My pen cap broke on my lamy all star. I requested a replacement and was astounded to how easy it was. I just received my cap today and I'm extremely happy with the customer support I received and lamys commitment to quality.😀

I was given a Lamy 2000 pen in 1971.
A month ago we moved house and somehow the pen got broken. Not expecting anything really I sent it to Lamy in Germany who not only replaced the cap ,barrel and filler, but returned it FOC! Heart warming and swift service.

Perfect support.

I own two Lamy2000 fountain pens. I dropped one the floor and Lamy support repaired it (new tip) free of charge.

Price is quite high but it is an excellent fountain pen and the support is really worth the price. That is how companies should work.

I have placed an order from the UK on the 12th October. Received shipping notification on the 14th saying that item is shipped and the tracking number is ….
Nothing… the space for the tracking number is empty. I have waited 2 days for any further information but nothing so requested tracking number on email.
They told me that my request was forwarded to the relevant department.
5 days later I wrote to them again jaut to receive a response that they have not heard back anything from the responsible department.
12 days passed since I placed that order and still no tracking information.
No idea what kind of company is not able to retrieve such a simple data - unless they never sent the goods. Now I have to run after my money.

If you are outside Germany, think twice before buying any Lamy product as the accessories and refills may not be available in your home country and it will cost triple the price of the refill to have it shipped to your address.

Lamy customer service is lousy and impolite. I have bought a rollerball pen and its refill cost GBP and shipping cost is GBP 9.

Bought this pen from Cult Pens and the nib this pen comes with is scratchy and awful and the replacement nib is pricy . This pen is overrated as it was cheaper just to buy a cheaper fountain pen(Preppy which is perfect.

I wanted a couple of LAMY pens to give my grandchildren for Christmas, and noticed that C.Joseph Lamy in Germany offered to engrave the pens with the user's name. It was more inconvenient and more expensive than buying the pens locally in London, but I thought it was a nice touch. The engraving looked black in their website. The pens arrived a few days later and, to my annoyance, I saw that the letters of the engraving were tiny and in a pale gold colour that could hardly be seen, considering that one pen was yellow and the other light green. I immediately wrote to them explaining the issue. They first said they would investigate the problem, then asked me for photographs as if they didn't know what service they provide. All of this was well before Christmas, but as I didn't hear from them I just gave the boys the pens, feeling very embarrassed. Over 6 weeks later, I received an email telling me that they can send me a 'neutral container' or, if I send the pens back, they will give me a refund, which is too little too late. I certainly didn't expect such poor quality and appalling customer service from a German company.

Excellent customer support. I bought two lamy safaris and one of them was defective. After contacting the company they immediately fixed the problem, free of charge. Well trusted company.

Asked Lamy for assistance to help repair a Lamy Dialog 3. I was asked instead to contact the local distributor which I did.

The distributor ignored my correspondence even after waiting for a month and I was so disgusted at both that I just salvaged what I could from the pen and chucked the rest.

Will never trust Lamy's after-sales nor any of their products with moving parts.

I own a Lamy 2000 fountain pen and it is just such a perfect design. Practical for daily use and beautiful to look at.
I returned it to the factory in Germany recently for a refurbishment (it had developed a slight leak), and it was promptly returned, looking like new and once again writing perfectly. And no charge!!
