Over the past few years I have made several purchases from Lampspares. I am a private customer so I am only able to review the side of the company that deals with the general public. This review is based on all these experiences.

I undertake creative projects as therapy for my Complex PTSD, occasionally, these involve lighting.

I am just completing one such project. I always check the usual suspects for what they have to offer, Amazon & eBay etc, but return to Lampspares.

Lampspares is a “one stop shop” for everything lighting, accommodating even my “out of the box” creations. I find the website easy to navigate. I find the prices to be competitive… I have found slightly lower prices elsewhere but when I go there, the quality matches the price.. lower. I have also never found so many options in one convenient place; making comparisons easy & choices simple.

None of the reasons above are enough to make me want to write a review. For me, in this AI driven world of frustration, actually interacting with a Human Being is becoming impossible… Lampspares is a breath of traditional air. Every order I have questions. On previous orders I have telephoned, but as speech is becoming more stressful, I am relying on emails. My recent purchase required several emails… always promptly answered, always supportive, always extremely helpful, always making me feel valued… PERFECT!

In this commercial landscape of too many options, many international, it is great to have a UK company that shows the rest how it should be done.

My second (or maybe third) time of shopping with Lampspares, and I have to say - awesome, brilliant, efficient and knowledgeable. Just the best people to deal with!
I wanted to swap out the "gubbings" in an old vase style lamp, and change it to something newer and more robust. The team at Lampspares advised me what to buy, and what sizes I needed etc. It all arrived within a few days, and my lamp is like new again!
I'm just grateful that they're 100 miles from me, as I suspect I'd be in their warehouse more regularly than is probably healthy! I would love to wander around their Aladdin's Cave of bits & bobs!

Second purchase from this company. Thanks to them and their incredible help and guidance in the form of written instructions and ‘how to’ videos, I was able to make two table lamps from flutes, one for my daughter and one for myself, with absolutely no experience at all.

whether you ar making or repairing a lamp, lamp spares stocks a huge range of parts for the job. The site is easy to negotiate and to chose and select items required. Once bought the items quickly dispatched. The quality of the products sold is excellent and well priced.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
Bought twist cable lamp set. Installed. Does not fit ANY lightshade. I have tried lightshades from John Lewis, Dunelm, Laredoubte, Etsy, all with European fitting, but the light fixture has been made too big - it is more than 40mm so none of these fit.
I now have to pay electrician to come to take them down and install something else. Apparently, I should have checked that a standard lightshade fit a standard fitting before installing - perhaps they should check before they sell them?

A great company.... Everything is clearly laid out ,and each part is explained...
You know exactly what your getting and the product range is excellent.
Prompt postage and great customer service.

Ordered some wiring for my bottle lamp here. Fits perfect. Super good products! Only downside, Dutch customs kept the goods 2 weeks before releasing them to me.. And I had to pay extra because I ordered something from the UK. Today I received everything and made my bottle lamp!

I have placed several separate orders on different dates over the last two months and received an excellent service everytime.

Had slight problem with rocker switch,and was sent two other ones no problem can highly recommend,and nice attitude on the phone very happy with the company👍

The lamp holder of a favourite wooden-based lamp was damaged during a house move and I'd previously struggled to identify the correct parts to repair it. Eve was very patient helping me work out what to order, the delivery arrived faster than expected and I'm delighted that it's now mended and working. Thank you!

Although the product page remains the same the product has changed. they were neutral, now they are warm, no mention of this on the website. I now have 3 bulbs that don't match (2 warm, 1 neutral) and the customer service reply is "buy another" albeit with free shipping, If you had updated your product page with the new photos of the new packaging, it would alert the customer the product has changed as it now clearly states "warm".
My second order number was 2209350, just incase you feel like looking into this properly this time.

I revisit this review now and have noticed you have published a private email i sent to you. Do you want to run that passed your legal aid? i think thats copyright breach and i didn't agree for you to publish that email.

Just to confirm the refund you offered "we offered a full refund on the 2 lamps we sent you" was based on me returning the bulbs in original packaging, which i could't do as packaging had been discarded. So the only option you offered me was to buy another bulb with free postage which i didn't think was satisfactory.

As for you using words like "ridiculous" and "unreasonable", thats just what people say when they run out of relevant points to make and i think it makes you look a bit silly. But i get it Rich, you have to keep replying to show your doing your upmost to resolve the situation as well as defending your company's reputation. But publishing a private email i sent to you surely has only damaged you reputation, take it down.

It looks OK, but try installing it and it turns out to be complete rubbish!
At first it all seemed so easy and took five minutes, until I was trying to close the cover and fasten it with the retaining thumb screws, which is virtually impossible because of the way the item was manufactured. After 15 minutes I gave up, removed the installation and put it where it belongs - in the rubbish bin. Cheap, badly designed and poorly manufactured product. Avoid!

Sorry for the late review; the service and products received and purchased was top draw. I would strongly recommend Lampspares you won't be disappointed.

Pull switch failed on one of a pair of wall lights. Prepared myself for the hassle and expense of replacements. Lampspares had EXACTLY the right part for a couple of quid. Very fast delivery and a 10 minute repair put everything right!
