Labstep have suddenly started charging for use and locked my account without warning, asking $30 per lab member per month to re-open the account.

An Indispensable Scientific Software
An online labbook you can access from any device with internet connection. You can create an endless library of protocols and experiments, upload pictures, documents and videos to them, print them out, share them with others, allow other users to collaborate and it allows you to track any changes made to your files. It works as data management system and as a back up of your traditional labbook. Everything about Labstep has been very, very well thought out. It's an excellent scientific tool that I have been recommending for years to all my colleagues and coworkers. And best of all, it's free.
