tops of their foundation does not stay on! Every time I buy the product, the top falls off when I pack it, I know from friends I am not the only one that has complained about this. I encouraged them to ask what the cheaper brands do because the Loreal and CoverGirl tops always stay on! Of course, I prefer the Lancome, but I will switch to another good brand because I am so sick of the top ALWAYS coming off! I don't think they ever addressed my several phone calls and emails.

I have been using Lancome for many years, but my last order made me wonder which brand I would use from now on. I placed an order on May 30th, I had no information about my order and had to remind the buyer about the order on June 24th. Finally they shipped my order, but I received 2 out of 3 products from my order and it didn't have a receipt. They didn't contact me about the delay, I wrote a review under a product I didn't find with a picture of what I received and the customer removed my review without any comet, just said it was not a valid comment. So, that's the big ban on re-ordering at Lancome.ca. Very sad.
